  1. Im starting to use flamethrower as a finisher (below 30%) not sure if the damage is increased or not but coupled with a thermal detonator and dots the target drops quickly, still not sure if its at all better than unload, but its fun to use when unload is on cooldown
  2. Im making this thread to discuss a couple of issues i have with the mercenary class. I have been playing mercenary since launch and have mainly favored pyro through out most of the patches. So the core of my issues will be focused on this spec, but i will also talk about the arsenal spec as well. 1. Interupts - In regards to interrupts bioware has done it completely wrong, heres an example. Jet boost - lets keep in mind that we are a ranged class designed to fight from a distance, this fact alone ruins Jet Boost as an interrupt. It's kind of ridiculous to have to run into melee range as a ranged class in order to stop a cast, although i do it because its necessary but its still all very awkward. It forces me to fight in melee range as a ranged class its idiotic. Concussion missile - Lol, i'd love to think as this as an interrupt but this is best used as a cc rather than a quick interrupt, why am i forced to use it as an interrupt it makes no sense to me. Not only that but I'm pyro spec! My dots break my own cc when can i possibly use this on the person i'm fighting!? Electro dart - Quick and effective but not always practical, resolve bar kicks this one in the face as well as my knock back. Also im way to busy using it on melee to run away because they cut through me like butter. Rocket Punch with after burners - Same issue as Jet boost although i love its animation (Shoryuken!) and short cooldown. 2. Survivability Bioware has given me the tools to run away and thats exactly what i do to survive. LOS is my best friend, but lets be realistic while im running away I'm receiving more damage than I'm dealing , until i find a nice safe spot to start shooting from or to heal. If i choose to heal I'm dealing no damage and most likely wasting time. (But what about your healers!) Sure if i have any then i can afford to stay in one spot and deal damage, but they arent always healing me, nor are they always on my team. Dont get me wrong i have no problem moving around and using los to my advantage, but our class is designed to bunker down and deal damage. I am forced to fight melee toe to toe as ranged and while yes its fair to the melee class, i just hope i could get one more tool for survivability or just buff kolto overload. I gimp myself in order to go face to face with melee by grabbing stabilizers as pyro instead of hired muscle. Again why am i forced to do this? Is this balancing? Is it because i already recieve 3% crit from burnout? I would suggest allowing the knock back on missile blast to be effective on players, even if it is just another tool to run away with. I feel doing this would benefit the mercenary class tremendously and end most complaints about the class. Not only would it introduce an interrupt but it also serves as a "Back off" move against melee when everything else is on CD 3. Flamethrower - Hmm, I'm not to sure what to make of it. At first i thought for sure that it would be effected by the pyro tree, but its not...this makes no sense to me. Why is a full pyro move not effected by the pyro tree! This is an outrage! Does this move work with burnout? Why is it so easily interrupt able? Is it an anti melee move? How can it be? Melee destroy the channeling time. Why is bioware again forcing me to close the gap between me and my enemy as a ranged class in order to use all my moves to its full potential? Why doesn't this move make people go on fire? Or does it...am i blind...I'm so confused by this move! Post any issues you may have with Mercenary pvp!

Im wondering if it counts as a periodic elemental effect to stack with Burnout (Increases tech critical hit chance by [1 / 2 / 3]% and increases the damage dealt by periodic elemental effects by [10 / 20 / 30]% on targets below 30% max health.) Overall i think bioware needs to rethink this move.
  4. I feel that merc's need 1 extra tool for survivability, or buff the hell out of kolto overload. Also i feel as if merc's need to have the ability to use DFA right below them to punish melee, its easily interrupt able but it could also be that extra boost that we need in dmg to win some fights. I feel as if bioware thinks we dont need more survivability because we can heal, but thats just not practical enough.
  5. Bioware please listen to what i am suggesting as i feel this will help 1 sided fights in Ilum. Auto Recruitment for Ilum Implement a system where auto invites or messages (Let the player have the choice of either) are sent out automatically to all players in city's or fleets. This invite will automatically spawn you in Ilum if you decide to take it. This should be initiated in 2 ways: 1. Either Side takes control of Ilum. (20min cooldown) 2. An Alert button that either side can press at their respective base. (30 min cooldown) Introduce a reward for taking these auto invites, but keep it small to not encourage abuse Possibly a title for Reinforcing a (x) amount of times I posted this in the pvp forums but i guess this is a better place for it

  7. Not untill you take off the Armor that is.....is this bug just on my side?

Marauders are the 1v1 king (they only had Ops/smgl to hold them back) and are a valuable asset to any team hoping to win a WZ, OP but not broken (maybe a little), a good marauder can easily take on any good merc because of its awesome burst and survivability. As a Full BM geared Merc i can say confidently that i cannot beat a GOOD Marauder 1v1 in a flat fighting area. My knock backs and stuns arent enough on flat terrain. The best Marauder I know agrees that Merc a ranged class is his easiest target. Melee is not weak in this game. I know i never want to see a full team of Marauders ever.
  10. Are there any plans to buff Mercenary Pyrotech survivability, as well as buff the less popular specs from other classes?
  11. Powertech that go Pyrotech are the most OP right now imo they will 100-0 you in a couple of seconds
  12. Id say this is where the not having the resolve bar capped comes in handy. What im trying to say is it looks like balancing is being done with group pvp in mind. If you havent noticed in 50wz and 1-49 wz alike it now takes team work to actually win a game....the team with the best teamwork...(everyone doing there job atleast 75% effectivley) will almost always win. Im sure you guys can manage to get the correct gear / mods (<--This is still key) for big numbers to be feared in complete 1v1.

Burst damage is key... im not a OP/scdl but this seems true for any pvp dps spec ....figure out a way to increase your single target burst (crit surge helps here) keep the bigger hitting ones for the end. At least thats how it is with BH pyrotech. Idk much about your class but it seems to me if you want to be helpfull in WZ, your best bet may actually be to just be stealthed untill you see your team focus someone, and you finish them off almost instantly then pop back in the shadows. If a OP did this more often instead of just going after me full health. Id fear it almost completely, especially if this happened a good percent of the time i was alive. Its kind of cheesy but if that nerf is really hurting you that bad...i would give it a shot To me you are your teams IWIN button....against single targets.
