  1. I'll say it one more time, I wasn't responding to you or one of your posts, I quoted the entire post that I was commenting on, which sentence I highlighted isn't the real issue. If you are going to respond to me for something I said, then at least read the entire post including the entire post that I quoted if you really want to understand my point. All you want to do is call someone out for what you deem incorrect. Anyway, my point, my opinion has been and will be that the problem is not with premades or solo queuers. It's with the match making system and low population on some servers.
  2. Maybe you misread his sentence or mine, or maybe it has to do with reading comprehension. He said in his post, and I quote " I rarely if ever see a premade when I solo queue.", hence my response saying he may think different if he solo queued AND constantly faced premades, I put the AND in capital letters so you may better comprehend, I understood he solo queues, he just doesn't get stuck vs premades like some people on other servers may, all day long. But again, the problem is not premades, it's not the solo queuer, it's the fact that the population is too low on most if not all servers to have any kind of real or even pretend match making. Without cross server queues this will continue to happen.
  3. Except I did not quote you, so what's the point you are trying to make? I quoted Raanu (or something close to that) not you, I didn't have any comment on your post since my opinion pertains to premades. and again, the problem is the matchmaking or lack of such.
  4. And your opinion is formed from your experience. If you solo queued and were up vs premades most of the time, you'd probably think different. The problem is not the solo queuer, it's the matchmaking system that does not exist. All most people want is to have fun competitive matches, and that rarely happens, at least on the server I am on.
  5. Yup, how many of you have been in a group with 7 other solo queuers and get put against 2 premade teams of 4? Great coding!
  6. The one and only problem with premades is that they are not forced to go vs other premades, period! It's an MMO, so if players want to queue up together they should be able to. It's Bioware's fault for not having cross server queues and for not forcing premades vs premades. It does happen, but not as often as it should.
  7. I am okay with matches like the one you had in the video. Both Commando classes had a guard and a healer on their side. In matches like that I do well, I am kept alive long enough that I can get through my rotations with out the worry of being burned up in a few seconds. But why did the Commando classes have the guard on both sides and not the heal? Because from what I have seen, and what this video shows, is that the Commando type class gets focused first, even with a guard and healer on their side. I don't get many of these matches. Most are 4 dps vs 4 dps or if I am lucky 1 healer and 3 dps vs the same. So every match I get jumped by 3 or 4 dps from the start. Other classes have abilities to dissuade the enemy from focusing them first (stealth, bubble, roll + entrench, undying rage, phase walk, etc), Commando types don't dissuade anyone from not focusing on them. What I would love is to see a video, for a great Merc or Commando, where they are going vs 4 other dps focusing on them and how they handle it. I have gotten better at it as long as I have something to use for LoS, but that is not my idea of fun game play.
  8. It's not really fun either way. Trying to get your daily done and having to lose 6 straight none close games to pre-made groups isn't fun. Being queued in along side a premade on your side is also not fun 99% of the time, it's just a stomp fest. I may get 2-3 memorable close evenly matched games a week, most of the time they are super 1 sided one way or the other, so most are not fun. Imagine how much fun it would be if match making existed and you went up against somewhat evenly matched teams more often?
  9. From what I gathered before 2.7, the max you wanted your gear to be adding the mods ratings was 193, like having 69/63/61. I started pvp'n with 4 characters that I never had before for the sole purpose of stacking commendations. I set my gear as 66/66/58 purples and did quite well with those 4 characters. Has the number of 193 gone up now, if so to what? I know the MH/OH need exp in them now, is it just the crystal that needs to be expertise?
  10. So, with 2.7 bolster changes, does gear still need to be equal to or less than 193 (like 69/63/61), or has that gone up? (to get full EXP)

Voidstar: - before match starts, ask for people to call out and to watch the doors, specifically warning about stealthers that like to get in behind you and cap. - door opens, 3 of us drop east, 5 west. I help kill off the 2 enemies that came east, then go west, leave the other 2 to guard that door. - I get to west area, there are 6-7 enemies there, start to fight them. 5 seconds after I get there, I hear the 20 second warning from other door, both teammates that were there guarding are still there, full health, just not bothering to watch door - I leave warzone - Civil War -I drop to intercept for person capping snow/grass, I see 4 incoming to our node and proceed to get their to help out. We are outnumbered 4 vs 2 at our corner node, yet both mid and the other node get capped by enemy team withing 15 seconds of match starting. - still 4 vs 2 at our node, no backup, other 2 nodes lost, I leave warzone - Hypergate - Game starts. 5 people go to cap our node, I am tempted to leave right then and there - We cap our node, all 5 come to mid leaving node alone, it gets capped by other team, I leave warzone. Deserter debuff seems like a good idea, but it will reduce the population even more. The only saving grace is being able to leave and hopefully avoiding some of the players that were on the previous team. If I cannot do that, then the frustration will build until I just stop queuing and playing.

