  1. We would be extremely overpowered with your suggested changes. EXTREMELY. Quick escalation would be a full heal etc etc on that 11s cd leeching strike. Assasinate would hit like a total monster in a dot spec. Not to mention we have big heals but less dmg reduction in hatred, if we also got the damage reduction would be so nasty. And then you also wanna get easier energy management just so easier to play. We would be so broken.
  2. I love quick escalation, its the main reason ive just rolled back to my old assassin. Damn i love that leech mode. The parses you link are 1m health dummy with like 19 leeching strike hits, it's all about getting the first hit to crit then you are almost guaranteed rest crits until cooldown occurs or duration falls off. So, those parses are just good rng ones. You get like 75% for leeching base crit giving you 3/4 chance the first is a crit with 3 more following after. So given 1 might be guaranteed from recklessness, its almost more likely for a 1m parse to have full crits than one of them failing. Almost. Actually i don't think they should be able to use it for every filler spot, because as far as it seems to work for me it won't take more than 4 uses before going on cooldown. Even if i let the debuff fall off it still goes on cooldown after i believe 4 uses. Lets imagine they somehow line things up perfectly maybe that gives you these cooldowns to use: 2xeradicate(from procs), 2xassassinate(from procs), discharge, creeping terror, death field. Maybe another assasinate from phantom stride. Maybe even a third eradicate could be possible with perfectly aligned procs. This could give enough cooldowns to fill the leeching strike cooldown. Whether it's possible and practical, i dunno, but might be done.
  3. So i have a couple of suggestions regarding some things that have annoyed me recently. First is about clickthrough chat. This is something i absolutely need to play else i am forced to be unable to click combat and aoe fields at many times. I would like there to be an option that eiher you can interact with chat while your are typing, or when pressing a hotkey. The second is about logging out. I play with background sound on so i can hear GF pops if im tapped out. Well tonight i got annoyed a lot. I queue for MM for 30min and when we get inside some undergeared tank fails and a dps leave, then tank leave, and then healer dont wanna wait for another tank so he leave leaving me to go back in queue. Well after a time i get bored as helll and go to forums reading stuff. About 40min into queue, well guess what, it stealth logs me out and im just so pissed i spendt nearly 2h because of this crap to find a group when i finally get one. Please give a sound warning about logout that is clear to hear so i can react. Goddammit. Thanks for listening.
  4. I just came to make a little update, i'm the OP. I made this after coming back to the game and wanting to fight things and everyone wanna skip. But now, i don't really mind anymore. I think i would still prefer instances designed not to be just skipped, but when everything is all about pushing that gear/exp per hour then i can shaft the quality of the experience in favor of that i guess.
  5. You guys are on a crusade that won't see you satisfied until we have so much power we can just roflstomp whatever with great ease because we would be so overtuned. Assassin strong, just needs some other classes turned down not turned assassin into monster overkiller. Operative(tools, little damage), Powertech(burst), Juggernaut(damage) needs take nerfs.
  6. Honestly, shadows/assassins are very lucky because they don't have ability creep. Most of the classes are so overloaded with abilities that the rotations are very annoying and there simply aren't enough top tier hotkeys for your fingers. Most other classes they don't get spells replaced and its so annoying getting 2 abilties doing about same into rotation to uptimize dps. The new cooldown isn't so bad, it makes sense tho lacking duration on the slow, and it isn't forced into single target rotation. Be careful what you wish for, more =/= better when it comes to class design.
  7. Always pathetic to hear clearly broken OP classes crying tears about how they are ooohhhh sooo targeted. Get real, you deserve much more severe nerfs than this one and should expect more to come. PT's and Snipers should also get nerfed in some aspects, weaker classes should be brough a bit up.
  8. I loathe Hutball, please do not force me to play that sh¨t.
  9. Damn menz, i look on this topic every day and my wildest wet dreams are there people start talking about it, talking about which ones they prefer which ones they find best etc.
