  1. I dont think its really that. If you make a 2000 letter post on critisism of the game they will not delete the post. If you just write down a rant on how much everything sucks and how bored you are and how much people can go to... the dark side... etc they will lock it. Go ahead, make a huge post in a new thread about every negative aspect of the game, why you think its negative, and what it can be done to improve said issue. I bet they will not lock the thread.
  2. Arguments... I sounded like Georuge Bush there.. Thanks.
  3. Valid opinion. But dont you think alot of people would agree if you had some arguments on why?
  4. Hi there. I accidentaly dropped by these forums since I try to spend my time playing this game instead of typing about it all the time. I am what many of you will call a fanboy or a biodrone, and Ive read around a bit and I honestly think that some people has lost the concept when they bash the game. I plan to post why I think the game is awesome, not only because of self rightouesness but also because I know it annoys those who dislike the game who even though they dislike the game and everyone in it, they cant seem to stop play or writing about it in this very forum. I will try to be constructive so it will not be rightfully locked. I dont expect this thread to be a long thread because its a positive one, that goes without saying. Ive played since beta and so far of all others mmos including wow for 7 years this is the most polished mmo in my opion. It sure was alot of bugs and annoying this during beta but I think bioware have done great on fixing things and we are seeing fixes at very fast rate. I actually think this game is so fun that I dislike the fact that I cant decide on what character I want to get to 50 first. I want to see all the storylines and know about all the companions. I want to do see the content with all the characters and I plan to have massive legacy with so much presense on my companions that I can damn solo Lost Island. On my main (sage) Ive cleraed Explosive Conflict on Hardmode and it was cheer all over the mumble server when we finally got it down. I didnt have that feeling in wow for some time when we downed bosses there. So I feel its somewhat nicely balanced on difficulty (for our guild at least). There is basically so much I like about the game from graphics to feel of combat and the crafting system that I think it will be a very good mmo that people with the right attitude for gaming (the normal one) will enjoy it alot for many many years. What I really cant phathom is that some people seem to have expections of this game that no mmo will ever be able to live up to. They ask for a complete mmo on launch. "They released it too early so it was incomplete" many say. May questions is the following: Has there ever been released a complete mmo? Wouldnt WOW be more complete if it was released 5 years ago instead of 7? Another issue for me is that people say "Oh this warzone is boring and I lost a commendation and before that I had lag in voidstar! I am unsubbing untill they fix!" Well in what other game would you follow the same logic? If people would have the same reasons for unsubbing in WOW, no one would play the game. There has been frustrations for me as well. In the beginning there was green laser lines on the screen when playing on tatooine and taris, small bugs everywhere and many features that was missing. Unable to scale the UI, and mission windows poping up during combat. Gathering nodes that was unusable, 2% chance to proc recipe on reverse engineering, performance issues, bugged encounters (soa), bugged class quests, and much much more that now belongs to the dustbin of history. There are still lots of things that I want to see in this game. Like dual/multispecc, more populated servers so I can actually do flashpoint daily/weekly quests, a LFG tool for flashpoints and normal mode operations, a post creation character customization feature, evolvement of the space combat feature, better class balancing, more content, more legacy stuff. All the said things I am waiting for have been said to be expected in the near future so I am not worried. I would share many peoples reasons for unsubbing this game if bioware said for example "No we hate populated servers! We are not adressing population issues! Go home!" But hey have not, they have said they wanted to fix things. So I trust them since they fixed every single other issue that annoyed me in the past. So instead of sitting there with the hands in your lap, yelling to the computer "Bioware! Enjoy me!" Then start playing the game with realistic expectations, if you are bored, do something else. If not, have fun
  5. You can go on and on yes. But it will mostly be vague opinions as long as you dont offer any proper argument for your opinions. So far developers in this game I feel has a lot more communication with the public than other mmos, I may be wrong feel free to prove me wrong. What in the horizon of that is coming do you not like? What do you like that that is not comming. What is unbalanced in PVE and PVP? (I know there is unbalance like all other mmos). I agree stuff isnt perfect about this game but get real please.
