  1. Infidel was gone for about a week. He took one of them Jamaican 5 minutes.
  2. Mort, stop being a drama llama, it's embarrassing. Obviously there are people who have reservations, who have limited game time, who don't care as much about ranked as you would think even if they are hardcore PVP only players. If you think it'll take you 40 days, it took Moses 40 years, and even then he never saw the promised land... (and even then the land of Milk & Honey was all kinds of dangerous, a center for struggle of control for thousands of years). Your efforts are appreciated, but just cause you want it to happen doesn't mean that it will happen in your exact image (get the reference). If Ranked becomes a farmfest, if it is uncompetitive, if teams field only their A-teams, if the cluster-FQ that is multi-guilding continues, then Ranked may not work out. Unless players have split personalities, they will always have a hierarchy of allegiance. That's just the way it is in RL. So if someone is multi-guilding, they'll have some guild priority, and if **** hits the fan they'll revert to the guild that they are most connected to. So anyone who says that well on Republic side I'm here and Imperial side I'm here, unless it is the exact same guild (without multi-guilding), then there are loyalties. Personally, I don't understand how you can have toons in 3-4 different guilds and NOT call it a league. If you want to do 3-4 guilds for your toons, organize a league, otherwise Ranked is a cluster-FQ.
  3. Awwww, it's a cluster fq! But if it's a seeded RNG, then it's pseudo random, so then we can predict the bads who show up on our teams! Time to craft Palpatine's crystal ball of predicting bads...
  4. I can't agree with that. Was in a WZ with 4 members of Inconceivable where we double capped a Dark Empire & Watchmen double premade. Great players on both teams, but this time Republic prevailed. Can't agree with this post after the shellacking I observed (against elite-tier players). As a consistent PUGer on the Imperial side I have to say that Imperials have the same exact problem of terribad PUG players as Republic. A bad player is bad regardless of what side he's playing, I would know, I'm the King of the Bads. My advice is to do some PVE if the PVP is bad, don't get stuck in one bad place.
  5. Shout-out to all the members of the "Arash is still bad", woot woot for representing the King of the bads.
  6. Just cause Guerilla does it doesn't make it right. Everyone's got a brain and if you're as upright and nice as you seem to indicate, then you know Win Trading is bull and a bit unethical. Just cause certain members of Guerilla think that /stuck is appropriate for warzone use (or that Bioware purposefully put that command in the game for that specific purpose) doesn't make it the truth or right. You guys have a brain (or brains, hopefully more than 1), so use it (them).
  7. I found a screenshot on our forums, recent. Soz'e had 23 medals, new record. I believe that he's an Assassin tank with Dark Empire guild. http://i.imgur.com/EYH3OGg.jpg Good job!
  8. Pax can field 3-4 solid players, with another 2-3 who are improving daily. I'll talk to Infidel about it, as he's been away. I'm pretty sure myself, Sraziel, Kourv, Infidel, Harune (Kythis the uber awesome), and possibly Vestus would be interested. Plus, others who I may not have mentioned. What I think we need to do is go back to our respective guilds and come up with a list of players (who are generally solid PVPers & improving) and post it. This way we can see a census of those interested, as well as the depth of the talent pool. @Sindol Please don't sh*t on our parade.
  9. You know we'll all miss you Hex guys if you leave, even if there is a handful of you. The truth about PVP on TEH is that it won't change. Between the meta-guilds, the multi-guilding, some of our clueless piss-poor bads, and solid premades of rolling awesomeness; the PVP scene won't change. People just need to figure out what they want from this game for themselves. Some, like Sindol, want to be part of the hardcore competitive scene. Some, like myself, just want to come home and jump into some WZs (alone or with buddies) to chill out and have a good time, maybe run an Operation or take down a WB every once in a while. If you're hardcore PVP then TEH most likely isn't the home for you. At the same time, if you don't really want to find yourself in a community of inbred @ssclowns, then maybe you shouldn't transfer. I guess when you're guaranteed to be doing Ranked then you don't have to worry about the regular warzones, but is this rampant warzone dropping totally absent from Ranked? If we really do have such a high level of PVP talent, what would happen if some of our 8-man PVP teams moved to a server where it is SOP to /quit any warzone where someone makes a mistake or at the first sign that a loss is eminent. I find the thought of Game Genie breaking Ranked Warzones on another server highly amusing, perhaps if any Game Genie guild there engulfs the best PVP players from that server as well. Think about it, you got a server of the most uber competitive people who are /quitting warzones, a TON of regular PVPers who are awful, and super dominant team(s)... what you think no one will be /quitting or that no one /quits in Ranked? Or maybe it is acceptable to /quit regular warzones but they would never /quit a ranked match they KNOW they're going to lose. Those same people are gonna waste their time on a loss, or they'll keep on queueing Ranked when they know they'll be seeing their Ranked Rating drop and drop and drop. I find this all highly amusing.
