  1. I am sorry, but the world I am a part of does not tolerate lying, even if your boss tells you too. It's unethical, and at some point it will come back to haunt you. How bout your doctors boss tells him to lie to you protect his six from someone else's incompetence leading to harm to your body or finances? I know its a bit extreme of an example, but all of you folks who defend this kind of behavior baffle me. It's one and the same, just a matter of degree. Cover up deceit, and become a deceiver. It's too bad Eric has to be the faceman for this, but it's what he signed up for. He has about the same credibility as the sham wow guy. Not my fault.
  2. Pretty much this. On the upside I will get to play some really cool new games that have been recently released and I am very excited for some of the new games yet to come. On the downside, I will be leaving behind one of my favorite games of all time, and on a sour note at that. If Bio/EA would have just been honest and said "ok guys, it was good, but we can't really afford to expand on this game much more" I would have been cool. I would have gladly gone on to purchase another game from said company. But now, due to the dishonest moneygrubbing for nothing tactics that have been put on display, I am done giving these guys any more of my money. This just sucks for everyone.
  3. Ummm... ok. I am sure Eric needs you to come running to his defense. When you lie, you get called out on it. Stop defending this type of behavior. As in stop supporting liars. And we don't have paper boys in my neck of the woods. Nice try. I don't mean to pick on just Eric. I think they should all be canned at this point. All better?
  4. And we should believe you because you have been so honest in the past right? Your posts hold zero weight with your customers any more. Every time I see your smirking face I wonder how you keep your job. I would have fired you along time ago eric.
  5. You should be embarrassed that you ever typed such a ridiculous statement. I lost my mom to cancer. It took seven years of hell for her to pass away. It took you 10 seconds to write something so insensitive that it goes beyond comprehension. If you ever have the misfortune of going through cancer, you will be on your knees praying for your salvation to anyone who will listen.
  6. Nice, now E/A is deleting posts that do not violate the TOS. Lets see here... founding legendary veteran player, with no open character slots who has run almost everything at least 8 times before (actually close to 14 but who's counting) has to do everything again to become legendary once more. I only have to buy some new character slots to do it too! BTW Musco, how did you say that with a straight face during your podcast? Half priced character slots? Really? Geee thanks... I think. And I if I don't fall asleep regrinding everything once again for the grand finale I get a Turret Mount that looks like it was blown off the hull of a T-72 then painted white as my mega prize! Wow! My friends will be so impressed! You know, the ones who have all left in disgust over this brain damaged idea. As for the score for this cluster bang you call an event, lets try ZERO! Which is going to be the exact sum of what my wife and I are going to pay you after we cancel. We sure did love this game, but we cannot continue to support a company that operates in such an unethical manner. Nice job giving the finger to your veteran paying player base, I will give you a 10 for that. You know, if you had just let the veteran players past achievements count, everyone would win. The vets would be happy, (yay no stupid regrind) and new players would be happy getting rewards that they have almost zero chance of being able to afford in your bot infected overpriced economy that you have let go straight to hell. It's such a shame you guys cannot seem to get your act together.

  8. Like you, I feel the CC price on stronghold unlocks is ridiculous. That being said you can buy all the unlocks and even the stronghold itself for credits. I unlocked all my Yavin stronghold that way. It does seem like alot of creds (in the millions) but creds are so easy to come by with heroics, especially if you run them with a group.
  9. Closed beta and CE for me. I have not completed everything with this game as I do not do much in the way of ops. That being said, I still have fun playing. SWTOR is where I come to play with my electronic action figures and waste time doing exactly what I want. I don't see me leaving anytime soon. I think this game has taken the place of my Star Wars toys I had as a kid back in the 70s and 80s.
  10. Thanks, I did not know there were others that were not on sale as well. I hope if its just a few that were overlooked they fix it before Monday. I know, its only 400 ccs, but I have been hoarding coins for this sale for a long time. Lol Sigh... first world problems.
