Nope, no understanding here. Bioware decided to add VO to player characters in an MMO. They shouldn't have decided so if this now hinders them from delivering content.
Side note: voice actors are ten a penny.
Nothing says Star Trek more than space stations. I don't like nor want those space stations. I want to travel from one planet's surface to another planet's surface.
I started with a Gunslinger and now happily play an Inquisitor. The latter one having hit level 15 just yesterday. I also plan on rolling a Jedi Knight pretty soon. Having lots of fun this way as I didn't even encountered lots of the stuff people are ranting about as lacking or poorly implemented.
The game is very linear and often it blatantly reminds you of this by placing some mountain chain or defensive wall between you and the quest objective two-levels-later.
Actually I'm currently playing my alt as main. Started as a Gunslinger but pretty soon rolled a fat blue Twi'Lek Inquisitor just for fun and now it's the toon I play the most.
Each time someone mentions WoW I remember the very first time playing through the night elves starter zone. Most fun I ever had in an MMO. That game is awesome. Just don't listen to those having played WoW for years, finally losing interest. It just grew old to them.
TOR is great too though.
The problem is, when it comes to justify why Jedi are so easy to kill, people tend to say stuff like: "The Gunslinger is the best of the best of the best (of the best)", but forget to mention that this reduces all Jedi to
.
Staying. Due to family related shortage of free time I'm forced to a real slow pace. The game's feeling awesome when you're still stuck at level 13 one month after having started
I like the voice acting. But with VO being so popular nowadays in single player games it doesn't feel special in any way, even for an MMO. So I'd say BW wasted money here.