  10. I like this, a true PVPer at heart. And actually, for people who are curious how others get really really good, this is very indicative. Solo queueing develops skills, especially situational and optimal defensive CD usage, that you almost can't do in a team setting. There are definite benefits to queueing solo on a regular basis, in addition to running some good solid premades. Anyways, I'm out of this thread. Don't have time to troll the threads with you guys, even though it is soooooo much fun. Again, wishing all the best to ALL players who will be leaving as well as ALL of those who will be staying. Ta Ta!
  11. Go read his quote and see how that just doesn't match up against that screenshot. Rage spec isn't broken, but going against 5 healers will give you those numbers. The other thing that gives you those numbers is being ELITE caliber player, which Atharion most certainly is. I would disagree and argue that EVERY spec requires good skills for rotations and optimal ability usage. I think that Watchman is far from useless and I've argued that Watchman is viable in RWZs before. I've played it against the best PVP players you'll find in SWTOR. That doesn't mean that the spec wouldn't benefit from a change that would make it more viable in RWZs or PVP in general. Consensus is that it lacks burst and is susceptible to cleansing. How do you do damage when GOOD players cleanse you. No one cares if you kill a scrub who is attempting to self-heal in one spot while you unload on him. When you run against good players who don't go down easy, who are situationally aware, who cleanse and have great movement skills, you run into the problem that you just can't quite finish the job. When you lose your 6 stacks of Juyo and have to spend 6 GCDS (9 seconds) restacking them, or when you lose Annihilator and your DPS pressure because you were stunned and kited, your effectiveness drops SIGNIFICANTLY. The reason why people bring up RWZs is that you generally don't find scrubs in RWZs (generally is the key term here). People are at least veterans with solid skills and know what to do and what to expect. Coordination and individual skill comes into serious play here. In non-RWZs you have people complaining about premades, but the thing about premades is that the MAJORITY of the time they are 3-4 solid or good players. You almost never see a premade of 3-4 scrubby players. Statistically, Annihilation/Watchman is not performing and has serious gaps, in its design, for COMPETITIVE play. Easy stacks of Juyo may be overkill, low CD on Annihilation may be overkill, 2% self heals may be overkill, uncleansable dots may be AWESOME and allow the specs to shine. I will welcome whatever, if any, buffs that Watchman/Annihilation get. I know a ton of players who refuse to play the spec until it gets some love, their loss, but also a loss for SWTOR.
  12. Would you not like to have uncleansable DOTs? Or how about 2% self heals back? Not everyone puts up McDonalds numbers as Watchman. I used to say the same thing, but then I saw how everyone else was performing as Watchman/Annihilation and figured that if the needed a buff and if I got one at the same time, I just can't refuse a free buff. Arash needs a buff okay, I'm a bad bad bad "********n-awful" Annihilation player! lol
  13. Can you post a screenshot of you doing these numbers? Anything close to this as Watchman? http://i.imgur.com/WhcTIaA.jpg
  14. @PoliteAssassin is a known "Master of the Annihilation". Explaining to him that Watchman/Annihilation needs adjustments is like banging your head against the wall. If Annihilation saw ANY serious changes that would make them viable for Ranked, I would **** bricks. If you're an elite PVP player and have no problem with a class or spec, it doesn't mean that the class doesn't need it. Elite players are outliers, that is why they are the 1% and the elite. A sample size of 1 elite player is useless when you have hundreds of other players who just aren't as good. Oh and btw, ALL specs can and should be oriented for both PVE and PVP. I like my Rage for PVE just as I like my Annihilation for PVE, super-deadly.
