  1. Maybe I'm just getting too cynical in my old age... I find this thread ridiculous. Not so much the topic as I can see where in some cases a good player is going to make good use of these changes. The issue I have is there are already dozens of threads in the Consular and Inquisitor threads complaining about the removal of the 360 degree effect of the ability in question here. This again proves no matter what any developer does people are going to complain and good players will adjust. If you've gotten to this point in this post I have a suggestion. Instead of whining about something that hasn't happened yet why not do something constructive like help a lowbie, level an alt, or run a HM with people who need the gear. Complaining doesn't help the community it prevents its growth. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to go walk my dog and then go log in and help someone through a HM on one of my Empire toons so I don't look like such a hypocrite.
  2. Ok I'll be the idiot that responds to people who can't be helped... From the descriptions above it seems some of you may be referring to different quests. Instead of complaining it would help if you would say which quest you are on and what the instructions in your log tell you to do. It has been since December since I was leveling my Inquis but I'll try to help anyway.
  3. I just had to say this. I don't think they should remove the marking just that it should go away when you die and respawn. One other correction though after reading some of the other comments. If you are marked by the opposing team you CANNOT see it. Any mark you see on your head is your own team's. So I always pop a shield on myself during PvP. I find it gives that little extra incentive to PUG groups to protect me.
  4. Ok I’ve read this thread enough and I can’t take it anymore. The complaining is DISGUSTING… and quite frankly demonstrates many posters inability to read and see a benefit when it is coming. Let me explain WHY the changes are GREAT with an example. Let us say I want to make a critical crafted chest piece to wear and two to sell since I think they are cool looking. (Doesn’t matter which chest piece so don’t ask which one) I’ve got a max affection companion with a critical bonus. So I queue up 5 on her, 5 on another and 5 on a third. So I’ve got 15 cooking. Low and behold when I come back from lunch I’ve got 15 shining new pieces of gear in my inventory and 4 critical crafted. Oh happy day I’ve got 4 augmented items, one to wear and 3 to sell. Now what do I do with those other 11 pieces of crap since in most all cases orange gear with no augment slot is GARBAGE. I Reverse Engineer them!! Now I’ve got my 10 items needed and I make my augment kit. Now I can put that augment slot into my offhand that I didn’t have already plus some extra mats to start the cycle all over again. Yes I’m being snarky but I find your lack of vision disturbing. On a less snarky note I’ll agree I wouldn’t mind seeing a 50% reduction in mod removal costs. And the best idea in this thread is to allow an adaptive armor kit to allow non social gear to become adaptive.
  5. I'll be honest I have not had an issue with much needing to be marked in a while since I almost exclusively run content with guildies. However, for PvP content I have used and normally see the kill order be Target > Fire. As an interesting note in Operations the CC targets are more important. And normally it is more of a marker being asigned to a particular class CC. I almost always see Gear being given for a sorc to CC and Blaster is for a Merc. I find that lightsaber is normally used for a Maurader and no one ever asks a sniper to CC. I also find funny that an operative or assassin's CC target is almost never marked because the just go pick one. I would be curious if Sages are given Gear on the pub side. The above are my observations and typically reflect the way in which I mark when doing so.
  6. I had to post after reading that. I LOVE this idea. I hope you add this to the list of items that the devs are looking at as a replacement to Sacrifice. Might need to be 3 minutes, but in either case this is a GREAT idea. +1 internets for you
  7. I am almost positive that you have to completed Chapter 3 to get the events on Taris.
  8. The same reason any developer would. The more reasons you have to play the more you will play. Since they've said it ends on the 24th today is the last day to start and get all pieces. However, I feel the event is fun. Bit of work for the causual (really bad for the one day a week crowd) but most folks can easily do an hour. Takes me less than an hour to do them all right now. I wouldn't put down this event. For all the world events I've been a part of I like this one and find it to be very fun.
  9. I have found that you need to "unlock" the next daily. So the first day you can do the daily around the ship, infect/cure the Sand people and collect the infected bandages. Day 2 you get the pods. Day 3 you get the jawa scrap. Day four you get the extra samples. I don't know what day 5's is because I didn't do the event Sunday. So if you just started it will take you 5 days to get all the dailys so you can get the social set. Hope that helps.
  10. Overall I like the new layout. However I view this site a lot from my phone. I know it is simple but could you make the "Next" button bigger to scroll through pages easier from a touch screen. Thanks!!
  11. I normally will take the time to read a whole post like this because I feel if someone took the time to write this up they were passionate enough to deserve proper feedback. However when nearly all of your list of CONS are items that are being addressed to some extent in the next game update you loose a leg to stand on. I appreciate your wanting to be heard. However, say something worth listening too. Or say innovative things BEFORE you spew out about issues that have/are being addressed. Hope you continue to enjoy the game and if you made positive suggestions that they were cool and something that would make the game better. I didn't get to read them because of how you defeated any hope of folks taking your post seriously, but hey I'm just one person.
  12. Ok I have to ask this question of all the folks saying that we will still have no choice in how we look if we are going to crit crafted gear. There are TONS of different models of orange gear. Where has it been said that ONLY the level 50 items would be crittable??? I do agree that the "tier" pieces will be suplanted but the Dev aknowledged that and said they were working on it. So there should be no complaint. If a BH wants to look like a SW they can!
  13. Am I the only one that looked at the 2012 timeline and thought "Why the heck is SWTOR listed as a Q3 product?" I'll be honest I didn't expect and expansion within the first year. I hope that is a positive sign!
  14. Posting from my phone so won't be as detailed. I'd like the horizontal scroll options on the /who window so you can read all of a persons LEG comment. Also the ability to reorder a companions abilities so you can use the 4 button mini bar more. That's for putting this together OP
  15. I purchased one. I got a lvl 50 Artifact level pair of gloves. It was heavy armor and aim which I couldn't use. Put it up for sale I'll see if it sold tonight. Not sure it is worth it yet as I like a different state priority than is on the gear right now. I think I'll do at least one more before I write it off.
