  1. They can help each other out in terms of items, crafting, and money. Any imperial that is a part of your republics legacy and vice versa can send mail to each other. Perhaps you'd know if you had them both on the same server.
  2. 1. You can find multiple thread's with people complaining about his difficulty (I fought him during early access so my opinion on his difficulty doesn't even exist anymore). 2. Skilled players can do quests multiple levels above them, as long as the target mob isn't high enough to resist everything (29 against a 34, for example.) 3. Most quests have the mobs the same level as the quest recommended level. Therefor, this one should as well. 4. Can't argue with that, lol. /agree And about your whole 32 /=/ 29. For a player who knows what he/she is actually doing, they can usually beat out any quest that out levels them by a few levels.

  4. With parsers out now, some classes (slingers, sents, etc) seem to have a decent advantage over some of the other classes when it comes to dps when they have near identical gear (blackhole/rakata/etc). Can we expect the classes to be closer to target in patch 1.3?
  5. It is not the Robe of Deception like some people are claiming. It is the Ultratech Stalker Robe from normal False Emperor except the one from FE does not have a hood. I have a link to my shadow wearing the Ultratech Stalker Robe. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/27/screenshot2012041623223.jpg/ As you can see it is practically identical except it has no hood.
  6. The "hybrid healer" know as a dps that has heals can only add those heals/shield etc and the cost of their dps. So having lower dps and taking the time out of dpsing to do other things means they would have even lower dps than what you apparently intend. Also, if you are in a raid as a balance sage and having to throw out so heals to help out your healers then perhaps your raid should be worried about taking competent healers and not worry about pure dps over "hybrid". Right? After all, just because my shadow has a tank spec does not mean he can tank any better in dps gear and his dps spec then say a sentinel could. However, you could also argue that a sent in dps gear would actually prove better to tank for a short amount of time due to the cds that they have as opposed to the shadows. Not to say the shadow defensive cds are bad, because the cds are actually amazing. I'm just saying that a pure dps class has comparable survivability to a "hybrid" dps. Just because a class is hybrid in the fact that it can dps or tank, or dps or heal. Does not mean that it can do both while being effective. A dps specced sage should do as much as a dps specced gunslinger, etc. Now if there comes a point that a hybrid can do both effective at the same time, then either the ones that cannot should excel higher, or the hybrids need to be examined so they can only do one role at a time.
  7. I agree with this entirely! We really are in a good spot. I'd be upset if we got a nerf or a buff honestly. I wish more people played balance on Shii-Cho. Most shadows are tanks or infiltration, ah well!

  9. Hm. Balance spec. FiB, Sever Force, Force Breach, Double Strike, Saber Strike, Spinning Strike, Shadow Strike, mind crush, and project(though in pve I find myself using it less in favor of better force management). That's nine abilities I use in my pve spec for a rotation with project being a variable. This only grows in pvp when you add in other abilities such as slow into the mix. So while it may be almost 10+ in pve it grows to be more than ten in pvp due to using force slow as part of the rotation which should be used a lot. Then add in other abilities a pvp DPS should use such as our stun, interrupt, resilence, etc and we surpass 15 abilities that should be used in pvp. I realize that they are not all pure DPS abilities and a pvp rotation tends to be situational but all these abilities and others are essential to being a good pvp dps (however shadow strike is purely my choice in build). I should also note that some abilities such as mind snap are usually needed in pve also. So, sorry. You apparently don't know much about balance specced shadows. Also like the other poster noted, he was counting defensive abilities. So he actually was under the amount.
  10. Balance is not aoe as opposed to melee. It is a sustained dps tree through, when specced 31 into, three dots which are enhanced by one aoe(Force in Balance). It is a melee/ranged hybrid. Force crits enhance your melee crit chance. Project gives 10% to bonus damage. Melee hits can proc your instant and free mind crush for some upfront damage and a dot.
  11. It was just changed in the last patch to work only when force techniques force breach is on the target and you melee attack it. It has a percentage chance to proc.

    Not to argue against you. But I don't think the way someone types can measure how good they are.
  13. I believe he meant without sitting in a corner stealthed all match, not hiding to heal up. =P
