  1. This. Sages have three talent trees, any of which are fun and viable. They can heal or choose one of two decent dps trees . They don't have a single cookie cutter pvp spec. Most classes just go in to warzones with the same spec as every other member of their class. No one then tries to claim that an assault specd mercenary is also using talents deep in the bodyguard tree. Not so for sage/sorc. If you are a healing sage for instance your dps is low and you lose almost all aoe and some of the control of the other trees. Most other players are either ignorant of this or being disengenuous
  2. In addition to being diabolical, you also have chat options that allow you to give crazy responses (as in mad)
  3. Fixed It's not that you have to *go* to all of the various points along the way (although it is total overkill imo) but that you have to dismount so often and the ridiculous amount of load screens you have to endure I remind you ... 800 programmers on four continents and 200 million It's like the US government contracted out for this game and ended up with $2000 toilet seats. Some of those people were clearly padding the invoices cause art and story aside, the tech side of the shop didn't deliver what they were paid for. Like I said, Love the game but the lack of polish just makes me wince
  4. I'm sure it's been mentioned, but i highly doubt the Devs are any more pleased with the travel system than we are. It's the klunky programming that appears in so many places at work. 800 programmers on 4 continents meant that to get it to all work they had to kludge some stuff together. The endless load screens in this game are really inexcusable and I'm sure they feel the same way but they had to get the thing to market. Love the game. Quit my other subs to play here, but they don't seem to have the best programming chops you could have had for 200 million, imo.
  5. Has he clicked on the holodeck in his ship ? As I recall, once you do that, the general gives you a choice of Taris or Nar Shadaa
  6. Just a bit of feedback. The backgrounds on the pages are a bit of a distraction with the images. Some folks vision isn't what it could be and the cleaner the page, the easier. A nice, neutral background might work better
  7. Wow I can't even begin to understand this.
  8. This just goes to show that you never know!!! Last night, there was a group LF healer for hardmodes that very specifically stated that they were only looking for a bodyguard. They were at it for a good 20 minutes so the fact that they no doubt turned away several sorc/ops while they waited seems interesting to say the least
  9. Good tip. I have Gault and he has +10 UT efficiency
  10. Ok, thanks. I was just concerned that I'd be spending all these credits on mission skills that didn't really pertain to my exact needs since I'm not raiding I guess I can always sell what I don't need on the GTN.
  11. So far, I've just been gathering (arch/scav/bio) but I've hit 30 on my BH and started an agent as well. Since Armormech will presumably provide at least current level greens/blues for both characters and all their companions, I'm considering that for my BH and Bioanalysis for my Agent My question is this: would it be a disaster to not take either Underworld Trading or Diplomacy with either character? I'd kind of like to keep both scavenging and Bioanalysis for both characters so that no matter which one I'm playing, I'm gathering for both. Are the mats from the mission skills only pertinent to lvl 50 (and endgame) or do you really need it for the rest of the game?
  12. I experienced all of these bugs yesterday 1) When entering the Hangar Bay from the airlock for the first time, a droid got hung up on a barrel and resulted in all attacks giving the "you cannot see your target" error. Only way to kill it was AOE 2) Upon reaching the bridge, the master, nor the padawan were present. Went back to the airlock, as recommended above, and reset local instance and that worked (than you guys so much) 3) The padawan, after being defeated continued to heal, or something continued to heal. I had to drag the master almost all the way out of the room in order to get him out of range 4) The master also, in a couple of spots, also gave the "you cannot see your target" error and I had to drag him around even further All in all, very, very frustrating end to what had been a terrific quest series.
  13. How many times? Well, so far you have paid the $15 zero times, so, assuming you are willing to pay the magical $15 *one* time, then you can complain again on February 20th. 1.1 already has the 50 bracket and bio fixes so I imagine a fair amount of the crying will stop after that, but, as your post illustrates, people will cry about the "many times" they have had their wallet picked when the actual number of times so far is zero.
  14. I'm not sure you've effectively put yourself in a healers shoes here like you might think. Tossing out taunt for you is a one button click *on your current target* and guard is a fire and forget once per scrum For a healer to grab these extra medals they have to pretty much stop performing their role and start performing in a completely different way, targeting enemy after enemy, ignoring their *real* targets (teammates) Imagine if, while dpsing, you had to completely ignore your enemies and had to click on all your nearby teammates and use a global cool down before you got back to healing ? That's what it's like to chase medals as a healer Don't even talk about heal medals for dps. If biochem gave a healer only medal every warzone just for clicking a button people would be up in arms Bottom line, medals come easy as dps because they pretty much happen automatically without any extra effort. Not so for healers. Oh, I play dps, for what it's worth
  15. I agree that healers kinda get screwed on medals. As a dps I always sort by heals and vote MVP accordingly. I encourage you all to do the same.
  16. I'm not asking for something flashy but it would be nice to not feel like I'm driving a flying dumpster
  17. When someone rolls need for a companion against another player whose need is for their character is essentially saying "you are nothing but a tool for me to use and discard and whether you feel good or bad is utterly meaningless to me". It's essentially the soulless nature of the Internet at work. I wonder if these same folks are the ones who would mace someone at Walmart to get a $1.98 set of bath towels on Black Friday.
  18. Success rate was changed for the worse as well. I failed a yellow mission moments ago. I ran 10 missions since I cam home from work. A ll Rich/Bountiful. Net loss of 11.2k credits so far. No mission items or schematics
  19. And now you can be proud. Now the game is just taking money and giving back absolutely nothing. Why not scavenging, bionalysis and archaeology? How about every time you send a companion out they always bring back something worth less than you paid for the mission? Sound like a plan?
  20. Done with slicing. I didn't even make a lot, but it at least gave me something to do with my companions. Now it's just a money sink that doesn't yield gear or useful items. For all those who complained that slicing was a way to make credits for doing nothing, now the reverse is true. It's essentially a crewskill that deducts credits from your wallet as soon as you click the button but your companion never returns with anything worthwhilel. You are spending credits with *zero* return. Might as well be a vendor who sells you a "ball of lint" for 400 credits each time you click on him. It also negatively impacts the functionality of companions Don't use companions for flashpoints Don't use companions for operations Don't use companions in warzones Don't use companions for slicing Don't like to slave over the GTN, so companions for other crew skills is pointless Looks like there's not much to do with companions once you're done leveling and now, for many of us, there's nothing to do with your crew skill tab. What started as a mildly innovative attempt to lure non-crafters into using the craft system ended up in abject failure. Nice goin'.