  11. I read over on the Dulfy site that all CM unlocks will be half price through Monday. Yay! So I started my unlocking spree, which was going fine until I hit the Firmament Tauntaun. It's still 400 cc's with no sale price. Is this as intended for some reason or just one that was overlooked? Not that I am complaining mind you. I am super happy with all my other unlocks.
  12. Thanks Deimir for bringing this to peoples attention I have been wondering about this for some time. I have been noticing throughout the years that my coin date was always changing. I figured that the 33 day interval would cause some time creep but I suck at math really hard, so my brain just glossed over it. Add the fact that a fifteen dollar a month sub for me is chicken feed it did not make it worth my while to investigate further. While I agree that the difference is most likely minimal per person CC wise, it is the principal of the matter that makes one raise an eyebrow over it. E/A has been known to pull sneaky behavior in the past regarding petty money grabs and poor customer service. Don't get me wrong, I do support companies making money. They can make plenty of it honestly without resorting to penny pinching and shady time cooking. I as well as many others find the game to be fun, so we are willing to pay up despite some of the flaws that this game and management/dev team have. I however doubt we will hear anything done over this other than the huge sound of silence from the community manager end or a possible closing of this thread. While I will not be unsubbing over this, I can see this as being a final straw for a few folks. I myself am so used to crappy service from any company that has shareholders involved that getting worked up for more than a minute would be a futile waste of emotional currency, plus I would be constantly mad. Here is my recommendation for what its worth (exactly nothing ) Fix it E/A. Send everyone a grant of cartel coins that would cover any loss. It would cost you nothing other than some employee time and everyone will move on and have a warm fuzzy feeling as they think about what to spend there regained CC on.
  13. I already made some myself. I took a couple of CM chance cubes, put them in a ziplock baggie then taped them to the back of my shadow hand throne. They work great, cause no one wants to touch them because they might get something they can't get rid off. Oh wait, there was the guy who ran up to steel them off the back of my speeder and bashed his shin on the trailer hitch. Those two inch tow ballz can drop you hard.
  14. I have had that happen with a large mount as well. If I remember correctly it was the Stardrive Flash or the Tirsa Avenger in the garage portion of my Coruscant holding. I eventually had to reset the whole darn thing. It still happens occasionally, but I just turn off my deco panel then turn it back on and it seems to work fine then. In fact, it does it on all size hooks for me. Hope you get it worked out.
  15. I agree. While I have a bunch of cool looking cannons, there has not been much in the way of new releases. In my opinion most of the good looking ones are CM cannons. That leaves the newer player base without all the awesome ones that came out earlier. Not a big fan of any of the legacy canons either. I guess folks will just have to wait for an embargoed pack to come back or get lucky on a chance cube drop.
  16. I would be a force user of some kind, except I would want to try them all. I would not mind being in the Jedi order, as that gives you all kinds of sanction to mess things up, plus access to good star ships, combat support and rehab should you get your nugs kicked in during battle. As far as relationships go, we all know they are getting a slice on the side (unless you got non working robot nugs from the replacement of the nugs you got crushed during your last nug kicking). Should that lead down a darker path, (I would be angry at getting non working robot ballz) you could go grey. Life would be good as you can pretty much do what you want, except that the whole unloaded dice thing. The frustration builds up, giving you a case of the angries cause you got dumped due to your prosthetic spheres. You become a Sith, throat hug your ex lovers new lover and take back what is rightfully yours. Then during a moment of calm, you realize your error and ask forgiveness from your kidnapped lover, who dies of a broken heart without forgiving you. Before your lover expires they tell you that they gave birth to your child who is now hiding out on some bass ackwards planet with a Twi'lek nanny . In your sadness (cause you still end up paying child support ), you realize the the futility of evil and go back to the Jedi, who forgive you and send you off to some resort temple for stressed Jedi to detox the dark side from your bones. 18 years later you meet your child, whom you hold your hand out too in love... and they chop it off . Ah yes, the circle of life in the Star Wars universe!