    Worst part of STUNS in this game is that apparently it stuns some people to the point that they cannot call out in-comings to a node they are guarding.

  15. It's not a good idea to solo guard with a non-tank anymore. I used to solo guard very well with my dps Vanguard, but no way to do that now in DPS spec and gear. There are too many good Operatives/Scoundrels out there that can now take you down way to quick.
  16. I think the biggest reason for the so called QQ is the frustration that comes from losing all or almost all your health before coming out of the stun/knockdown. You're dead or close to it before you can really defend yourself. It's one thing to lose a 1 on 1 to any class, it's another when you regain control of your character and have 20% health before being able to return fire.
  17. And an hour ago I was jumped on my Vanguard by 2 OPs in huttball near one to the heal nodes. I took them both down alone (was able to get the heal), but they weren't very good. The issue is that an OP that is comparable to me in gear and skill, can take out someone in a few seconds. There is absolutely nothing I can do when I am stunned for the duration it takes me to die. Not every OP can do this, but the decent ones can, and that is the issue, you can now be killed before your resolve bar is full by 1 other class. It's not that I have an issue with OPs/Scoundrels, it's that I have an issue with any class being able to either kill you or get you down below 25% health before you can actually do anything to defend yourself.
  18. If my stating what I have noticed today seems like crying, well, not much I can say to you, you've mad up your mind. As far as the L2P comments, no class was taking me down in 5 seconds or less before today's patch. Granted I am not a tank spec'd class, but I have guarded a ton out of necessity. What I am saying is that for the last 8 months or so I have been able to guard a node and not die so darn quick. Yes, I have had assassins take me out 1 on 1, but I could live long enough to adrenal, medpack and use all my defensive cooldowns, or at least long enough to have a chance at backup.
  19. They can do this again, not all of them, but the good ones, 3-4 attacks, 3-5 seconds and your dead. Good times.

I agree with you, it is always better for a tank (best stealth tank) to guard, but realistically there isn't one in 95% of the warzones I am in, and when they are there, they usually guard their healer friend. Regardless I have always ended up guarding because I was good at it, as good as a non stealth dps class can be (PT). In the past, some of the elite OPS/Scoundrels have given me fits, but when I've lost those 1 on ones, I have been able to live long enough for backup to be on the way. Can't do that anymore, I cannot count on living long enough for someone else to get there in time to stop a cap. First time I ran into this today, I waited for full resolve before using my break root, I was dead just after activating my unroot. The second time I went ahead and broke root right away, used a wz adrenal and medpack, then I was stunned again, dead before I came out of the stun. I lived a few seconds, could not run away, could not prolong my death. I did have enough time to type snow though.
  21. By the way, I am not talking about every Scoundrel and every Operative. I am talking about the good ones, the elite ones. They can take down a good and elite opposing player down real quick. Whether or not I think of myself as elite, I've seen them do it do players that are elite on my server. I've seen them take people down in 3-4 seconds, real quick. They were not doing that yesterday.
  22. All it take is a few warzones to figure out that the same people that had a hard time taking you down yesterday are taking you down in a few seconds. It's not a L2P issue or I would of had these issues yesterday, last week, 2 years ago. They got a huge buff, OPs and Scoundrels on the teams I've been are know that, they are talking about it. So unless you are fully tanked spec'd don't bother guarding. When your guard calls for help, get there immediately.
  23. Figured I'd give my feelings on this as well. I used to pass the time PvPing before 1.2, I have 2 War Heros, both were in full BM gear before 1.2. Before 1.2, I don't believe that I ever missed completing the 3 win daily of either of my toons. Now, I don't even feel like participating anymore, I have finished the daily once with my Jedi Guardian, and 3 times on my Trooper. It just isn't fun for me anymore, used to be most of the time, the frustration used to be about the stun and root fest, and about a couple of classes being a little OP. Bad thing is that there aren't enough other things to keep me around in game, so once my time is up, if PvP is what it is now, I doubt I will find other things to keep me interested.
  24. Again, I am not saying the Ops are overpowered. I do not know if what happened to me was a bug, a hack, or just a really good Op. I was in a warzone and saw an Op (one of the best ones on our server, either real good or can hack, idk) that was picking people apart. I engaged him from 20m out and got 2 abilities off before he cloaked. He reappeared behind me and knocked me down, hit me with a few abilities, then as I stood up he disappeared again, only to immediately reappear behind me, stun me, and continue to drain my 17.5k health. The 15 seconds comes from the last ability I got off, it has a 15 second recast, I saw the ability finish it's cooldown when I was about 35% health, and I continued stunned for a few more seconds before I died. Now, this is the only time this happened, I have never been stun locked by 1 person for that long before. So what I experienced was 1 player remove my ability to do anything while I lose my entire health bar. It's not my gear, I am 12/14 BM, I am sure the op is full BM. So tell me, is it possible to do what I described above? If not, then either it was a bug in the game, or there is some hack out there that allowed him to do this.