  6. I disagree on what alot of things you say. And I think many things is subjective on how people look at the game. I see the game is very well compared to other mmos. It is still the best mmo release in history. And no I dont think it will ever have 10 million subscribers like WOW has. No matter how the game would be or how perfect it would be there will always be people trolling the forums about it being dead and whatnot. People saying wow is dead for years allready and it has 7 million subscribers. I love the graphics of the game and also alot of the animations and lightsaber animations is a huge thing for me. And Ive not been disappointed with it at all so far. The graphics continue to impress, especially on newer items. I felt this mmo was the most polished and "complete" mmo that Ive ever played. It had the smoothest launch of them all. Alot of the problems that was quite obvious in the beginning was fixed and are no longer in the game. I think Bioware is doing really good at the moment. They are not stupid, they know what they are doing.
  7. I agree it has to happens fast. But this feature is something you dont want bugs in. So its better that it comes in 1 month and works as intended instead of 2 weeks and people loose their characters when transfering due to a bug.
  8. This is from a fanboy. Yes I am a fanboy since I liked all bioware games, I like mmos, I like Star Wars and I think this game is very entertaining and I am having loads of fun with it. I guess that qualifies as a fanboy: Why are you bothering about playing a game or even sitting of the games forums while you not only dislike the game but you dislike the people who think the game is good? It sounds like a intolerable position to be in. Isnt it better to pick a mmo where everybody agrees with you or perhaps where everybody hates the game and absolutely no one likes it? I have problems understanding the concept, can you enlighten me?
  9. He is not telling people to delete their main characters and reinstall the game and make a new account to start all over. He is just saying that if you done what you can do on your main and cant do more because of the lack of people there is basically 7 other storylines of content to explore if you are interested.
  10. 1.7 million subscribers qualifies it for a MM in MMORPG. Problem is that the population is scattered among too many servers. And there is currently no tool to connect people togehter. In that other game (WOW) I logged in on my server which I used to play on and went to a level up zone (Barrens) and it was 17 people there 25 minutes ago. I go to taris on my smuggler on and its 21 people there. But in that other game it doesnt really matter, you can just spam the LFG tool. Said issues about this game is being fixed. Problem is that people cant wait because they dont know how to entertain themselves in a mmo if not everything is falling automatically in their lap.
  11. What you are saying here is fundamentally wrong. 70% of all the threads here are long and been here forever about negative stuffs about the game. Even this thread is a proof enough of it. I once made a thread where I attacked all the whiners who expect things from this game no mmo will ever be able to deliver. And that thread got closed as well. So you are also protected by the moderaters from "negative" input. This forums has is full of people who hate the game and wants everybody to know about it, while the majority who love the game are playing it, instead of sitting and crying on the forums.
  12. Kinda a stupid argument. If you see a reason to uninstall a game just because of low population servers, there is no reason to play any mmo. There is still millions of things you can do in the game before the transfer feature is up.
  13. But it sure is guardian tanks out there who does good, there must be something what they do, what I am missing.
  14. So I am letting into my guilds weekend runs with my alt guadian tank into hardmode EV and KP. I am finding having issues with aggro. I heard some times ago that its common to struggle with it so I focused hard to train with at leveling went on. Even so when I do Lost Island or operations I find myself loosing aggro even though I believe I do everything right. This is what usually happens. I throw saber throw and Force Leap, and uses concentration to get full focus. I land at the mob and use guardian strike then hilt stirke, then blade storm, I then taunt and start using the somewhat obvious rotation/priority list aftre that. What I keep taunt off cd at all times then I use aoe taunt if I loose aggro, which I almost always do. Even after said rotation after the taunt is over I loose aggro to even a guarded target. Then I use aoe taunt ofc, when that is over I loose aggro again. I have half rakata items and rest columni/tioneese, and still dpsers that are somewhat a bit better geared than me have no problems pulling aggro from me. On longer bossfights I have easier time holding aggro. I usually struggle with aggro and having a hell holding it the first 30 seconds of a fight but after that its usually easier. Ive tanked alot in that "other game" so I am no brainless when it comes to tanking either. Is it actually just me (most likely) or is actually guardians the tanking class that is having generally the most issues. My friend which is often dpsing on his vanguard with me while I tanking takes aggro from me almost all the time and he says making threat both on single targets and aoe threat is alot easier on his vanguard then his impression of the guardian. Please help. I need tips and hints. Maybe I am missing something important (yes Soresu form is on btw).