  10. I Hate Premades. Well, i hate when you can face premades when just qeuering random anyway - it really sucks and makes no sense to join a default to lose game where the premade just roflstomps random. I didn't queue to face premades. I Hate Premades
  11. Doing it in story won't change anything. As i said, i love to play with random groups and do flashpoints - but it isn't funny to play with max rushers who dont take time for fun. Guilds aren't a solution either, it's a completely different thing to doing random groups with random people and the ones who like one are not neccessarily the ones who like the other as well - just as in my case. The ones who prefer to rush mega, are getting annoyed with those who want to take their time anyway - and would be much better served with only playing with other likeminded. I dont mind i fi have a 5min wait(probablt would be way less) to get a group that isn't alll about rushing. Another thing is it is super annoying queueing for all instances and because people who queue only a few appear to be put in same queue with everyone that wants to run random - most of the time is the same damn ones that pop. Please give me a select all fp's random with a bonus reward for it and make each new instance be random so it's unaffected by spam by people who dont wanna run more than the few most efficient one. Let me say it again. Those who want to rush, would prefer not to play with those who don't want to rush, and those who want to take their time would prefer not to play with those who wanna rush. Is this not true? WIth a tickbox for "rush group" or someting similar those who wanna take their time can use that if they don't mind waiting a bit for a good group and everyone will be more happy - if they dont wanna wait they can go right ahead and queue with rushers.
  12. I love doing random dungeons in mmo's, flashpoints here. I just started swtor again - and what do i find? WHen i queue nearly all the time i get into groups with people who rush ruuush ruuuuuuuush, skipping nearly everything, pushing everything off edges, rushing past to reset agro areas etc. Some fp's there are hardly any trash fights when full skip tactics are engaged. I load slow on this computer and before i'm even loaded people are already zooming screens ahead and i take minutes to catch up to them. Everything is quantity over quality play. I just don't have any fun and it made me log right out totally demotivated after a few days of trying this. Please, please give a simple "rush" tickbox for rushers to find each other so that i don't ever have to play with these people who seem to have overtaken random fp's and completely ruined my experience which is one of the best things i know in MMO's. I just wanna queue with people who wanna clear normally and take their time and have fun, not being all about rushing max ratio of rewards. Making good social experiences is all about bringing people together who want to play in the same way, throwing us into the same pool just makes it much worse for both parties.
  13. Most of you should just leave and find another game until you can appreciate SWTOR again. You are so full of negativity because you have been stuck here too long. I just came back and i appreciate how the game looks now. I play the best mmo's and arpg's and that way i can enjoy them when i want to, but i don't get stuck and negative for playing the same game too long while expecting the game to fullfill me every desire. Try it, coz you all can't see anything good right now. There is no way around it anyway, the negative you feel now will only keep growing until you leave. Better not let it burn you up, find something else to try there are many great out there like swtor.
  14. Yes i cannot wait i want to remind you: You guys have too much stuff like way more than others and it's quite frankly unfair. You can go on you and just whail away use good rotation, use your defensive cd's well and still if you use yours even half decent you will barely be taking damage for long enough to make others have to flee because they run out of cooldowns to deal with you and all the while you are just doing massive damage yourself. I'll give an example of how you just have more than others. Assassin for example got their utility changed that, i think before it gave assassins 30% damage reduction when stunned, and they took the 30% aoe damage reduction from one specc and merged the two into one utility that now if you are tank specc reduces 30% damage when stunned or dps specc 30% aoe reduction. Meanwhile you have a talent that gives both 30% aoe and 30% while stunned reduction. And they didn't even have to nerf a specc to give you this more powerful version. This is an example of how lame overpowered your utilities are, the 70% heal one its max retarded too. Take a look at your utility lists and it's many there with too big advantages that have been nerfed for other classes when they had so much power. You are having way too much overpowered **** compared to others, best tanking for ranged burst class etc things don't add up. And I for one cannot wait till you get butchered. "Butchered", pff, it will just be made to be as powerful as others and not get too many unfair advantages. Oh yes it will be good.
  15. That's what i mean it is very competitive, it requires a whole other level of awareness and teamplay and so is something quite different from the other simpler warzones. Just my 2c.
