  1. My Sniper uses the Athiss Sniper Rifle. Sniper to fit the name should after 10 seconds of no activity go stealthed. They use an ability, they activate a skill it breaks. Gunslinger's would enter a box (like Solid snake!) that would match the terrain. Example like like those cargo boxes in Voidstar and the same situation as a Sniper.
  2. Barrel changes to the difference between a blaster rifle and a sniper rifle. I've done it before with my armstech making the same barrel that was dropped in an fp.
  3. Here are my suggestions to help. 1. When Barrage procs Full auto/Unload cannot be interrupted. 2. Powershot/Charged bolts apply Heat Signature/Gravity vortex on target. In the event TM or Grav round are interrupted (which will happen) you have an alternative. But none of the other buffs that TM or Grav Round will apply. 3. Move down the Shield Talent which makes a Merc/Commando uninterrupted so all Mercs/Comm can get it. 4. Give Setup time of 1.5 seconds to set yourself into position. Call it "Defensive Line" for Commandos and "Setting in" for Mercs. Now while you have this buff up, you cannot be leaped to, knock backed, Reduced chance of being interrupted, so all interrupts would be at 50% chance of fail. But to get out of this new thing, you have to wait 2 global cooldowns to unset your position.
  4. I just don't care for the new overload animation. The Consular variant is a nice visual since it looks like a giant force push. Inquisitor its like I'm hop skipping to death.
  5. trooper just plays out like a military action story. Every class story has an over arching theme. Males get the better flirt options usually because Bioware was never good at the female storyline. Case in point, Female Hawke, or Female hero in Dragon Age Origins.
  6. Amusingly, the Male trooper is voiced by the guy who does Captain America in the Ultimates Cartoons.
  7. The Watchmen have a good Guardian build, gear assessment. I'm curious what I should be looking as a Shieldtech Power tech. Currently hit 50. Bought the Warhero Supercommando mainhand, battlemaster supercommando helmet and boots. The rest Recruit Gear Mk 2. What's a good progression to get done?
  8. Or Sorc slams his fist into the ground and it produces a cone effect like the trooper Pulse Canon with purple lightning
  9. Sage/Sorceror, Commando/Mercenary should have a talent or something added onto their talent tree to make their stun (cyro grenade and electrocute) back to their original 30 meters. I can only imagine now a commando hitting his cyro grenade with his assault cannon like a baseball to gain the extra distance.
  10. And the other use for IM was to prevent false procs of the the Prototype rail shot.
  11. I have a few questions as well: 1. Is the battlemaster set bonus tied to the shell or the armoring? 2. Just hit 50 with my Powertech Shield spec with 3500 Ranked and 2000 warzone comms. I'm planning on holding off till after tomorrow so I can get the Mainhand weapon for only 2k Ranked now. What's next I should buy? As much battlemaster I can get or something else? 3. Should I switch to Pyro tech to be more effective in 50 PVP or just stick with Shield Tech, which would dictate if I get the Recruit Mk2 Eliminator or Supercommando set?
  12. if it's the free standing one you shouldn't be able. If you've rolled into a cover spot then do entrench, the knock back immunity doesn't work. It's been noted up before.
  13. Only thing I'd suggest to be more "sniper" ish is that if you settle into cover (the free standing one not behind objects) and you don't move for say 5-6 global cool downs worth you turn invis. The moment you start to use any ability the invisibility breaks. For Gunslingers they could enter an crate or object and then pop out the moment they start an attack in cover. Or if there is no object a suitable environment object.
  14. The key to survival as a merc/Commando really is to manage your defensive cooldowns as they are and DO NOT CHASE. I haven't recall the amount of times I force a merc/commando to chase me to only result in his/her death. You are not a chaser, you are a defender of a position/area. Let your melee, powertech brothers unleash their onslaught with your sniper/gunslinger brethren as back up. If you're arsenal, watch your procs, don't just stand there doing grav round/tracer missile, fire one maybe 2 and keep moving. Forces the pug and the occasional experienced player stop what they're doing and find you. God help them if they're a keyboard turner.
  15. well it helped he was at 50% and kept on going so I felt it was okay to wait the extra 2 cool downs. Just for the Jump spinning slash click on node.
