  1. Well, my worrying has stopped, after realizing that the devs do not want Snipers in any comp for PvP in 3.0. After rolling a sniper (made mine on day one of game) I am retiring this guy and rolling a Sorc as Ranged dps. I am really unhappy about 3.0 and don't know why they came to the conclusion of the changes for classes "where is the logic behind these changes.". For those of you making Snipers in hopes of doing PvP, don't because you will really regret it.
  2. As a Dps Operative you get owned, healer Ops are a dynamic that they should have really put some thought into and calculating before they made these changes. Operatives are not a one hit wonder class like shadows and Sins (in the beginning due to bugs they were), those days are gone. Roll a Operative as a healer as your heals with the AoE probe changes have made you guys a Demigod at healing now in 3.0. Not sure what direction they are moving in with this new expansion but I'm not liking what I am seeing as it reminds me of the CATA GREENS expansion WOW had. Yours and his post could not be more true, 3.0 will be the age of the Jug/Guardian/PT/Vanguard (tanks) and Shadow/Sin, Sorc/Sage expansion, the other classes will be like seeing a unicorn in the middle of downtown Detroit "Rare" as dps in WZ.
  3. Dying, because while they did up the damage potential for this class by getting rid of and adding somethings, the survivability has not changed one bit. I actually thought about un-retiring my Sentinel and playing it and my Sniper for the 3.0 changes (without giving away stuff on PTS), I'm retiring both and going to play two on each side, A Sage and Shadow on Republic and a Assasin /Sorc on Imps side "Yeah, that's how bad it will be in PvP.". Uhh, and don't listen to the people that are talking about health changes, yeah health has went up, but these classes have been given tools to straight up to turn your world upside down with what they have (2 CCs even while the healer attempts to cleanse and you are still burned in a eye blink).
  4. I asked individuals if they could see me and they said I was totally invisible, I ran around shoting people and they never attacked me. I thought it was a visual glitch on my end only but it was an honest to goodness invis bug. I experienced it myself with a Sin and Marauder today, and I could not see them after they came out of stealth (neither could my group). It's something else going on and I haven't figured it out yet.
  5. You got to understand this is the typical response you get on here from no profanity . To help you out, currently you want to get you some adaptive gear, I usually buy legacy gear put Mk-9s on all of it and just switch it around to all my classes I have, but you could also do it with the free GSF piloting uniform they give you ingame. Secondly the only defense you should be stacking is endurance, as all others are useless and even if you are playing a defensive tank, right now, you still want offensive stats, burst and superior damage is better in PvP period. While in green gear you get bolstered, you still have to look at PvP reduction and damage percentages as a person in purple and blue gear usually is higher than a person in green gear. I honestly would not waste the resources and money putting in purple mods in your gear as the percentage difference is very small. Learn your rotation for bursting a target "Because every class can do this in this game", and focus on called or marked targets. Don't spamm CCs like so many people do, white lining the focused target and don't hold back on applying dots to everyone.
  6. Ah, No wonder I was getting lit up like Christmas, kinda glad to know that it was aces I was fighting since it was so frustrating. Well I appreciate the advice on it and will take heed on this, I'll try to que on non ace days and hopefully fight people my experience range. First time last weekend I actually tried "seriously" to understand and do something in GSF, I did like the action of it but just couldn't get why I was blown to bits in a eyeblink. I'll keep reading and join the channel in hopes of getting better so I can get to the "ACE" level. I want to experience all game play with SWTOR but at the same time not get frustrated. I am a ground guy, I do ranked and such, but I want to be a Space guy to (Yin and Yang )
  7. And who are you to be calling him a nobody, everything boils down to a pvp challenge with you, **** gets old real quick man. That's the main reason this side of the forums gets a bad wrap, people get irritated over one itty-bitty word and it becomes a " Let me show you I can beat you in a virtual duel thread", if the real world still worked like the **** I see in this forum there would be either a lot of people with black eyes or individuals in the obituaries.