  16. Thanks for clarifying. I wouldn't say most points come down to lack of experience, only 2 of them. In addition huttball will become less of an issue as i get more experienced, but it doesn't change the truth in what i said about it. Huttball is an ultracompetitive mode, there is no fun simple interaction there like fighting team vs team - it's not really fitting i never liked it since first i set eyes on it. I don't want to stress that much, i've come to know myself well enough to tell what i call ******** game content that i don't enjoy. I know i am not the only, huttball polarizes players. I don't want to force it away from anyone, but i dont want to play it simply and i dont think its fair to force so many players in there who don't enjoy it.
  17. Not that i've payed notice to, but then again i didn't look. It is a reflection of a conversation i overheard. But if it is already always the case, then consider the point moot.
  18. RIP Nothing happens. I come here often but never something new.
  19. I actually have played all classes i find interesting and studied all abilities of other classes. I think my most played class is assassin. Currently i am playing Guardian. As i said those who are area based like force storm, cyclone slash etc they do hit stealthers. I am however unsure how those who target additional targets do - from what i noticed it doesn't seem to be the case but i also write i am not sure about it. But you are right, i do consider it bad design that some classes can use non-combat abilties to completely circumvent fighting and cheese cap objectives with a very very low skill cap involved. Hence why i write these suggestions, and why i consider it done in a "failed" way. Absolute rock/scissor/paper designs are archaic. Keyword Absolute. But thanks for your comment. Oi btw, what do you mean they already allow faction versus faction? Is this a thing for all warzones, or just a tiny handful like the arenas?. Most warzones are hardwired i believe to faction versus faction even down to announcer lines being rep vs imps, which is why i posted.
  20. Very many things make PvP far from an optimal experience. Here are some things: Healers have way way too much power. In particular sorcs. Don't believe me? Just look at the leaderboards. Tanks have too high DPS. Huttball forced on everybody? Think stupid gamemode is the worst i have ever played, getting in so many games of just lamers throwing the ball and using class ability to cover the map in like 5 sec is just plain meh. This gamemode really sucks. I don't mean to say it can't be a good game, but it doesn't work in this swtor where mobility/cc etc is balanced for a normal game. This should be a game in itself it is so competitive that it requires that balancing and it just doesn't fit in a regular mmo without mobility restrictions etc. You are forcing this non-mmo gamemode on everyone. Bad idea, simple warzones not this overcomplex **** that usually turns into an unenjoyable experience. Sorc's bubble needs to be nerfed. At minimum make it so that it doesn't break control effects(so you need to be able to cast to use it), and i would also suggest lowering duration to 5 seconds and/or look at the cooldown. Make it so that faction can play against faction, but only full team of same faction works. Lets say there are 5 imperial teams in queue(enough players to fill 5 teams in a warzone), and 3 republic teams. Instead of 3 games started now it will be 4, with 3 games imp vs rep, and 1 game rep vs rep. In arenas or whatever u wanna call the deathmatch games, do not allow teams with a healer vs teams without healer. If active discipline when queuing is healing, then do not allow that to be deselected.* Lack of stealth detection abilties and lack of aoe's hitting stealth targets. I could be wrong about this, it's just how i feel. It seems to me that a lot of aoe abilties like guardian slash just simply doesn't target stealth targets. I think it is not those who are area based but those who finds additional targets in range to hit. It doesn't matter what it should hit stealth, any abilties that strikes target in an area will strike you if you are stealth too, the cap is there to prevent aoe power being too grand, not to protect stealthers. Some warzones are designed in a fail way where the cap timers are so short that stealth classes can reliably cc you and when you break it with cc break they will just do it again but this time cap. In other words if you are the right class it requires at least 2 people to defend against you because you can just press 1 ability and never have to do any fighting. Like the one warzone where you have have the two things to cap on the sides and they will periodically explode whiping all but the middle. Maybe another way is dimishing returns on those long sap abilities so that it is not possible to sap a second time after trinket use and have enough time left to do whatever u want. Same when tard stealth are defending, they can just cc you. I am not honestly sure if there is some sort of sap immunity after a while, don't think i ever tried it but if there isn't then that is lame as they can just lock u in place and u cant do ****. Something is wrong with the target marker circle beneath your target. I think it is both too little/vague and also it is in a too low layer. Many areas in many warzones it simply doesn't show because there is something on the ground u walk in and it is gone, u also sometimes cant see it with camera far out, some abilties like bubble like things can almost entirely hide it, sometimes its very hard to see just in general fights, making it annoying trying to figure out who you are attacking sometimes. At minimum make it an option - big fat target marker.
