  1. She doesn't sound even close to Russian. And yes, I noticed it myself only a few weeks ago (summon her very seldom) that she does indeed pronounce some words that I could swear sounded like one of those few Japanese words I know.
  2. I agree with the topic starter. The playstyle feels more like I'm a sorcerer than a marauder now. With a 12 and 18 sec DoTs it just totally sucks, I'm hitting with a freaking lightsabre, 6secs was really fine and there was no need to change that. They could have just replaced vicious slash with a new ability, for example, or just added some features to the existing abilities or procs (they managed to change carnage without messing everthing up, although they made it even simpler than it was, but at least the feel is still the same). But they literally smeared the damage all over the rotation, it feels dull to play like this. The Force Rend and Rupture DoTs are often useless on common adds, because it takes too long to apply them, so it doesn't pay to use those two skills, because the raid will burn the the add down to 50% by the time you have applied your "mighty" DoTs. That is two spec-exclusive abilities that fall out of the picture a lot of the time (I'm not talking about the new ops adds, those still have tons of hp, but are we forced to play those two ops only?). I am very disappointed with the current Annihilation spec, it is totally ruined.
  3. Bump this. How are we supposed to keep an eye on the debuffs in a 16ppl raid for instance? It really doesn't take much coding to make your debuffs have a glow or a simple outline, or make the debuffs of others transparent while your debuffs solid. I consider this a high priority quality of life fix.
  4. Ah, that explains why I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks for the reply.
  5. Does anyone know if it is available in-game? http://s18.postimg.org/shq0xe0ex/Screenshot_2013_09_24_20_01_36_823927.jpg
  6. It should be called Bloody Orange, not Blood Red :-) The artists at BW have a real fix on orange colors, we got orange, CC yellow-orange, red-orange, now this "blood red" orange.
  7. Looks like more like orange, is nowhere near blood red. The artists at BW have a real fix on orange colors, we got orange, CC yellow-orange, red-orange, now this "blood red" orange. FIX IT
  8. I'm not saying it's superior to the Smash boost either, it's just a personal preference 'cause Smash and SS are used mostly on the trash between the bosses and seldom in boss fights, and the trash is what it says on the tin - trash, no need to go out of your way to dps it. As for the Cloak of Carnage - I do take that ability, think it's a must, because you often get AoE dmg while boss is on the tank, so it helps you generate rage. Here's my build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bcbZGGMRRroMMIRZc.3 While I find myself using rupture on the bosses in specific situations only but still on a regular basis, I almost never use Smash or Sweeping Slash during a boss fight - if we're talking AoE dmg, it's the responsibility of other classes, most of the time you would be better off killing your targets one by one instead of using our weak AoEs. Although I must say there are situations where a filled rage pool + gore + smash/SS can do wonders, but most of the time a mara is fixed on a single target. So taking Hundering vs. Decimate is just a personal preference, which would also depend on the tasks assigned for ranged dps's within your raid as well. That is considering my build, where all I got to choose is Hungering vs Decimate, strictly PVE. If you still believe I could improve my build by taking Decimate, I'm willing to try it out, but as of now, it seems to me that the classic Decimate build is pretty much the same, both abilities being more or less equally useless most of the time. P.S. Yeah, I forgot to mention that Decimate could help you increase your DPS numbers just to show off, cause you get more dmg on the trash/adds resulting in an overall increase in dmg throughout the instance, but it's still non-essential. My point is that both builds are almost almost the same, with the Hungering build giving you a bit of extra healing during boss fights and the Decimate build some extra AoE dmg. Both working best for a specific situation.
  9. The thing is that you actually have to choose between Rupture when you got Execute (while waiting for the FS cooldown) and another Massacre most of the time. The Rupture's benefit is that it requires 2 rage, while Massacre requires 3. On the other hand Massacre is a series of hits, each of which could benefit from the +30% surge boost you get in the Carnage tree. Despite inferior damage numbers shown in the tooltip for Massacre and increased rage req, you still have a good chance to get a crit with a 30% surge increase, even if you go all power (which you should do). Over a long fight it would prove to be more efficient, I believe. So the only reason to use Rupture that I see is when the boss is about to run away (like the Writhing Horror or Kephess TfB jumping away) so that damage keeps ticking a bit while you close in on the boss again. Also, there's a non-conditional build to take the Hungering from Anni tree instead of the Smash boost from the Rage tree to be able to heal yourself now and then during the fight. Might be of help for the healers in some very tight fights. The crit chance even with 0 crit rating is still pretty decent with the buff and stim, depending on your augments - I went for STR, for once. It is not uncommon that I get hurt for about 100k dmg during a fight with about 10k self healed (which makes 10%) without losing any dps (which might have been counted as lost on the dummy because the dummy stays still and many bosses move around, and a DoT helps). Sometimes those 10k is what it takes to kill the boss in a very tight fight. The downside is you get less AoE dmg on the trash, but if your raid is dying on the trash, that's another whole issue, save the bosses like Writhing Horror, where you can put that AoE dmg to some use standing in the pool - but even then a DST and an Orbital from one of the raid member would be quite sufficient. All in all, the strategy I would suggest is to use Rupture on the boss about to jump away and not include it into your rotation generally. Taking the Hungering from Anni instead of Smash boost from Rage is a personal choice and depends on the specific boss and how hard it is for your group to kill him.
