  1. Remove your AoE knockback from your bar, play 100 matches, tell me you're still having fun. If you aren't, welcome to half the other melee DPS classes in the game... and the most notable critics of Huttball.
  2. Only blaming one thing: terrible map design. Voidstar and Alderaan, you see me coming, you die. Huttball... just hit a knockback and you're fine.
  3. In Huttball, I would accept that trade in a heartbeat and laugh my *** off at how much I ripped you off.
  4. Here's an idea: get to 50, when all classes get all their knockbacks. Then, remove Force Push and all your stuns from your bar. Remove your ability to leap to an ally as well. Play 100 Huttball matches. Tell me how much fun you're still having at the end. Welcome to the Jedi Sentinel Huttball experience. For extra credit, take back one of your stuns, but remove Force Leap. Welcome to the Scoundrel Huttball experience.
  5. I enjoy Huttball on my Mercenary Alt and my Jug Alt as well. Unfortunately, they aren't my mains. For Sentinels, this map is the worst designed piece of garbage I've ever played. Show me a Sentinel who's having fun in Huttball, and I'll show you a guy who sits in the middle farming kills... because I've given up trying to make a difference doing anything else with that class. Figure, at least, I can take 1 of the enemy's players out of the game every few seconds. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me because I enjoy playing the objectives and fighting in the middle doesn't win Huttball games. Then again, trying to do objectives as a Sentinel is about the worst thing you can do for your team. Attack the Ball Carrier? Enjoy 2 seconds of DPS before you're knocked/pulled into fire/acid or simply out of the fight. Run ahead and try and get a pass? Get zerged down by respawning enemy team while the Stealther on your team decloaks in a strategic spot before the enemy can react and does what you failed miserably to do.

    Is Force Leap OP?

Inaccurate representation of said ability. Here's how it works in reality: Monkey leaps at fat guy (sorcerer obv... since he's lazy and tunnel-visioned on Camera girl). Fat guy punches the ground. Monkey falls back into his pen, only his pen is suddenly filled with fire and acid. Monkey dies. Fat guy then tells camera girl to throw him the camera. He then force sprints across the line and gets a point before monkey respawns.
  7. Agreed with most posters here. Sentinels are definately a low-tier class until you get gear and a comparatively good deal of skill (compared to most other classes). I didn't even bother trying to PvP with mine from 1-49. Once you're in mostly Champ with around 620ish Expertise, you start to see the true power of this class. Until then, just grind it out or reroll almost any other class in the game for a more pleasurable lower-geared experience.
  8. Not as important as making sure these classes are either ranged or have knockbacks/grapples. Only classes with those get to have fun. Fortunately for Bioware, that's more than half of them.
  9. Huttball, if you're a ranged class or have a knockback/pull toward, is fun. For every other class, it's the most imbalanced, poorly designed piece of crap scenario I've played since Tor Anroc.
  10. I'd return to PvP if there was a way to take Huttball off the potential Warzones to be queued in. As a melee class with zero knockbacks, this is the most tedious, unfun piece of garbage Scenario/Battleground/Warzone I've played in since Tor Anroc.
  11. Marauders/Sentinels level 1-49 = Worst class in the game by a factor. Marauders/Sentinels level 50 in Centurion or Worse = Even worse than 1-49. Marauders/Sentinels level 50 in Champ/BM = Finger of God. You can't blame anyone who doesn't get the gear for thinking the class is terrible, because it is. Most gear dependent class I've ever seen, and that's including Warriors in WoW. But, when you have the gear... holy hell, do you hurt.
  12. Combat takes too long to drop in PvP. It does give an unfair advantage to DPS classes capable of healing, if they're able to elude the battle long enough to patch themselves up for 10 seconds or so. It would be a non-issue if PvP combat ended in a reasonable time.
  13. Interesting... 80% speed buff on all members of your premade at all times... it's got potential. I could see it being very useful in Huttball though not quite sure about the other two. I'd swap one out of Closed Quarters and put another into Watchguard. I really don't think you need a 1-5 meter Force Charge in PvP. The big problem I can see is absolutely no Focus building and, yeah, it would be strict utility without any upper tier support or MS. You gotta be hitting like a kitten and pretty focus starved without Burning Focus and Jedi Crusader. As you said, it's pretty conditional. Doubt I'd roll with it even in a premade.
  14. Nice guide, though Huttball still sucks for about half the classes in the game (ones with no knockbacks-grapples). Terrible map.
  15. PvP Combat should drop in 5-6 seconds if you aren't engaged in it. Dots should also not count toward being engaged after their initial application and you should be able to meditate through them. The way they have it now is pretty dumb.
  16. State the sky is blue and the Internet... and inevitably, someone will say you're wrong, that the sky is actually Purple. If you made friends, you'd know it . Grass grows. The sky is blue. And we need dual-speccing no matter how many friends we've made.
  17. That effective health boosts isn't accurate when you factor in healing. I'll typically heal over 50-55% of my life over a fight by using passive heals + a medkit (35%). Give us each another 55% raw hit points that my Expertise defensive buff can mitigate, and your math looks a little less compelling.
  18. Gunslingers are beasts in Voidstar/Alderaan. They only suck in Huttball, where mobility is vital. Then again, almost everyone who is melee sucks in Huttball too, so you're not much better off than Scoundrels.
  19. Yeah. Pretty sure Gabe wasn't involved with DAOC, or it would be a little more known. I know his old co-worker contemporary Gerschwitz (who worked with him in WAR, then moved to Rift) was just an artist for Dark Age of Camelot and had nothing to do with balance decisions in that game. It really makes me upset I missed DAOC. Everyone says it was the peak of good PvP.
  20. Hey, we have lighter armor than you, yet are more durable... what's up now, tough guy?! Besides, we can always spec Lolsmash too if we want.
  21. Oh this was nothing. You should see my tell-all novel that's coming out in July 2012.
  22. NO! You have to *mix* it in between your keyboard turning, otherwise we'll get the wrong idea. If you START by keyboard turning, we'll assume you are like 95% of all Sorcerers out there and go into easy-mode. Then, suddenly, you EXPLODE into fancy pro-strafing and we get stuck in a logic loop: "But sorcerer = moron... but this sorcerer =/ moron. But sorcerer = moron... but ... but..." and then our brains explode and you get valor.
  23. Yeah, sounds good! Also, try to sneak some strafes in between your keyboard turns. It really throws enemy players for a loop!
  24. Try using another ability other than Lightning Strike when a Sentinel is in melee with you. It's an adjustment, but I have faith in you.
  25. Wait. You're not allowed to make sense. You're supposed to be stupid. I can have fun with stupid people. But now since you've just proven your not stupid, I have to take you seriously. I'm wearing my Wes Welker jersey right now.