  21. We just need this. It is so simple and will be of such great benefit. Not only can you make a coolor stronghold, but also a more practical one. Currently you don't wanna put important things to far from the spawn point, even if your place would be cooler if placed differently. For example in the yavin hideout, instead of always spawning in the front and having to walk alll the long way, you could spawn inside the center to emerge inside some ancient city.
  22. Kids, you don't even deserve an argument. Thanks for bumping.
  23. Am not neccessarily looking for big numbers, hell i usually play dot classes(pun intended).. anyways.. What i really wish was there to be more things i crave. I simply don't really desire it enough to bother and that is my problem, it is relatively meaningless because of its low level of influence. It simply to me is not something i desire enough, i don't think its balanced to be addictive enough. As i said, i do like some aspects of the game and i come back some times every year for a couple of weeks to enjoy that. I am simply saying that is how i feel, never said my way should be the way u all think. Devs can ignore it if they want, i just put it here that is what the forums is for. So honestly dudes, **** with your "just leave" type-ish comments, even if i can see you are a good guys you still do these troll move like a regular braindead whiteknight - making no points just trying to put others down. EDIT: I feel like i have no identify when everyone is the same as me in terms of their character progression - for example i like to spend a couple of weeks on my tank hardgrinding dungeons and having fun growing powerful and as i do the group becomes happy because i can tank everything and everyone becomes happy due to my character being well powerful, so the whole run goes smooth. I love queueing for dungeons and showing off my power. Now everyone and their mother(ahaha pun intended), can just easy get it all like nothing and there is no pride in my character outside of the looks of it which i do take great pride in. Again, if i wanted a pure action game about only skills i would play something like counterstrike - but i like games with rpg elements the most.
  24. 2% with less than 50% average uptime.. no believe it or not it doesn't become "a lot" ahaha, you are just proving my point that there is little difference between higher and lower gear rating. Besides i can outtheorycraft any of you in a heartbeat son im the master theorycrafter. But i say that just to make you happy, i know you love to read that. Still true tho. Let me give you an example. Whether this is theorycrafted right i don't know, i haven't run the numbers myself but going by the guides: Difference in these secondary stats or whatever you wish to call them from the very entry level gear you can buy straight on gtn and the best in the game is is like 300 crit rating and 20 alacrity. Wow huh? Now, can try to keep up this next part is badly presented, I am tired as ****. Then base weapon damage from 208->224 is increased by 7.3%.. And maybe around 900 mastery and maybe 1300 power. I think i overstimated that power though i am tired as hell worked hard physical labor all night long so wont waste a couple hours theory-crafting it right.. Just an estimation.. What are we looking at then huh? Again this won't be right and im tired as hell probably forgot something but were looking at i reckon around max 30% increase to overall weapon damage and 300 crit rating + maybe 1% crit and 20 alacrity... something similar to that ish going from the weakest straight on 65 gear to the very best in the game. Then lets say full set bonus is 5% damage, though probably 1-3% is more accurate, so were looking like 33-38% damage increase or something like that.. again lets say i failed hard and its actually more like 45%. Laughable progression. That's not even talking about you can buy most items direct on GTN of rating 220, making the leftover progression tiny maybe 7% growth or so, on a decent budget maybe you'll be sitting at 15-20% power progression left in game after just 1 day on 65. That's to fully min/maxed BiS gear. And u think u have big endgame progression huh. Gotta be kidding me. All of this with no interesting items, no legendary items like twinbladez of azzinoth etc. etc.