  15. No MMO in history have ever or will ever be launched complete.
  16. I often get alot of schematics as a Synthweaver that I dont see how anyone could find any value in. Before 1.2 I got many many schematics in Karaggas Palace Nightmare mode (which drops 140 rating items) which made it possible for me to craft 126 and 136 items. These items was 95% of the time also bind on pickup. Why would I ever want to craft a 136 item which only I can use with alot of materials when I can just wait to get the 140 rating item from a boss in the same instance. Alot of the items I couldnt even use as they were medium or heavy and I as Sage only could use light armor. Another thing is that I sometimes get recipes out of crew skill missions with orange custom items. Why would I ever want to craft an orange custom item chestpiece that looks like a level 15 item, then spend money on mods or extract them from my current gear which will cost me 300k to look less cool? If you want to have customable items the items should look unique since looks is the only reason to use a custom item unless it has an augment slot. Another suggestion I have (which I think is awesome) Is daily crafting quests. Lets say you get a quest where you have to make some items like 3-4 blue items or 1 or 2 purple ones for some NPC with some story around it. You craft these items then deliver them to a location and you get credits or commendations back. Credit rewards must ofc be higher then it costs to craft the items. The items required for completing this quest could be items that usually doenst go well to sell on the GTN, like lower level items that level 50 crafter usually never makes.
  17. Nothing is killing SWTOR. The one thing that could kill it is the community. As many others I played that other game and I left it because of the community, whiners who never get satisfied about anything really annoyed me alot about that game. "OMG I CANNOT ONE SHOT CLOTHIES NO MORE! BUFF ME OR I WILL UNSUB LOLS!" SWTOR has 1.7 million subsribers which is quite alot in mmo terms. They are spread among too many servers atm because people didnt want to stand 10 minutes in queue during launch day. So Bioware added more servers. This is going to be fixed. Any mmo will always have alot of people trying out the game in the beginning. They it will drop down to a lower lever. Some people have waited for this game for years and will stick with it. A common issue for many people is that when a new game is coming out, is that people have expectations of the game that no game ever will be able to live up to, and they are mad when a game doesnt meet those demands. If they were to judge "that other game" by the same standards the stupidity would be even more obvious. Ive played through the endgame bugs in the operations. For example all the tedious bugs on Soa, and also now on hardmode Kephess. Its annoying as hell. But if you judge a game solely on bugs like this you lack complete oversight. If someone where to use this standard for any game there is no reason to play any game. There will be issues in all mmos and developers of all games will always adress them. Another thing I dont really understand why people say there is no fun stuff to do at level 50 in this game. There is absolutely no other mmo game that has more content at level 50 then this game. Its almost the same as the argument about new content every 2nd month. It has never been done in any mmo and its totally unrealistic.
  18. There is ****loads of stuff to do as PVE. Just take some effort into getting into a PVE guild, we clear all the content on mains and alts during the week. There is also like 8 different story lines to experience. The argument that there is nothing to do is only proven by people who dont take any effort into doing anything.
  19. I would like to be able to: ...increase the height and width of the healthbars and powerbars, ...remove the portraits ...choose to have certain parts of the UI to fade out and to come back with full opacity if I mouse-over them. ...track my debuffs on targets. ...track procs from abilities on myself ...adjust the size of buff and debuff icons (especially within the raid frames). ...to do a ready check ...to have companions as part of the party and raid frames. (maybe with another healthbar color). ...to see introduced class colors and ability to have healthbars in raids to show as class color. ...adjust the castbars
  20. Ok. Thanks for answer. I really hope you are right. There is no reason for me to continue playing on characters that I will never be able to get within my legacy. I am quite OCD about stuff like that. Anyone else has replies about this issue?
  21. I am glad you unsubscribed, but why are you still writing on forums of a game you dislike. When it comes to PVP you complain about waiting for the thing to pop up. Tell me a mmo where its different, where you do not queue up for a battleground related thing and enter it. Its a commonly used model for pvp, for a reason. By following your standards every mmo, or even game for that matter is total crap and there is even no reasons to play computer games at all. Get real.
  22. Game is not dying with 1.7 players. The issue its 100 servers and people are too scattered.
  23. This sounds like a very heavy populated server. On my server Basilisk Droid there is 40 people on republic fleet on prime time. And 5-10 except that. I dont think anyone done a flashpoint in weeks. I have been trying to do one for weeks at least with no success. Cant wait for server transfers.
  24. 1. When there is server merge, will there be a possibility to transfer as paid service characters from US servers to EU server or vice verse.