  8. Looking for a Imperial agent guild, hoping to find one with a guild ship role playing, PvE and PvP events. While I'm not a hard core RP, I do enjoy it. Also team speak or some type of VoIP would be a plus. Also, I wanted to note, I am looking for a guild with a good Star Warish name, not something like " Back door bandits" or " Drunk til dawn" guild names.
  9. Okay, I know this is a RP/PvE server but for the love of the Empire please when you que for ranked have on PvP gear. I grouped with about 8 people today that I had to tell them about extra damage and damage reduction at full 2018 expertise. While I'm not a *** hat like the PvP PhD holders that like to call people names and such, I do find it very frustrating that Juggernauts are dying faster than my Sniper. Just my rant about this:mad: I would have put this in the PvP forums but it's specific to this server, not to mention there are a lot of ignorant *** grown ups and teens trolling the threads.
  10. There is a bug where Operative group stealth and Marauders/Sentinel camofluage turn you completely invisible. I actually capped a terminal on my Sniper in front of two oponents with and was accused of invis hacks. Not sure if this is what your seeing.
  11. Happened to me twice, after I stopped queing period. If people stop queing won't have to worry about this, once BW figures out that their yolo ques are far and few, maybe they'll do something about this ****.It's rampant on Begeren server, nothing but trolls there.
  12. There will be new stims that you can use to heal you almost as much as Jug/Guardians heals do and new stims for primary stats along with new augments. 42k per for upgraded slots, I think was the cost.
  13. Pretty much, but you forgot a class, Juggernaut/Guardian. You know though in all fairness to this game as those who delve into PvP, no one wants a weak *** class in PvP or even in PvE. For the most part I play a Sniper and Vanguard (would love to play a Sentinel but they are too squishy for my play style), and ***** sometimes on this class as it has been the only one that has not had a dynamic change " unlike the others" in order to improve burst . But this game is and probably never will be a true PvP game. The developers have done a good job in trying to give and take abilities without it affecting PvE and for the most part have succeeded. My advice to you is don't play this game for the PvP because there are better made PvP dynamics out there, play it because it's Star Wars (Only reason i'm still here.). You also have the option to roll all classes until you find one that is good in 1vs1 and groups with or without heals Jug/Guardian, Vanguard/Pyro. if you want to one hit " *** pwn" then yeah, Shadow and Sin/Scoundrel/Operative has the tools and is made for this type of skirmishing. On a note also, you posted in a part of the forums for the most part everyone is a pro MMA fighter ingame but a frightened child in the real world, expect to get hazed on here.

Well, I can honestly gave this a go and tried to really enjoy this event but, I think this was the first and last time I play this part of the game, as being one shotted by mastered ships and weapons was/is not fun (I found the CC ground cluster of PvP more relaxing). I think in order to fix the issue of giving "beginning" good or bad players a chance, they need to implement levels based on ship components ( one whole ship upgrade for level with five upgrades being masters level). Giving people 400% GSF xp still won't fix the "****'" GSF attitude seen in the game either, which I experienced when I asked a question in general and PvP channel, yesterday.
  15. Use Treek in healing gear and use mods with endurance >primary stats with primary stats>endurance augs. Without a healing companion your not going to be able to solo **** on a Marauder or Sentinel.

  17. Firt off, I can troll and throw this thread off topic all day with you throwing around tippits and quirky virtual smirks (It doesn't bother me, I'll respond to them though). Second, you must be a young buck to the game if you don't understand my sig, go read some the devs threads on Vanguard and PT around 2.5 and 2.6, then you would understand my sig .
  18. Err, Stealth, check, burst the **** out of someone's health before they usually know what happens, uhh, yeah. And read through the whole post before you using your gaming fingers to type.
  19. So you wouldn't agree that it's eaisier to play an Assasin in ranked and 55 /bracket than a Sniper (Not a trick question either)? You said I pat myself on the back, I didn't. I gave a style of play example that did not fit me well and explained in a good setnece of why (and didn't talk **** like you are doing to give it). Give me all the insta casts that I have on my Sniper that I have on my Shadow and watch how easy mode that class becomes "which is my point.".
