  1. They could set up a group finder like the one for PVE where you set your role. Then, TDM would only start if at least 1 healer role is on each team. Maybe even make it more flexible and let people select 2 roles in the event they need to adapt or change based on other roles in the group. I've already seen ppl re-spec in mid WZ when there was a lack of a certain role. Still open for abuse but really there's no perfect answer unless 2.0 has a fix for the gear/exp discrepancy.
  2. Reminds me of our Three Stooges team we made. Similar effect, different purpose. We still get all kinds of reactions, but we never abandon the objectives. Mainly, we use guerrilla warfare to piss off the other team. 1 conceal (single target lockdown) 1 lethality (mass group annoyance and stall tactics) 1 medic It's a lot of fun. Especially the reactions we get.
  3. Pretty lame, BW, for not having the guts to put the xp Nerf in the patch notes. It's like the stores who raise prices right before a tax holiday. Lame.
  4. I'd say that medals (and hence comms) that a quitter built up be transferred to the person who takes his/her place. Exceptions: nothing transferred to incoming ppl if they are of the same account, guild or friends list (to limit abuse). Nothing transferred either from someone who d/cs.
  5. Like I said before, undo the nerfs from Jan 2012 and we'll be fine.
  6. All thanks to the whopping Nerf bat in Jan 2012. The smash to armor pen and cooldowns was way over the top, all thanks to the river of tears from the Sorc crowd. And then the Sorcs got nerfed and unsubbed anyway, so it was all for naught. Still got the aftertaste of that bitter pill...
  7. This is "kind of" related, but here goes: What about the 40-50 stretch? My char is 36 and is nearing the WZ comm cap. What is there at 40 other than converting to RWZ? Let's say I do that, and i'm like the OP and have both capped, but not yet 50... then what? Health packs and stims? Just wondering.... don't wanna let those comms go to waste.
  8. What's worse is when you try to throw the axe with saber throw or whatever. Yeah. Go try it. Dissapointment in ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
  9. The only silver lining in the current system is that queuing solo as a recruit increases your odds of getting paired with other war heroes (which may or may not be in their own premade). It's still luck, but like you said, making a recruit premade almost entirely means YOUR recruit team is carrying the team, not a few war heroes. I just hate the fact that I even have to let some war heroes "carry" my recruit to victory. But that's a separate issue to the whole PUG vs PUG idea.
  10. Aside from all the doom and gloom right now about what class is OP, hacks, cheats and exploits, I have a very simple idea for those of us that just want a truly random experience in warzones. Essentially, it's an extra checkbox for players that want to opt out of being paired with or against premades. It's all or nothing. You won't be on a team with a premade and you won't fight against one. Yes, your queue may be a bit longer than normal, but it's the price you pay for wanting a true PUG vs PUG matchup. I would have suggested the idea that only premades can be matched against other premades, but without cross server matchups, that would end up duplicating the ranked pvp situation. I realize my idea would also increase queue times for premades, since I'd bet a lot of casual players would opt out, but I think in the end this would curb some of the frustration for warzone pvp with casuals. Maybe further down the line, if they implement cross server matchups, the queue system could be more fine tuned, but this seems like a simple fix for now.
  11. At least you're open to some kind of change. A lot of war heroes just retort with "suck it up". I really don't care what the fix is to the situation, as long as it attempts to balance out. I liked the idea of Valor matching. It would work even greater with cross-server matching, in order to bring down queue times. Those 2 things alone would be enough. BW has to do something here. They made the effort to make 10-49 enjoyable, now it's time to finish the job for 50+
  12. I actually want them to consolidate these nonsensical touchup patches in with the tuesday patch. Seriously, if it's not a game breaking glitch, it can wait another 3 damn days. And if the servers are so crappy they need to be restarted 2-3 times a week, then maybe that's a signal to the customers -- time to ****.
  13. After getting farmed by war hero's for 3 hours tonight, I've lost all sympathy for any of their arguments. At this point, I think if your valor is above 70, you should be forced to play ranked. Take your ego stroking somewhere else. I really don't care how long or how hard you had to work to get the gear, farming fresh 50's for easy mode is pathetic. It ruins it for the rest of us. The drastic change from 10-49 bracket and 50 kills any fun PVP had. It's really like playing 10-49, but without any upscaling.
  14. I agree with MVP bonus to the social score, but nothing major. Also, I'd like a small bonus for those that have the highest objective scores. Say, the top 2 on each team, or just a scaling grade for everyone (ex. 5 PTs per 1000).
  15. You know it's funny that after all the nerfs to dps ops/sc, people still play them frequently. TBH - pre 50, all classes seem pretty equal. Something happens at 50 though that changes the dynamic. I'm just glad people are playing what they like and not just flavor of the month. You'd think you'd see pyro PTs and mara's everywhere, but nope. Weird.
  16. And here I just thought it was bored War Heros that wanted the easy picken's (farming fresh 50's).
  17. Idk. Ganking is very useful in pvp if you're gunning for key enemies, like healers. Scrap/ops can really put the pressure on they enemy team with all the disruptions, snares, stuns, k/ds, and DMg. But I'll agree, this spec on both sides seems to be the most gear dependent, sad to say.
  18. Premades shouldn't be the only way to benefit from pvp. And we shouldn't have to compensate for very poor design flaws.
  19. Its just fun to do in general. I like to jump forward when I do it, all Bruce Lee-like. Plus, it puts me behind them, setting up back blast. Jump + blaster whip and other melee moves are fun too.
  20. /signed And FFS, roll back the timers nerf in 1.2. We're fine as is. I think part of the problem is BW is looking at WZ numbers. I can tell you that info is flawed, because much of that damage is from AOE, not 1on1. That, along with the comparative parse info on the 1.2 PTS, BW needs to scale back on the single target nerfs.
  21. This says alot about BW. If its regarding the free trials, why not plan ahead and combine this with the Tues patch? If its a bug fix and not game breaking, why can't it wait until the next Tues patch? And, how do such bugs consistently go undetected on the PTS? Rather half-assed IMO.
  22. I would like to know what beef Bioware has with Op/Scoundrel that they have to continually nerf this class at every opportunity. Could we please get an explanation? I thought the cries of the pvp babies were silenced with the last nerf to concealment. You guys already know this is the weakest dps class in pvp or pve, but now you add/increase timers which can only kill our pve dps even more? Why?
  23. Not sure if this has been suggested, but wouldn't an easy fix for Legacy/transfers be to say: If transferring 1 character to a server, all characters from the original server must move, then combine the Legacy "experience points"? If that puts total char count about 8 for the new server, then fine. Char creation would be locked until the owner makes room by deleting unwanted chars. Just throwing that out there.
  24. Halted production. Apparently, they used the same parts as the Chevy Volt, and ended up with the same issues. Plus, only rich people bought them as a 2nd car to show off how "green" they were. The taxpayers were getting a little irate about the whole thing, since they were forking up a good chunk to prop up the faulty, glitchy POS. The blame went all the way to the top, including the Emperor, so they're backing out of the spotlight for now.
  25. Easy fix. Give us Jet Leap, then have it share the cooldown with Jet Boost. No abuse of mobility, no problem. Troopers can have it too, "Hydraulic Leap" or something, also with shared CD.
