  1. First World Problems: IMMA NO CAN PLAY SWTOR WHEN OTHER PEOPLES CAN. NOT FAIR. I SUE. We live the hard knock life.
  2. My God. Some people are just freaking STUPID.
  3. If it means stability and a good play experience, delay me to the 20th. As far as I'm concerned, the $60 was yours the second preorders went up. My fault for waiting until this month. lol
  4. Forgot the words to Colors of the Wind. Had to Google them.
  5. My God. The levels of HERP and DERP in this thread are beyond measure. Seriously, nerds. Go outside. I did. It was great. I felt sun and wind and I even touched the grass. I felt like a hairy 240 pound Pocahontas.
  6. Hey, Poor sanitation, Starvation and AIDS were already taken. Find us something better to be pissed about, or its THIS. /rabble rabble early access.
  7. Epic troll is epic. I'm not in. I agree with him, but I can already hear the nerds raging in this thread without even reading beyond this.
  8. I don't know what stupidity is being showcased in this thread, but frankly, I find it Oh-Fensive.
  9. Yes, that would be a catastrophe. They won't. I certainly hope they have the technology to analyze people's levels, determine where the bulk of their EXP came from, and simply remove it - deleveling them in the process. Over the next few days, someone who is level 42, with 99.98% of his EXP gained in PvP Warfronts is probably an exploiter. Alternatively, just remove all EXP gained in a Warfront from all players who participated for the next day or two. That one isn't too bad
  10. I know people on the Internet can surprise you at their sheer level of stupidity... ... but did anyone actually cancel their pre-order because of this? lol
  11. I'd actually go number 2 on that. But I'd love to play on a server called The Fatman.
  12. Summary of this thread: OP: DRrRrRrrUuuuUUuUUpPPPpPDEeeeE DUrRRRrRRR Random Post 1: RRrRRruuuuGHhHH Random Post 2: DEY TOOKER JERB. Random Post 3: WhHhhHiiiiiiiiinnnnnee Random Post 4: You're all *********** stupid.
  13. I can feel your anger. It gives you strength. It gives you focus.
  14. If I ran an MMO Forum, rampant negativity would be squashed immediately, for the exact reason OP said. The negative feedback loop cannot be avoided or stopped. It can only be crushed with extreme prejudice. I agree, mass closing threads is a bad idea. Outright deleting them and IP banning left and right with abandon, privately and with no announcement, is the best way to go. You can't scream and whine when you're dead without warning. Forums should not be run like a democracy. They should be run like Darth Vader's Empire. My first priority as a CM would be making sure I had the ability to ban someone with a single click. Also, unless there's an active account attached to game, you no get to post. * Ranting, nonconstructive threads about a game should be deleted and the poster banned for 1 week, first offense. Repeat offense within one month = Permaban. * "I quit" posts immediately result in a permanent ban from the forums. You quit, so here's the door. Permaban. * Constructive, well-thought out threads about the game should be immediately deleted, but a copy forwarded onto the feedback team along with a PM sent to the poster thanking them. Anyone who reposts, 1 week ban. Peramban on second offense in a month. * Anyone commenting on my draconian forum moderation would be IP banned permanently. First offense, Permaban. * No appeals. Not worth wasting my time. If you posted something that made my ban finger twitch the wrong way, it was close enough. Bioware, please listen to OP and FLATTEN this negativity. You gain nothing from it.
  15. I'll even sweeten the pot by adding that hillbilly chick who tried to convince the world Justin Bieber was the daddy.
  16. I offer: 1. Rosie O'Donnell 2. Jabba the Hutt 3. Stephen Reid himself. What would you offer?
  17. "Up to 5 days early." What part of that wasn't clear? It's still 7 days to launch, FFS. EDIT: Ironically, anyone who gets in on the 13th and 14th DID receive a gift, most likely, as at the time they placed the order, they expected to play 5 days early, not 7.
  18. Let's not get overly dramatic here. The only "snowball" that's coming Bioware's way is the massive cash revenue they're going to make. While I'd like to know, by noon, I'll probably give up and go play Skyrim or something for a few more days until they get this sorted out.
  19. For me: Best: The Fatman. Worst: Darth Revan's Mask. Go.
  20. Oh, I'm being very patient. All I said was I'm a little annoyed that I don't know the plan. I don't necessarily care if I'm in Early Access 3 days from now or 3 hours from now. For example, in Cataclysm, I knew the exact day I was playing about 3 months in advance, so I scheduled a few vacation days from work around it. This will be the first MMO I've ever played that, well, I don't know when I'm going to play within a week of launch. Am I any less enthusiastic about the game? Hell no. Is it an annoyance? Yes. I don't care if I'm stuck out until even the 20th... just let me know the plan.
  21. Can you please shoot us *all* E-Mails today, letting us know when we can play? I don't care if its tomorrow or the 19th, but I really want to at least know when I'm playing.
  22. I'm a little annoyed that the Early Access E-Mail at least telling me when I can play isn't sitting in my E-Mail right now. Even if that play time is, like, the 18th or 19th... I still would like to know today so I can make plans.
  23. Hey all, It's sad, because these forums were such a positive place when the trolls didn't have any foundation to complain about. Of course, now that the game is revealed not to be the cure for their lives, the people decide to type out their own bowel movements, and the end result is a forum as utterly depressing and as negative as this one has become. Now that it's go time for the Old Republic, I am officially retiring from these forums. Once a game has launched, my experience is the forum becomes a cesspool of negativity. You hang around them long enough, eventually, it rubs off on you. Obviously, this game started early - the negativity has been rampant for a few weeks, but you are able to block out most of it as people only have a beta test to go by. Now, as people begin to play, it's only going to get worse as the vocal minority play for a few hours, find the game doesn't fix all the numerous problems in their lives, and rush to the boards to whine about it. They whine because they can't faceroll their way through leveling. They whine because their Sith Marauder can't take out 3 guys at once. They whine because this game reminds them of whatever game they just finished trolling the boards of. They whine because that's all they know how to do. To those who remain fans through the Dire Revelation, that this game doesn't cure diseases, reformat their lives and isn't going to shatter reality itself: Great reading your posts. I look forward to playing with you in game. To the rest of you: Go back to WoW, Runescape or whatever other cesspit you crawled out of.
