  1. Yes, very nasty bug, makes the fight way harder then it needs to be. Plus you have to off him three times ... Here is a method that worked for me. I had vector with me, got up on the platform with Jadus, walked right into him and flashbanged him, then down and between the large standing consoles, kiting him him corrosion dart and interrupts while vector beat on him.
  2. Dunno about the reb outfit, but there is a slave girl outfit social item on nar shaddaa she can wear. Needs Social 2.
  3. Not only in the 50 braket, lower level as well. way to much stun and CC and basically nothing you can do about it. Really fun when you have like 3-4 stuns on you at the same time.
  4. Actually, lots of games do this, loading the areas the player is heading towards from disk while the player is not in it yet. That is what allows for seamless big worlds.
  5. My guess, one less database call they have to make, since power and color is one item now.
  6. Don't worry, the entire SI story lines makes your character an idiot, plus you are not even get to kill the final boss yourself. After haven him battled three times and won three times.
  7. Lets face it, companions right now are glorified pets. Outside the specific companions story lien they offer very little else. True they might make a remark at times when you enter a new zone, or throw some lines in a dialog with a npc. But that is it. You can't comment to them on their remarks, they don't care what they wear. I would love to have an actual reaction from the companion when sticking her into a slave girl outfit for example. They are fixed int heir roles, they are fixed in what we can teach them, nothing. all we can do change their gear and they don't care about that either. No companion ever makes a simple comment about getting a new piece of gear handed to them for example. Give a weapon nut a gun he can actually use? nada, zero, give it a gift weapon that shows nowhere and he loves you more ... Can only talk to them in cantinas or your ship, not in the open world ...
  8. Yes, SWG had nice and crisp gfx compared to this. Especially on a pc that could run all settings on max.
  9. Makes me wonder if they ever heard of character LoD managment, can and is done together with textures as well. would automaticly chose based upon distance, program load etc how detailed the characters, the world looks. STO does that very nicely, and its character are not less detailed, but the textures look a lot sharper and crisper and it has no problems with lots of characters on screen at the same time. Heck, even SWG had that feature in their engine.
  10. Story is all fine and good, but story needs freedom. Especially since the game is advertised with play your own saga. But there is no such thing as your own saga. Its a prewritten story line for your class. No exceptions. No matter how stupid your character acts or what ever happens. The story must follow the written path. For example in the SI story lien that are a lot of points in which you can only shake your head about how stupid the character must be to do what they are doing for the reason they say. Or when you are forced to have a certain companion with you just so that to story can progress, and even when that companion dies in the all important fight, he mystically appears again to do exactly what the story needs him to do, doesn't matters that he should not be able to. Another annoyance is with the leveling and story. So you start at level 1 and get to like maximal level 10 and are an apprentice. But your own apprentice you get is like level 45 fresh from the academy .... Just makes one scratch its head.
  11. Yesterday on ilum i was hanging out with some guildies and there was this one chest looter spawning. Bored as we where, waiting on the rest of the team to show up, we just killed that guy every time he spawned, over and over again till he gave up and wasn't seen again.
  12. One way to cut yourself of from a lot of extra XP is not doing the bonus quest objectives. Especially the multiple stage ones wield in the end more XP then the main quest itself.
  13. No, the point is that we don't even get to see the fleet at all. Just been told about it. Except for one cap ship we visit once. That is it. I want to cruise around in that thing, its mine.
  14. The worse part of that is, you have his death in a bloody cu scene while your character is standing around twiddling her thumbs. It would have taken a lot less time to kill his attackers then watching him die while doing nothing. Railroading storytelling is bad, mkey.
  15. Another thing about this whole nonsense is. I have story wise a fleet, at least one capital ship with a super weapon that can wipe out entire fleets with one shot. So, wheres that stuff? Why do i still have to fly around in my little dingy of a ship? Run errands for lowlifes to be able to afford a taxi ride?
  16. Only shows how damn inflexible the whole companion system really is. Killing one of would be no big deal if we can modify our companions to suit our needs instead of getting forced to take and eat what crap we are given.
  17. The little extra speed increase does matter actually, since you can drive away from mobs you just run over on your pleasure cruise better, allowing you to ignore more of them. But yes, the speed increase alone is a joke. Makes one wonder why the taxi speeder bikes can go so much faster then our own, and even fall from great highs, go through exhaustion zones etc. Those are just speeder bikes!
  18. the order in which to take down NPCs is important, weaker ones first, then the strong/elite ones. Healers above all else. The standard NPCS in mixed groups do a surprising amount of damage for been labeled the weakest. Plus with each NPCs less in the battle, the less incoming fire you have to deal with.
  19. What would be very nice if the headband would not part of the basic character design, but a seperate equipable item. there are so many nifty headbands... http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/b/b0/Twi%27lek-TURcov.jpg http://www.ayyvida.com/gallery/ayy_vida_4.jpg http://www.radiantcg.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=128 modable orange social gear, race restriction Twi'Lek
  20. what would also be nice to have, is the ability to narrow down our searches for item attributes, say I'm searching a shield that has a willpower bonus of 30 or greater. I want to be able to say search shields, chose willpower from a pull down menu as refining option and input a value of 30 to exclude anything below that.
  21. Unless someone in game confirms having one of the purples from that list. Its outdated beta items that got removed for release.
  22. A counter argument, why not? You are already like everyone else of your class?
  23. I have the full set, got it all from the GTN except the chest piece which was a mission reward. However where are the bracers hiding? Never saw them anywhere, heck the only orange modable bracers i ever saw where some for agents.
  24. But without all those nice space stations. how would they separate all the different classes into different hangars .... What a bollocks concept. Why not just make one big hangar where everyone's ship is in and be done with it? You can't enter other peoples ships anyway.