  15. I tend to only tell my own teammates GG. It isn't a GG when you absolutely destroyed the other team and tell them GG, some people have yet to catch up on that point. What is a GG for one side is total rape for the other. Game Genie was also known as Squad Six on Sanctum. Same guild, same players (mostly). When transfers happened they got other players. I was approached by Dizeren to join him, Jevy, Bay, (I think Braddock was a founder too), Matter-healer and a couple of others when they were still only forming Squad Six (which later became Game Genie). For me personally, I like the community nature of Pax Gaming, and there are other benefits besides winning WZs, that outweighed my enjoyment of PVP so I declined. One other thing Sithus. Some guilds, such as Pax, have an open recruitment policy. I'm pretty sure that none of the top-end PVP guilds such as Hex/GameGenie/Guerilla/Empire have open recruitment (don't know anything about Team One/Inconceivable). When you bleed players to rerolls and unsubs you either atrophy in the long run or you find a way to get good players. From my experience the aforementioned guilds only recruit the top-notch players. When is the last time you saw an unguilded elite player? So it follows that you HAVE TO use a poach recruitment tactic so that the player pool doesn't run dry. It is what it is.

  17. No problem at all with you, or anyone, being friends or cross-guilding. Mort was poached, plain and simple. I know that he was approached by some of the Guerilla leads after queueing with you guys. I have no problem with this. No one in Pax does. Was I or anyone else saddened by our friend's departure? Yes, of course we were saddened and disappointed. But that is a part of life and we all wear big-boy pants. All it takes is 1 player to make or break a Ranked team and their chances to win. Again, there is nothing wrong with poaching/inviting. I've talked to Sifter about applying to Pax Gaming when he confided that his guild's PVP was pretty awful and he was considering leaving for a PVP guild. Well, he left the game entirely. I might not call notifying him of 'open recruitment' as poaching, but others from his guild might. /stuck is an exploit (and therefore a cheat) if you are using it NOT AS INTENDED. I used a sports and PEDs (performance enhancing drugs) because they are considered a form of cheating. Maybe you're a fan of Barry Bonds and Mark Maguire and think that they should get to keep all of their big records, I don't. Here is the definition via Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploit_(online_gaming) You can argue that exploits are not cheats and I'll argue that the Sun revolves around the Earth, that'll get us far. Now you got me curious, please elaborate. He's gonna whip out his sexy voice. "Nadiiiiiir, come into my lair."
  18. Bah I'd love to, will see. It's either this or playing Poker and well, when the games are as soft as the ones that I've been playing, it is a hard (easy) choice indeed.
  19. I don't quite understand why so many people here waste their precious time arguing with people who don't view the world the same way. It's like arguing with radical extremists that 'what they are doing is wrong'. Some people just don't see it that way, sorry guys, different set of value systems in the RL world and in this game. I will definitely miss the Hex players, good folks, especially Jerc and his kin. I want to wish all the best to ANY players leaving The Ebon Hawk, may you guys find some good pastures w/e the guilds you belonged to here. As far as poaching, Guerilla has been poaching, that is a fact. It's not good or bad, if a player wants to leave one guild and join another, whatever their reasons, they have full rights. It is always good when they leave on positive/neutral terms. If someone invites, or poaches if you will, the ultimate decision is on the player. No one puts a gun to anyone's head forcing them to leave and join another guild. So if Guerilla says "our cookies are EXTRA crispy on the DarkSeid" then maybe they are. Once server transfers happen and our community stabilizes, we can see how 'community-oriented' our player pool is and what events, whether they be Ranked or full server parties, we can come and agree upon. So, I propose that we leave the bickering to PMs, the hatorade thread, and wait until the transfers actually do happen before we go at each other's throats. We're not here to teach anyone morals of what is right or wrong, that taking steroids is cheating, that intentionally using exploits is cheating, that some server records are forever marked by an *. Parents and families should've been teaching morals, not our place to do that. (And yes I am a self righteous ***, tyvm.)

  21. Everyone took off their clothes and the Ebon Hawk just couldn't handle the massive NSFW censorship needed to render PG toons.
  22. I will recommend checking out Pax Gaming, http://www.paxgaming.com. We have a thread in this forum as well : http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=533700 See you gameside!
