  1. Also, it's not like all Raiding Guilds were doing this. The vast majority of Serious Raiding Guilds were easily running DS Normal with their Firelands Heroic gear.
  2. You're asking BW to develop a sophisticated Tool-like Feature for multiplayer. That is outside their expertise. There is a reason this game had almost no multiplayer features at launch and the ones that were there (GTN, Guild Interface) were blah. Is this what happens when a Single PLayer developer makes MMOs? I wonder if Elder Scrolls Online will have the same inadequacies.
  3. Just watched the new video with James Ohlen. When he said "You'll be able to find groups in minutes," I almost broke my hip falling out of my chair. Is this game really being run by such delusion?
  4. Blizzard's firings are different. WoW will jump back up to 12+ mill with MoP. They made a business decision that is unfortunately made too often in our world. Those employees were tenured employees and the people who Blizz will hire in their place will be paid starting salaries. For TOR to fire employees this soon after launch is a bit different.
  5. That's how WoW does it. People don't want a WoW clone? Ok, implement X-server with different rules. People are always accusing others of being narrow-minded and yet they feel like if X-server LFD is implemented it must be implemented the same way WoW has. You assume people have the same time schedule as you do. People are in Guilds and they have friends but that doesn't promise anything. Not everyone plays countless hours everyday and not everyone plays during peak hours. Blizzard progressively nerfs content over time to allow casual Dungeon/Raiding guilds to have a shot at the content. You want a challenge? Beat the raids before they start nerfing it like the serious Guilds do. Or do the Heroic Raids. CC is needed when players first encounter the instances with previous expansion/patch gear. Eventually as your party gears up, CC will no longer be needed. Why is that not understood? Sorry, but due to the single-player following this game has I've explained simple Trinity mechanics to more players here than in the entire time I've played WoW. WoW, actually has better instance runners than this game due to the sheer number of instances they run over there. Wait... which game has lost it's "I want to play again button?" WoW or TOR? I think you just got tired of WoW. Seriously, who plays the same game for 7+ years? Again, nobody can say why all the millions of people left WoW. Players quit games every day for hundreds of reasons. Like I said before, who plays the same game for 7+ years? The opposite is true as well. The anti-LFD players don't care that other players can't get groups within their Gametime. They won't care even if this game hits 200K subs. And how is this attitude different from real life? The guy in the corvette reving his engines at you, the co-worker who thinks their %^%^ smells like roses, the boss who thinks you're an insect under his/her shoe. We deal with jerks every day. It's how YOU react to them that really counts.
  6. Someone's opinion rings more true though. The multiplayer features in this game suck. The GTN? Awful. The Guild Interface? Pathetic. The current LFD? Laughable. Even the Chat Window is lousy. As for the complaint with soloability? You can get to level 50 solo and that's not opinion.
  7. Exactly. This game lacks multiplayer features. Kinda makes sense considering BW is a (was) Single-Player Developer.
  8. Well, than that player would have a "Deserter" debuff on them for X amount of time, not allowing them to reque. X-server Tool doesn't have to stand alone. There are other features that can be tied into it to solve potential issues.
  9. That's the beauty of the X-server Tool. Someone bails? Reque, reload and move on - simple. If someone bails that you picked up in fleet? You're screwed.
  10. No matter what they do you can argue that they're listening to the fans - LFD or no LFD. Not sure what this thread proves.
  11. I think people are being overly sensitive to X-server, gearscore, playerscore and all that other fluff. Who cares. If you get upset because the guy driving next to you has a better car than that's your problem. I've never had the best of the best gear and I've never cared who did. All I want is to have fun and spamming "LFG" is not fun. And sitting in a same-server que until my game time is up is no fun either.
  12. When I read this I had an image of a bunch of BW Devs sitting around a computer wondering how to make a X-server Tool and finally decided to ask the community Forum.
  13. OK. Today has been a disappointment. "Respect the communities that have developed on servers.." WHAT!? The only thing that's developed is an Exodus OFF the servers. I'm tired of playing a game run by Ewoks. I unsubbed just now. I see my Sub as an investment to the game and Mr. Erickson gave me a reason not to invest any more. I still have gametime remaining so I'll continue my ALT play until it ends.
  14. That would require BW to make a more complicated Loot system than they already have. The features department is not their strong point. I think what we got here is a single-player Developer that is way out of their element. The lack of multiplayer features and tools is proof of that.
  15. No, they don't need the XLFD Tool because they have all the time in the world to play this game. It's the people who have limited game time that want the Tool.
  16. Damn, you remember 3 ninjas from a year ago? That's impressive. But hey, at least you were able to run a dungeon while leveling. If WoW had a same-server, you wouldn't be able to do that.
  17. My Guild on WoW is awsome. They are the players on my server who I have found to connect with. Who cares about the others?
  18. I would take the chance of having my item ninjad from me anytime if it means I can actually run a FP. Not sure what you mean by ZERO recourse. There is a kick option. Also, it depends on how BW implements a loot system that controls it's dispersment, not the X-server tool itself. WoW's Vanilla X-server LFD was quite a terror and people left the game than and brought their horror stories with them. But that was years ago. It's changed. Ninjas are not the NORM these days. Players need to distinguish the following: -X-server LFD -Loot System
  19. Yup. Off peak hours. Lower level content during Peak hours. Basically every problem other MMOs had with a single-server LFD and these servers carry fewer players too. They're buying time. They're desperately trying to make one right now. PR wise they can't say that. They have to pretend everything is going according to plan.
  20. They just don't know how to make one, that's all. Their single-server LFD is a notch better than what they have now, which is Stone-Age.
  21. Soon? Soon? SOON???????!?!?!?! Well, at least it's soon!
  22. I agree that the decision makers are to blame. Even before release they always took a neutral stance on every controversial MMO feature. Combat logs, addons, X-server Tech, Dual-spec, Transfers, etc etc. It was always "maybe" or "everything is on the table." They are petrified of losing any Subs due to the implementation of any of these features so they sit on their hands hoping the IP will take care of them. That's one thing I respect Blizzard for. They chose a path and went for it and they never look back with their decisions.
  23. "Freeze you Rebel Scum!" "No! Please don't hurt me!" "Haha, do I frighten you?" :hope_04:"A little bit, yes" :csw_trooper:"Guess what's even scarier?" :hope_04:"I'm too scared to ask!" :csw_trooper:"Take a look at this!" :hope_04:"AHH! What is that!" :csw_trooper:"It is your Destiny, Mwhahahaha!" "What's going on here?" :csw_trooper:"Guhh! Sorry Sir! I was just ahhhh... questioning this Rebel scum here." :csw_vader:"and what have you learned?" *whimper* "well I uhh, I uhhhh.. just got started" :csw_vader:"You incompetent ****!" *shudders* :csw_vader:"What do you know Rebel" "I know about the :csw_deathstar:" cont.
