I LOVE my shoot first with the knockdown! even better now with flechette round at 40. The hardest thing for me to remember in pvp once my target is killed is to not fire off a grenade at the closest enemy. Instead I stealth real quick and first shot again with flechette round. I love my scrapper!

I played a gliched civil war earlier today that our group won but no scoreboard came up leaving us to battle for however long we wanted. Only one imp stayed to mess around after, but what a blast just running around the relatively empty wz just chatting and, that's right, the group naked dance....ladies included. Waste of time but a fun shared experience.

I agree that chat off may be extreme. It's an unfortunate truth about online gaming which to me sounds like an excuse making it alright to be cruel to others. I'm a grown man and i truly can take it but it just makes me sick how mean people are.

that's true and that's why I put the question out there. Anti-social I am not, but I also don't like seeing all the name calling and verbal abuse towards others. I will just ignore it. I usually respond woh "be nice" or "that wasn't very nice", but that is usually met with "FU".

With my recent frustration with all the name calling and rants in PUG wz's, I am considering just turning the Ops channel chat off. While communication is important, wz's are not that hard to figure out. Does anyone else do this?

I am so tired of joining a PUG WZ and the second something goes wrong someone shouts "WTH you *******!!!!", "YOU GUYS ARE F'ING IDIOTS!!!!". Really? I'm an idiot, a retard, a well established emergency physician who just brought 2 people back to life yesterday at work alone, An idiot, a retard, I guess I must accept this fact. The feeling I have when I play with PUGS is nauseating but that's all I can get into with my schedule. I am so tired of seeing people yell at others in this game. There is so much disrespect. Maybe I just take it too personally, but I hate how people treat each other. IT'S A GAME. GROW UP.

WoWsers! For some reason my email notification wasn't working :-) I didn't realize there were so many responses and I would like to thank everyone for their kind responses. I do seem to agree with the carrot theory and looking at it that way it seems like such a job unfortunately. I feel I may have to change my outlook on what I am trying to gain or take from the game as enjoyment. Up until recently I thought I was enjoying earning the best gear a pug player could get, but even that playstyle is not sustaining my interest. I do feel it has a lot to do with the genre and the idea that I have to pay more to play more. I guess it's getting hard to play knowing that I really am just being manipulated to keep my subscription up with the endless battle to obtain the carrot as the genre plays off of my addiction ( no different than a drug dealer). time to reassess :-)

Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy wz pvp, but I think I am really starting to see and feel the redundancy in it. I have never really been involved with large scale open world pvp (I know swtor doesn't really have that yet) but I am certain I would enjoy it (only not as a healer:) talk about no chance of survival being caught alone). I think my future with this game may lie with grinding WH gear on a pvp server and seeking out open world on the unsuspecting (at least that is different and fun).

Why am I incessantly running my bounty hunter bodyguard around, day in and day out, trying to gear him up with war hero gear. The grind to me is beginning to not make sense. I am spending countless hours in warzones, which I do enjoy, grinding away at commendations, and for what? I don't really see a light at the end of the tunnel. All I see is more pvp. Nothing to grind towards. You work so hard to get to the top, or at least close to it, just to..... Wait for it.....PVP In the same warzones. It's sad but when fully geared nothing really changes... Oh yeah, I got some better stats. I understand that there is a fun factor. I guess I am just losing the point of it all. Maybe I could use a reminder, or maybe this is just the reality of MMO's in general regardless of which one. Honestly I just bought guild wars 2 the other day and have begun to second guess even that one. while the mechanics may be different, especially from a pvp standpoint, I fear that too will be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Maybe I'm just getting a little bit old for this genre. I don't seem to be enjoying the time sink anymore. Thoughts?

Yeah, I figured as much, but for some reason tonight it just really bothered me. This is just a game and people get so competitive and worked up over the most trivial things.

I have come here to vent just a little bit. I just played two wz's in a row on the Fatman and both times, when we lost a node, or something wasn't going as planned, someone in the ops group shouted something about us all being a bunch of "GD MF *******". With that I ALWAYS write back something like "that's not really nice" both times I got "****!". REALLY!!! is this how the SW community is? I can't get over the amount of disrespect in warzones and on general chat. It boggles my mind that people (most likely kids who need an outlet) can just be rude like that. I've got thick skin, but it really bothers me when people name call just for playing a game. It is JUST A GAME!!!

I am currently a level 33 Scoundrel working on a scrapper build. With so many options out there, I am really unsure what is viable now. My focus end game is PVP and I am on a PVP server as well so I am trying to figure out do I need to go straight DPS build, or what is the benefit of these hybrid builds? Will a hybrid really give me the best of both worlds? If you have a link to your build that would be awesome too!!!! thanks!

I could use a little help with my scoundrel. I currently have a level 32 scoundrel scrapper. I also have a level 50 merc that I am currently healing with but use to run as pyro. With the pyro tree, I use to get a proc (excuse me for not knowing the name) that would show an animation that would tell me that I could fire my rail shot again because it instantly finished the cool down. Is there a similar animation that I should be looking for with my scoundrel? I know that I can get "upper hand" but, besides the little buff icon, is there any other indicator? Is this the only proc my scoundrel has? thanks in advance.

Well said. I guess I'm not really going after lowbies per se, since I really am only 32, but who knows how I feel about it at 50. By then maybe we will have that dedicated new planet:) I agree with the respect thing and not camping people but more of a, look out, other faction sneaking around, watch your *****.

I was just wondering because I couldn't believe how fun it was....for me:) what I mean by that is, regardless of the level I was stalking, I couldn't believe the excitement I had just stealthing and waiting, and hunting. Looking over my shoulder knowing I was in the other faction's territory was exhilarating. At one point even finding myself having to hide from a 50 that was lurking. It really was fun and more exciting then the known battles I would have in a warzone. Don't get me wrong, I love warzones, but battling unexpectedly really feels more authentic.

Let me start by saying that I am not trying to be a jerk about things, and I am posing this question in complete sincerity, but why is it frowned open to gank lowbies on a pvp server? I find it a lot of fun to sneak my level 32 Toon around tat looking for the unexpecting victim. Should I honestly not find fun in that? One of my friends was giving me crap about it and made me feel a little guilty about it, but I look at it like, I am just as vulnerable and it gives me incentive to keep leveling up and getting better. Honest thoughts please.

Clarification: I am playing a tank shadow, albeit not very well:) in fact I haven't played this toon in so long, I have forgotten how to play him. He is level 30. I don't know what I am waiting to proc at all, or what ability to use when I see said proc. It's frustrating I can't seem to follow all his abilities unlike my Merc healer who is 50. With him, I know what to look for and when to cast. Any extra help would be great! I've looked at the stickies but seem to get overwhelmed reading and not really knowing what abilities are being reffered to. Guess I need to l2p:)

Doesn't the consular have an ability that instantly replenishes a percentage of energy?

I would just go stealth and gank the last person or they would gank me.