  16. I have multiple Inheritance weapons. But I have almost a full set of birthright gear, just not the weapon. I've noticed i got them more off Treasure hunting missions, specifically the ones you get from slicing. Then underworld trading, diplomacy and Investigation. The armor ones range from level 14-16 and they're all high end purple gear.
  17. Best moment for a ninja cap was I was on my lvl 34 shadow and I stealthed over to snow and saw only a sith sorceror atop the turret using sacrifice for heal medals. He hit below 30, I jump up execute and cap the node before help arrives. I was laughing so hard.
  18. I wouldn't mind seeing a "Lockdown" or "Holding position!" ability. Basically a Commando/Merc would lock themselves in the spot, can't be interrupted can't be moved from that spot and can't be leaped/jetcharged to (including guardian/juggernauts friendly leap). Takes a cooldown to setup, and a cool down to disengage. Everything else is normal, so it's similar to the entrench ability snipers/gunslingers have but can't move from position to position easily. And reinforces the "turret" capability and gives them the capacity to do so. I can imagine the commando dropping to one knee as he props his assault cannon on top a shield. And a Merc having grappling hooks extend from his jet pack to the ground locking him in place.
  19. At the last part of Correlia myself. The entire theme of the SI storyline is the Rise of your character. It's all about Your rise to power and what you did to achieve your ultimate goals. I enjoyed it with the really fun conversational choices. (Could do without the constant Murder and Mayhem await). To me it feels like these are the following themes: Knight = Star Wars Movie (kicking sith lords and saving the galaxy) Trooper = Action Movie (hell the opening prologue is like the backstory flash back during almost every military themed action movie) Smuggler = Indiana Jones meets Han Solo. (which i'm slightly sad by) Consular = Star Wars Wikipedia on Force (great for lore geeks) Warrior = Power and the rise to Glory SI = Different sort of Power and the rise of oneself instead of the Empire as a whole. Agent = See how the empire works under the rule of the Sith. Bounty Hunter = Man for Hire in a world of evil. Professionalism or Murder.
  20. There is one reason to use Powershot/Charged bolts instead of tracer/grav. The Shadow/Assassin ability that blocks all tech damage. It's not always but it's nice to have a fall back. In the current age of PVP, sometimes it's best to get your damage out fast instead of the most optimal setup. It's all situational for the most part. I only did 2 grav rounds to a target it's almost dead, might as well use demolition round/hib to finish it off and move on. If you have time and the opponent is stupid, sure go the most optimal/max damage possible. Otherwise mixing it up, changing things around using procs when feasible. It's all about adapting more so with Commando/mercs.
  21. i think the highest expertise enhancement is 25 expertise? And you can only put it on head, body, gloves, legs, boots, and weapon so that's 150. Waste of time really, you'll have less endurance since the Enhancement is i think at level 46 and that's 900 wz comms now. So more or less pointless. And there's only one reason to get warzone weapons. If the design of the weapon is preferable to others. Like the Jedi Battlelord one looks nice with the Glowing blue crystal at the bottom of the hilt. Or the level 34 assault cannon that sounds like an actual cannon when doing hammer shots or full auto.
  22. Looks really interesting. Not sure how i feel about the overload/force wave being a cone in front of you instead of around you. And the change to the knock back from stockstrike/rocket punch as a commando/merc from the talent to now being an immobilize. Unless Concussive Grenade/Jet boost does no damage so you can hit a target with stock strike/rocket punch and then knock them back so they can't move.
  23. Let's say you have a smuggler gunslinger. You finish Chapter 2 and unlock the Smuggler buff to your legacy alts. And let's say you finish up a few character quests so they're unlocked in your legacy. If you delete the character do those things still remain unlocked?
  24. Thanks for the responses. Any suggestions what to buy first with maxed comms once I hit 50? Weapon? Armor? Implants?
  25. Almost have full max Warzone and Ranked Warzone Comms on my 49 Shield Tech Powertech. From what I've seen on the forums Shield Tech is worthless in Ranked/Regular Warzones at 50. I've loved it from 40-49 once Pyrotech got boring for me. Is PyroTech the only means I'll be useful at 50? If so what should I buy first? WH Weapon? If shieldtech works and people enjoy it at 50 what should I buy then?