  17. I think my favorite is the Defender. I love the looks on the outside the most of all the ships, and I think the inside is set up very nice as well. While the Agents ship looks pretty spiff on the outside, the inside setup is goofy and makes no sense. I think the Bounty Hunter ship looks awful, and the inside looks like it has tons of wasted space. Appears to be more of an interstellar dump/cargo truck. I do like the Sith ship, it fits right in line with the character class. The Smuggler ship is o.k. as far as smuggler spaceships go, but it still looks like a pile of junk both inside and out. Definitely not picking up space chicks in that.
  18. Actually, I never said I condoned nor excused what the exploiters did. Maybe I just need to make myself more clear to you. I understand why some feel the way they do. Simple as that. It is really none of any ones business nor is there anything you can say that will make me believe you or I have the right to judge others on their actions regarding this situation. There are a lot valid points brought up by both sides. The excuses as you view them are REASONS for others. Your interpretation has zero impact on how each individual feels, nor should it. This is not a black and white issue. As you can clearly see, the community is VERY divided over it. Is your opinion the only one that counts because it comes from you? Why are you spending so much emotional currency arguing with people who disagree with you or your core mindset on this issue? Relegating others feelings and opinions as "they have the nerve " or "wa wa" makes me surmise that you suffer from situation myopia, and words like that do nothing to help your argument at all. It is being provocative and confrontational though. Each individual here has a right to their opinions, just as you do yours. Try not to minimize others so much. Unless you are an empath, you really have no idea how others truly feel. BTW, aside from the bugs, I really enjoyed the new content as well. I have completed it on 4, maybe five of my alts. I feel no reason to ask for my money back, nor do I feel as though I did not get my monies worth. Many of us are willing to still play and pay, even if the game is not perfect. I do however take issue with the fact that E/A is threatening to ban people for conduct unbecoming when they have been far from the paragon of integrity themselves. This is what is finally having me question future participation, not the fact that the new expansion was bugged.
  19. First of all, I did not participate in the exploit. I do however agree with Blurch. I do strictly PVE. That is pretty much what I have stuck to since I first started beta testing this game back at the beginning. I have found that operations are just not for me. To many juvenile personalities inhabit the ops to make them any fun to participate in. I have a very low threshold for rude or snotty behavior. I play the game to have fun, not to get stressed out. I understand my limitations with this, so I play PVE with my wife and friends and have for the most part, always enjoyed myself. The fact that some folks took advantage of the exploit means little to me. That being said, normally I do not condone cheaters, but in this case, how can you cheat when something is already broken? I myself am really tired of paying for substandard service from E/A. How can it be ok to take the customers money for something that is broken, not fix it, then spend a good portion of company time going after some folks who found one of the many holes in the new release. It's not just that it was "kinda" bugged... it was downright broke for over a month. I myself played through Rishi and Yavin a number of times, having to replay a number of tweaked out solo modes as well as boss encounters due to resets. It was very frustrating to say the least. All of this reinforces my assertion that E/A has zero interest in pleasing its customer base. Despite all this, I could have let it go at that. I am the type of person who is pretty forgiving with the E/A brain trust for the technical mistakes that have always plagued this game. I work through them, or I don't do the part that is bugged. I for the most part figure they will fix it at some point. All that being said, I am done forgiving. E/A is really chasing their tail on this one. It would appear to me that instead of owning up to their own crummy mistakes and fixing it, they want to divert company time and resources into finger pointing and scrapping. The TOS that is so often thrown around has been violated by both sides on this. How can a company expect its consumer base to follow the rules when E/A has made promises that they have never kept? Where is the monthly content promised us during the first year of release? Where are my goody updates and awesome exclusives I am supposed to receive for having purchased the Collectors Edition? How bout just giving me a game that works as advertised? It seems as if E/A is only concerned with the Cartel Market. The Cartel Market is leaving a real sour taste in my mouth as of late. You have to buy a metric behind load of packs to get anything worth while. While I know its random, the drop rates for the wanted stuff