  1. You said it ALL! Why go play an Unranked game and still risk facing that 4 man Premade that are in there just for the "fun" of roflstomping my undergeared and less-skilled behind? When i could ( after the ELO's had stabilized ) go play a ranked SOLO ( no pre-mades of ANY kind ) WZ with people at or around my skill/gear level and have an actual chance of winning?
  2. If i loose my "good" ranking by playing in a Solo-queue, that is supposed to be balanced in overall ranking between the 2 teams (ie. lets say Team 1 has avg. solo rating: 1100 and team 2 has a solo rating of 1111) then that is fine. If the avg. rating between the 2 teams are to big ( lets say 500 in my example), then it defeats the purpose of ranked games and ofc. i would be mad about that. Its all in the implementation. And X-server for more people. What they are doing is forcing the casuals (ie. me) to either spend a LOT of time getting into a PvP based guild with like mineded people or spend a god awfull amount of time trying to get a PuG 8 man group together when i log on, in order to play some "fair" PvP. There is still nothing that prevents those top-ranked players in joining the open "solo" queues ( with a 4 man premade of same top skill players) and roflstomp us solo'ers/casuals just for the fun of it. THAT is the real issue about no SOLO-RANKED. Im not sitting around my room thinking im going to "own" solo-ranked, i just want to "only" play players with my similat PvP skill level and not get roflstomped by the über-skilled players or the players that spend 10 hours a day in SWTOR PvP. I want a LEVEL playing field in that sense.
  3. Just to adress the last thing: Then DONT go to Hoth, ever. If there are 5 vastly different plants, ie. Hoth, Tat, etc. then in "my" idea, dont like a planet? never go there. In the current form of SWTOR you HAVE to go to Hoth to advance your class quest, even if you loathe the planet. And in SWTOR atm. you have NO real space travel ( moving your instanced ship from planet hover point to planet hover point is NOT space travel imo ) , a rail space-shooter solo mini-game is NOT space combat, exploration.... what is there to explore when all the content is static? And i talked about trying to combine the sandbox and themepark MMO's. Ie. a themeparked experience on 5 planets ranging from level 1-50 on each planet. And then the ability to go off the beaten track and on to explore the far reaches of each planet. There could be random generated gangs, tribes, whatnot with random generated quest's that once picked up by 1-2-10 players it dissappears. Thus creating something unique for each player.
  4. But why not try to combine them? Instead of having 20 odd planets that have a small fenced in area, why not create 5 "complete" planets with all that is needed to level from 1-50 ? You didn't even need to leave planet 1 if you didn't want to, but you could also spend time on all the planets if that was what you wanted? Those 5 planets could then have elements of a sandbox and a themepark area. Is it really THAT hard to create?
  5. "Just" doing this would make this game a LOT more interesting. Levelling alt's doing the same Planet quest's over and over and over just bores the s... out of me. Even in the WoW Vanilla you could chose between zones to level in at some point.
  6. Alrite: 1.3 mill subs, is an old number. Granted no-one outside BW/EA knows the current number, but try to just take a look at the server loads: Light, Light, and more Light and then try to ask yourself this: What do I, with the evidence currently available, think is the current number of ACTIVE subscribers. Not the ones like myself, because I for one, are only a subscriber atm. because of the free month. I haven't played for app. 1 month, but i am still counted as a subscriber.
  7. That sound an awfull lot like SWTOR. They apparently didn't learn a lot from the mistakes of LOTRO. Releasing a game with no endgame depth, no World PvP, a couple of warzones that feel show horned in, awfull class balance, really curious performance "bugs", and i could go on and on and on.... And SWTOR also had a good launch, selling almost 2.4 mill copies and my optimistic guess is 500k subs a year after.
  8. We have stopped playing. And unsubbed... but we still have a small amount of hope left that they can and will fix this trainwreck of a game. And that is why i am still hanging around the forums until my free month is finished.
  9. Stop NECRO'ing. L2R: 1.2.0c Patch Notes 4/19/2012 PvP Increased rewards for players on the losing side of Warzone matches. Players will now receive rewards for Warzones if they have earned at least one medal. This thread was started on 4/15/2012 and the rewards for loosing was buffed after that.
  10. @Safgril You Sir, are an ignorant. Yes Bioware doesn't have to do anything. And maybe you are fine about them lying to you, but the matter of fact is that there is a percentage of costumers that are greatly offended by being lied to. And if those people leave the game for good what then happens to the game? Less people = Emptier servers. Emptier servers = More people leave. At some point in time a game becomes a shell with only the MOST dedicated fans still around. Have you tried AOC recently? That game is practically dead. There are SO few servers left and very few people playing the game, its sad. And the same thing could happen to this game. If they don't start working on the things that would matter to people. Legacy solves what? Should people that already have 3-4 level 50's really make another alt? The focus of this patch should have been: Tweaking existing Ops/FP's, etc. , Making new ones, cross-server PvP queues with a working ranking system, and making server-merging possible. What a waste it has been to make armor color able, making your 50-level chars races available to play on the other faction away from your guild, making a slightliy differnt WZ, etc. if you loose a bunch of players. Why was legacy a top priority for Bioware? Maybe it was planned to be in their initial release and they just mindlessly plowed on developing it, instead of actually evaluating what their playerbase really wanted.
  11. Im an averafe PvP'er... prolly below average But loosing 20 WZ matches in a row bc of playing against overgeared, overskilled players just ruins the fun of it. I dont mind getting beaten by a better team, but in the state that PvP is in right now, i can easily see why a lot of ppl are complaining. I really hope that ranked WZ's will help on this, as this will hopefully put me in a more level playing field. I also hope that the ppl that spend countless more hours PvP'ing than me will relish the opportunity to also be in a more level playing field. Winning 20 matches in a row might feel great, but if all 20 matches are facerolls i assume that it will also tire out real fast. As it stands atm, if pre-mades could only play pre-mades they would be punished as there is nothing more than winning and getting tokens. In a ranked environment pre-mades should only play against other pre-mades as now they have something to play for, ie. a better rank and not only better equipment.