  10. I am having difficulties making Execute proc. It is not uncommon that I do 4 massacres in a row + BA + assault + another massacre or some other melee attack and still not get it. I think I see it happening more often when I have berserk on. Can berserk somehow lower the chance of it proccing? It really pisses me off when I got FS off CD and I don't have execute.
  11. You sure it's not the dark side corruption? Cause it changes the eye colour to yellowish first and finally to red.
  12. It is clearly not an issue they want to pursue at the moment, hence no changes in the latest patch, but I would like to bump this thread up and draw the devs' attention to it once again. 2EricMusco It has to be resolved one way or another. If you still stick to your stand that this is intended behaviour - consider changing the tooltips as you did for the pvp power proc relics at least, since the current description of the relics is misguiding. By doing so you would put an end to this once and for all, if that behaviour was indeed intended. And if it wasn't, please, give us some kind of an update on how/when you are going to fix it. I'm sure I'm not taking too much on myself by saying that every single person that has posted in this thread and most of those who read it would just like to know how things are going and what you think about it. P. S. I want to make things clear here - I am confident that this is a bug, these relics have totally different effects and there's no way on this earth they could prevent one another from proccing if you follow the logic, any sentient being in this universe will tell you so.
  13. Useful in boss fights when boss is about to jump away, or otherwise you have to leave him, so you put a DoT on him before that happens.
  14. Yes, welcome. Only problem is that the login service is unavailable. Otherwise works perfectly well, we promise, you cannot check it for yourself atm, just trust us on this one.
  15. Parsed on Carnage Marauder. Arkanian Relic of Dark Radiance + Underworld Relic of Serendipitious Assault. The longest period between power procs I noticed was over 1 minute(!). See full log here http://www.torparse.com/a/276445/2/0/Log Other fight details are as follows: first fight - Arkanian DR + War Hero (113pwr) Second and third : Arkanian DR + UW SA Last: UV DR + WH (113pwr) No main stat buff, no stims, no adrenals. Berserk used. I highly doubt that this was the intended behavior. Like, every 20 or so secs or 1 minute in between, feel the difference? And that was intended?
  16. I once had an Arkanian internal dmg proc relic + an Arkanian power proc relic. What I saw in the log was that if the dmg relic procced it would not allow the power relic to proc for another 4.5 secs, at which point it might proc again and delay the power relic from proccing for another 4.5 secs. Repeat as needed. The longest period between the power relic procs was about 50 seconds, though most of the time it stayed in the lower 20s (so ~ as advertised). P. S. That was before the last patch 2.1, so not sure if they fixed it.
  17. Now that's some news :-) You are the first mara I'm hearing about this from. To be serious, you did benefit from crit pre-2.0, I've seen a lot of builds with crits varying from around 22 to 30% buffed, never seen a build with zero crit. And I'm still skeptical about zero crit even post 2.0, I'd still throw in some. I have heard a lot of advocates of zero post-2.0 crit, but have never seen enough numbers to support it. Right now I'm aiming to have close to 24% crit buffed when I get full 72 gear on a carnage mara. Reason: the Sever skill (never played Annihilation, but it has Bleedout with a similar description). I believe a 30% bonus dmg on crits is really nice.
  18. I got a copy of BF3, also account in BF P4F with some money spent on game items, but I haven't received any e-mails from BW about any pets. Seems pretty unfair if it's for new accounts only.
  19. Then maybe you could just describe the difference in the rendering process, so that I (and everybody else) could understand it? Because right now I see virtually no difference, which could make a huge impact on the performance as it is now.
  20. And which calculations are you referring to? All players and gear are models with textures on them. The server sends your client the data: there's, say, 10 players on the server, represented by these and these models, load them from the disk, wearing such and such gear, load models for the gear, apply textures. Player1 changed this piece of gear for that one, load different model, apply texture. What "dynamic rendering" are you talking about? And what about actions? Do you really believe that your PC calculates all the potential actions any player on the server could take? What for? It's nonsense and it's impossible.
  21. It doesn't have to calculate anything "potential", it gets players' data and loads the appropriate textures/models. Calculating stats, you gotta be kidding me, it's just crunching a bunch of numbers, it's little fractions of a second. The only difference is that you get the data for loading all the stuff from the server and send data about your actions too, which only affects latency.
  22. The computer doesn't care if it renders players or NPCs, any Skyrim city is good enough for comparison.