  20. There is a lot of maximized potential individuals out there that give me a hard time as Shadows and Assasins (they all don't You tube their videos though) Evolixe. My point being, it's much harder to play a Sniper in PvP then it is a Shadow or Assassin just because of how our dynamic is. No one is arguing if your skill or how you itemized in question, we are saying that a already easy class with high burst insta casts even in the hands of a mediocre player will give some resistance in comparison (Reason you have a **** ton of Sins/Shadows and Sages/Sorcs out there now). Me and son both had rolled Shadows and let me tell you, it was so easy to turn the tide of battle bursting off on different classes we got bored with the game (he plays a Pyro/Guardian as his main and I Sniper/Vanguard now). That type of game play wasn't for us, because of how we knock the **** out of people keeping them CCed almost 95% of the time (Me and him found it boring and not fun). I have a video that describes this dynamic I want to share and holds true for me and him, but to each his own if this class is your cup of tea.

I did really well from level 10-54, it's when I hit the big boy bracket things started being a lot harder (due to me getting focused fired even over the healers (had to stack endurance over main stat to survive focus fires). If you have tanks and healers that are good at what they do, Sniper is fine for PvP (considering you are above average and gear correctly). Out of all the classes I have leveled up (all but Sin and Sorc) I enjoy the Sniper the most out of them It's not a 4 button face roll class like my Shadow, while this class is a lot harder to master in PvP, I love the idea behind it. I would say roll a Sniper man, they look cool, got one of the best stories out the game, have bigger guns and if you do become good with it, people will surely start to know your name on the server in PvP (very quickly). On a note, nothing like annoying the hell out of every class with engineering (Interrogation and plasma) or rolling through someone with low health and watching them die from your scatter bombs (this never gets old).

  23. I'm going to go on a limb here with this post and this idea, after giving though on "new" PvP game play. I would like the devs if possible to look at 20 vs 20 or 40 vs 40 (Not sure if this would ever be possible in WZ instances without the instance crashing), but having objectives other than defending and taking three specific points you can be zerged at could allow for more thought out strategies other than CC and burn him/her down. How about having two bases and Imperial and Republic where you have to infiltrate it to kill or capture (preferable) the Commandant or Republic general. This includes activating a walker you would have to protect or some sort of tank to break through the gates you would have to protect, manned laser cannons and such used to repel enemies or keep them from detonating explosives lower defenses of the bases. Make it where certain things have to be accomplished to capture the Commandant or Admiral which would give a bonus to your ranked comms or warzone comms over killing him/her. You would have to have certain classes in order to "base bust" (like in SWG) given new PvP skills given once in the instance "Like Hutt ball". I mean making this may be a wet dream, but if it actually happened think of how PvP would be changed for all MMOs. Something similar to this not exactly but, you get the idea.
  24. Well, it depends as I have said in a lot of posts. This game is going the route of "Damage" is king, aka dps race with all classes and specs to please the masses. There has not been a real change in hit points for PvP is which most of complaints about CC in the game has come from (dps increase, health has not increased, CC and more than half your health is gone in that time). Everyone and their mother know that this will strongly affect PvP, we have all been here long enough, patch after patch and know that certain classes in the game has always been the whine about class (Sin and Shadow has been one of those classes). I believe a lot of these changes won't change anything in PvP with the current situation. You think people are whining about this, just wait until they put in "Good" changes for Sniper, tears will be rolling like rocks.
  25. They should, it's one of the easiest classes in the game when it comes to PvP. I love my Shadow, but I found it ridiculously easy when farming PVP WZ. If they don't push a health/endurance for gear, since they claim they are keeping damage the same, it will be a lot easier to play and farm other classes with these changes. Looks like I have to practice my whirling blow spammage again, sigh
