  1. Thats a client side problem. I also got the problem when i play on a below average pc or a sucky internet connection.
  2. I dont know if there is a new one coming up, only to maximize effect of these server merging it would be a great idea to host another holiday weekend for new/returning players. Also the ability to move characters which are on inactive accounts should really help aswell. Unless ofc you are already planning a free to play weekend then this post doesnt really matter.
  3. The player base has reduced a little since the release and most servers are dead as dead can be, however they are "fixing" that by merging servers to increase the population per server. This could make the game more fun for the people that play the game, only probably wont let players that left come back to play the game. There is simply to much competition of other newly released games. Best way to maximize effect from this merging of servers is by giving a week or so perhapse a few days of free play time for all account. Also for the frozen accounts, this way the players that left can check the game again and see how the population has increased and enjoy the game again. If they dont then this merging of servers would only help the current players on empty servers, the players that are on busy servers and are in raiding guilds wouldnt really notice much difference.
  4. Let me translate this. "Hi im a Wotlk wow player and i started playing wow when the gear had rating on it and rating on gear is all that matters. It has nothing to do with what stats you buff or how you play your class, nope all that matters is rating. Also i seem to forget on how people simply exploited the rating system in wow" There translated it for you.
  5. Just because you as a carebear want to have chat bubbles doesnt make it a basic part of a mmo. Chat bubbles arent needed atm and give no extra value to gameplay or immersion to the game therefor they arent a priority.
  6. The server population problems are going to be fixed on a short term, not really worth mentioning that in a long term ( 1 year ) presentation video.
  7. The level cap increase is probably done to fix some balance issues, bit like wow-tbc changed the stats and pvp gameplay. Also since the new planet probably gives new class quests so a level cap increase makes sence there.

    Anger on hoth

how cute, the little carebear went on a pvp server and doesnt like to be killed. Go reroll to a pve server if you cant handle it.
  9. 18:26 isnt really peaktime yet. About an hour or so later the peak time really starts.
  10. Make a alt if you want that, leveling doesnt take that long.
  11. I already posted about the imperial/republic fleet months ago about how it basicly ruined world pvp. Also didnt do any justice to the world scenery in the game by adding those fleets, however at the time the only thing that replied to it were a bunch of trolls.
  12. Forgot to make those , i have to admit though The world pvp was more or less ganking low levels to wake up some lvl 50's Being alone ofc and some low levels + a lvl 50 which outgeared me it didnt go to well after that.
  13. Took me 5 min. to get into a world pvp fight ^^ See , world pvp is not dead
  14. Where did i post i had a 10k machine? seriously... Is reading really that *********** difficult ?
  15. Who said anything about pro gaming? And how do you know if im not sponsored in a other game?
  16. Yeah suppose if you are used to gaming with 486 then indeed gaming with current computers is a bit different Same thing applies to RTS gamers in the 90's and compare them to RTS gamers now. Just to be clear though , i dont have any of those 5fps issues only got those in Ilum. However due to obvious reasons i cant test my fps there anymore ....
  17. That whole post shows you never really gamed at a high level. Just did another test in a warzone (huttbal) fps was between 30 and 40fps with AA off and shadows off and character detail on low. Basicly the sucky graphics we had at the start. The strange thing is the drop in CPU+GPU usage during the game where at 110fps in imperial fleet the gpu+cpu are just working fine at around 80 and 50%. So something is basicly causing a bottleneck. I already tried a install on a different HD that didnt work so thats not causing a bottleneck either. The cpu and gpu arent bottlenecking either so then there is only memory left, however at 1333mhz i doubt this is causing a bottleneck. So then there is notning else left then to come to the conclusion that the engine of the game isnt optimized enough for the nvidia drivers. Probably because the game is dead and nvidia isnt really going to change much about their drivers for a dead game.
  18. Even if i had it turned on , do you really think you get a min. of around 30 fps increase of it? No you dont , so its pointless to even ask that. Do you also even know what vsync does ? i suppose you dont. Anyway this is going way offtopic , the question still isnt been answered.
  19. They basicly become to low when you reach a certain amount of skill in gaming, there is a reason why most games on consols have a min. of 60fps. Simply because 30 fps is to low for serious gaming, its fine for casual gamers though.
  20. And then you run into players and the combat starts...
  21. Just to feed the little wanabee IT noob here are my system specs. Phenom x6 1090T @ 3.6ghz 8gb 1333mhz ddr3 GTX 560gti Installed it on a SSD Samsung 830 series 128GB 870A Fuzion Power Edition So thats about the basic specs of my system with all drivers and everything up to date. So what is causing the bottleneck ? or is this system not strong enough to run the game in pvp on min. settings? And just before you start bull******* about how i should "clean up " my pc that wont work either. Its installed on a SSD for that reason. Btw the vid. card basicly runs at 5% in ilum when players were still there and my cpu was half asleep at 5fps in a 20vs20 ish combat. So something is causing the bottleneck, i ruled out the HD and basicly can rule out the memory aswell. So then there is nothing else left but the game itself , because with a 100mbit fiber connection it cant really be the connection either.
  22. So that would be a 10.000 euro's computer then ? because thats what you need to basicly be a upgrade to my current computer.
  23. Reading difficult for you ? I already posted that i already tried everything i can try to increase the fps in this game in a warzone.
  24. Then you are probably a casual gamer that thinks 30fps in a warzone is enough and/or probably doesnt notice it. However serious compettitive gamers need at least 60fps as a min. to have succes in a game.
  25. You really think that i have done nothing to increase my fps in a game like this? Several things i have done , installed it on a SSD ( didnt help ) Lower the graphics to absolute minimum ( even the resolution ) didnt help either. All drivers are up to date. Also tried running it in a different windows mode. In the game in imperial fleet ( not very busy there anymore ) i get more then 100fps on maxium settings even with AA and everything at max. Yet you walk into a warzone it drops to 20fps as soon as you start combat with AA - shadows disabled and settings like character detail to low. However when you wait for the warzone to start for example aderaan you basicly have 100+fps. And no i pretty much stated that there is no need for me to post my specs because there is basicly no one on this forum who can help me increase my fps by around 80fps which would make the game playable. The only thing i was asking is when the developer is going to fix. However seeing as there hasnt been a single driver update for both AMD and Nvidia that was made for SWTOR i doubt they are ever going to fix it. Oh and this game is pretty much going the way i said it would go, i already said that if they dont fix these keyissues in the next 3 months after release then the game is basicly doomed to fail.
