I just got back from the movie as well. I really enjoyed the movie. I'm a Jedi at heart and play one in SWToR, but I won't lie that Vader was bad *** in that end scene. Literally a juggernaut. I thought the CGI on Tarkin was pretty good. You could tell Leia was fake...but I was ok with it. K-2SO was really funny! He reminded me of HK-55 and the swamp scene with the spiders. The Blind Guy was awesome too. The bag over his head part was lol...

I like all of the changes announced for the expansion EXCEPT the gearing change. I am worried that the Boxes might be RNG too much. Do you get a complete set of gear from the boxes? Is it only one piece for each box? Will I get only tank mods, hilt, etc... or will I get some pieces that are DPS gear (even though I am currently specced to tank)? For PVP, you're removing expertise...I'm fine with that, however, what about accuracy? We'll still need a PVE set of gear and a PVP set of gear because you don't need accuracy in PVP. If the goal was to make it easier for someone to jump straight into PVP, then I think the mark was missed regarding accuracy (no pun intended). Like I said, all of the changes look great, except the gearing one. Please provide more information about the crates. Heck, do a live stream and open some crates at different ranks so we can see the gear that will be awarded. Thanks for reading.

Tanks, I'm going to give you advice coming from an experienced tank who is just returning to the game. Remember you are the valuable commodity. DPS are a dime a dozen. The obnoxious ones are even less valuable. 1. If you que solo and want to learn the fights or get familiar with the dungeon (get a basic understanding) que for Tacticals. Once a tactical is done, remove it from your que list (uncheck it). 2. If you do a run and someone is nice to you (whispers good job or whatever) add them as a friend. Next time you que, whisper them first to see if they're interested in joining you. Start networking. 3. Continue to let folks know you are new or inexperienced when you zone in. The ones that leave are problem players (do you really want to run with those guys anyways?) Don't be concerned if someone leaves. Use the que to replace them Remember, DPS are a dime a dozen. Again, remember, if you want to tank you're going to take some lumps along the way. I would also advise clicking the tab next to the one that shows General conversation. This allows you to essentially turn off your chat. You'll still get whispers, but if someone is rude, then ignore them. They get to wait longer next time in the que. Just a few tips. Good luck

I do not agree. Lets take an example. My wife has 3 Masters Degrees. She makes 6 figures in her job. She plays this game with me so we can spend time together. She has NO interest in PVP in a game, she has enough PVP in the real world. She does like the in game PVE, however, and she wants Pierce. She has to PVP to get Pierce. She has no PVP gear and has no desire to get it. She only wants to participate in whatever number of matches gets her Pierce. Expertise gives everyone else in the match that has the 2018 55% more damage and 32% more damage reduction. Not even the best PVP'er skill wise can beat a capped 2018 expertise player in my opinion. Even if they could, why not have everyone on a level playing field? Like all sports, let skill decide the match, not gear.

You make a good point Jarvus. I know I am in the minority in my opinion with regards to PVE gear. I am the first to tell the loot master to pass the gear to someone else if the upgrade is better for them. Most folks get really, really serious about gear and who gets it in PVE content. I'm just not sure that PVP players play for gear...not sure if I am making my point or not...PVP players, in my experience, play to beat other players.

Yes. I too am fully geared. Let everyone come in and have their gear be bolstered (whatever they are wearing, even if naked). Is it such a novel concept to have skill, not gear, determine who is the best player?

According to the newest trailer, the twins are right now (or just finished) invading Korriban and at least one other planet. Burning a path through the galaxy before disappearing??? There hasn't been one mention of these events in the intergalactic news network???

I married a gamer girl as well. Not sure that can help the OP. But I was married previously and my first wife's hobbies did not include gaming. I got it right the second time around. Family that games together, stays together.

One thing to keep in mind OP, doing dailies on a high pop server is not fun. Good luck finding mobs when there's 40 plus folks competing with you on spawn points. Yes, you can switch instances and hope you find the least populated one, but it's been an irritation for me in the past. You mentioned you have friends coming with you, so you won't be in PVE ques too much I'd imagine...just que with friends. For PVP...lets hope they put in cross server ques? I'm on Shadowlands with my wife and my gaming community friends of 10+ years. Seems fairly busy all the times I log in.
