    Solo Ranked

Ranked has become incredibly toxic which causes a lot of people to walk away from it. And then the queue pops less and less often. No surprise.
  2. As long as I can still quit before the match starts once I've seen its yet another Huttball.
  3. There's always some class that feels OP, and I've posted more than my share "nerf this" posts I fear, but since I started keeping 6-8 toons of different classes in regular rotation out of a larger pool I just feel like, meh, it's this toon's turn I guess. The OP is right though, fix bugs before tinkering with classes again.
  4. There's always some class that feels OP, people call for a nerf, maybe the nerf happens, but the devs always seem to over-rotate on it and then its just some other class that becomes FOTM. It almost feels intentional. I just keep 6-8 toons of different classes in rotation out of a larger pool, and if I get frustrated by an Op, or previously a Merc, or previsoulsly a <insert FOTM here> then I just go play a few WZ on that class. No class is ever unstoppable though.
  5. Hmm, the gist of this thread seems to be "so many bads on my team, it's holding me back". Well, both teams will have a mix of players taken from the same pool, so they'll be making mistakes same as the 'bads' on your team, and if you aren't taking advantage of that then maybe it's you. And if you think every team you're on is bad, then it's definitely you.
  6. Uh, no, I certainly know my math. MoonRaker just mixed up two points in my post. For the artifact augment schematic there is a 10% chance of success when decontructing one prototype unit, i.e. 90% chance of fail. However, chance to fail 40 times in a row is only 0.9^40 or 1.47% chance of all 40 failing. The discussion of stacks was w.r.t. the medpacs where I was incorrecty assuming the chance was 5% per _unit_ not 5% per _stack of 6_ which is what it really is.
  7. Ditto for artifact augments at 10% - I did two groups of 20 and got no schem. Not worth the cost or time to keep trying. I might go play a less buggy and disatifying game like Fallout 76.
  8. If the chance to learn schematic for gold Mk2 medpac was really 5% (1 in 20) then the fact that I've now deconstructed >110 artifact medpacs and still no schematic means that I'm either unbelievable unlucky - or its just broken like so much else in 6.0
  9. Try to learn schematic for Artifact Augment @ 10% chance. Deconstruct 20, no schem. Deconstruct another 20, still no schematic. Switch to toon with Bio, try to learn reusable Kyrprax medpac mk2 @ 5% chance. Have now deconstructed 112 artifact level medpacs, still no MK2 schematic. If it was really a 5% chance, then the chance of doing 112 without success is .95^112 = 0.3%, so I'm either very unlucky or it's just broken - like so much else in 6.0. It's as if BW team sit around all day, NOT fixing all the bugs, but thinking of creative ways to take the fun out of the game and drive people away.
  10. Why does it even have to be an RNG grind. We did the work, let us just chose the next piece. The objective seems to be to make the game as much of a chore as possible.
  11. Too much repetition makes anything boring. I thought Ossus was great at first, but after only two weeks its already starting to seem old. Same with Vandin huttball - I liked it at first, but it popped so much now I never want to see it again. Just make the new content part of the overall, don't force us to grind it till we hate it.
  12. No need to turn it into personal attacks there. The KO point is valid. But the gist is still true - each ability has a similar analog in another class. And other classes have other compensating survival abilities - like stealthing out or leap-to-friendly
  13. Merc dcds are OP? Have 3 basically.. Kolto Overload, restore to 35% health. Hmm, Juggs get a whole second life. Responsive Safeguards: 50% reflect for 6 whole seconds! DOT-Ops have 150% reflect Energy Shield: 25% DR for 12 seconds. meh, 1:45 cooldown And can self heal - like every other class except maras What am I missing? I think merc/trooper was just so nerfed for so long that once they were made competitive seemed more than it was. People (myself especially) always complain this or that class is OP. But reality is if you look at the leaderboards no class is ever very over-represented.
  14. The whole "skill beats gear" argument is nonsense. Some players know when to use dcd's better, and how to escape better so skill differences are in the margins, but we're all pushing the same buttons and it's a numbers game. If getting competitive gear starts requiring a 20hr-a-week grind or impossible-to-get mats, well, I have a life and other things to do.