are so low its become a running joke. I feel REALLY bad for the folks who took time off during the holidays, or bought the product with hope of fun and exciting new content to play during their time off from work or school. I am retired Army, so I have all the time in the world, but that's not the case for most people who play this game. They got hosed real bad. I (along with many others) also got hosed on the credit sink to retrain all my alts before they said "ooopz, now it's free guys! But no, if you spent hard earned creds training up, no refund. Too bad. We can't track that stuff." But you can track all the actions that happened during the exploit? I myself have had that lame excuse sent to me because I lost an item in game. Now I know that I have been just plain LIED to. That ticks me off. I was gonna let that go too, until all of this nonsense started. As long as E/A continues to use and abuse its paying customer base, It's really hard for me to want to continue to support them. You just can't keep making promises, not keep them, then point at the TOS as your one way ticket out of YOU being responsible to your customers. Right now in my eyes, neither E/A or Musco has any integrity to speak of. Way too long of a history of broken promises and content. And for ALL of you quibbling and pointing fingers at each other over who did what and got what, remember this. You are all chugging E/A's diversion cool aid. It is dividing the community, and it is gonna cause customer loss from both the banned, and the innocent who are tired of the games that E/A are playing with its customer base. If E/A is gonna cut off it's nose to spite its face, then fine. I will abandon ship, along with my family and a friend who all play this game with us. Clean up your act E/A, or I will simply move on. Last chance. I know you probably don't care what I think. You have already pumped hundreds of dollars from me, plus I am aware that what I pay really makes no difference to your bottom line. I know I may receive a ban for my outspokenness, but hey, I am a soldier, and an American, so free speech and integrity means something to me. I hope this all works out. I really wish the best for both this game and its players, but right now I am looking at finding something else to have fun with.
  20. Give the Red Dragon Perdition a looky see. http://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Perdition-Precision-Programmable-programmable/dp/B00GU8W5AE/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420233319&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=perdition+red+dragon+elite I own and use a Naga Epic. Its really nice, but kind of pricey. My wife wanted one for xmas, but our budget did not allow for the Naga Epic. I did some research on this Perdition, and have found it was very well liked by the gaming community. I took a shot and got it for her, and she loves it. I love it too. It does all the same stuff as my Epic, except the changeable hand size pieces, and it does not have a wireless mode like the Epic. It is very well constructed, has add on weights like my old logitech to help balance it out to user preference. It even has an extra button that the Naga does not have, which she has set up as her next target button. I have to say I am bit jelly now that she can flip between targets faster than me. If I have to go buy a new mouse when my Naga Epic finally breaks (I have already had to fix it once) I will be switching to the Perdition. At around 40 bucks with free shipping its a good bargain.
  21. It is called a lack of emotional and social maturity. It strikes people of all ages and intellects. I see more of this type of behavior online then I have ever seen in an actual war zone. Even the lowest denominator officer and NCO types who engaged in this kind of behavior during a mission would find themselves without people to command within a short amount of time. Rage on display is unbecoming in most aspects of life, not just the military. If you want to be a winner in this world, you have to cultivate loyalty and a sense of connection with those around you, even if it is just for ONE operation. I would imagine that most folks who have poor temper control online would never act like that in real life. If they do, I cannot imagine them getting very far. Simply put, online ragers of any kind come off as being no better then a shaky Chihuahua, ready to drop a chocolate cheeto into their underwear at the first sign of adversity. These people are unfit as both leaders and followers, and should probably seek counseling for their lack of self control, not spending time playing a MMO. It is after all, just a game.
  22. I pre-ordered right away. I cannot wait to see then new planets
  23. Lol. Did I hurt your feelings? Did my posts hit too close to home? A little bit of intellectual exchange too much for you to deal with? My kind? Exactly what is my kind? Again, zip it. I could care less what you think. This is not a *****torm btw. Not even close. If you think it is, you need to get off the computer and get out into the world a bit. You have a ton of growing up to do. Maybe a small stint in the service would be good for ya! My dog is fine however.
