Was more curious about how Broadsword actually got TOR in July. Yet here it is almost September and the Broadsword website doesn't list TOR as a game it runs, and other then Dev avatars and Wikipedia, Bioware and Bioware trademarks are still listed on SWTOR media. You would think a company purchasing something as big as TOR [relatively compared to current games they own] would be a big "Look what we just got!" type deal and yet....nothing. Or a forum post from a Broadsword higher up introducing themselves. Honestly gives a "Oh, who are you again? Star Trek? The Cold Republic? Oh...sorry Star WARS. Yea..yea Old Republic...just find an empty chair somewhere and we'll get to you eventually" kind of vibe And yet...silence...

All this is gonna do is increase the credit seller presence on the game. The greedy people are NOT gonna lower prices on GTN cause of this so people will be drained of credits quickly with no method of gaining more [enough to keep up with this absurd tax at least]

You pulled Carl the intern as he passed the developer room, blind folded him, and put ALL the Cartel Market items on a wall. Then gave him a bunch of tacks with random prices and had him go to town. I just pulled up the mail and attached a GOLD Cartel Market item to it, around 100K. I then took it off and put a BRONZE [A BRONZE ITEM] and the tax was 13.4 MILLION. I mean I understand wanting to lower the game quality so you can justify selling it but..wow..just wow haha

Different rooms, different computers [each one with new components] each time its been a clean install of TOR. And like I said its ONLY TOR, nothing else, for the past...8 years?

So, been having this issue for years, different computers, different graphics cards etc. So here it is It doesn't happen all the time, but every now and then when playing TOR my game will freeze, screen will go blank, then I'll see the loading screen for the game [on the side of the screen I can see that behind the loading screen is the actual game unfrozen] then the game comes back and its business as usual, sometimes the graphics load back in over the next few seconds, others its instant. It happens in Fullscreen and Windowed mode, with graphics on Max and on Low. 3 computers with different components inside, different video cards [though all Nvidia] and various graphic card driver updates. I wouldn't call it "game breaking" as the game only completely freezes rarely. And the whole process takes less then a minute, just annoying. It ONLY happens with TOR. I also play ESO, FO4, Skyrim and various other games and never had this issue. Also whats going on ingame doesn't seem to affect it. Its happened in the middle of a 16m raid and when I'm standing in my stronghold alone. Any ideas whats going on?

New MMO announced. Star Wars - The Old Republic 2: The Search For More Money

11:18am EST. Loaded into Hammer Station, 1 other person in our group loaded in, the rest seemed to be stuck in limbo, couple guildmates started commenting that the game seemed to be frozen then a bunch went offline [Me and 2 others were never kicked]. So whats going on?

So the guilds I'm in on Republic and Empire both have the missing guild ship bug. BW Support is useless and none of their fixes did anything. So with the conquest for this week ending in an hour is the missing ship gonna affect the reward? People in the Empire guild really worked hard and got the 1.3 million points needed for the High Yield reward...gonna be really miffed if the reward gets negated cause of a 3 yr old bug

Both Guild I'm in on Republic and Empire have this bug, does this affect the guild conquest reward? Like are we not gonna get them because the Stronghold Ship is missing?

So, long story short, took a break from TOR for about 2 years, unsubbed during that time, However I came back and re-subbed sometime before December 2018 [i'm 99% certain of this]. Now I didn't actually log in all that much until recently, but when I looked up Paxton Rall I saw if you were an active sub by December 14th you should get an email about this new companion. However I only recently found out about this and realized..I never got an email on any characters. Now I might be mistaken but I swear I was fully subbed on December 14th. Now none of my toons have even started KOTET so maybe thats why I didn't get an email? Any ideas or am I mistaken when I was subbed

So been away for over 2 years, started up some new characters. Pre-KOTFE you got influence with your companions, at certain levels it would unlock interactions/quests with them. Now with KOTFE does your influence level still affect this? And if so does anyone know what the "max" level is in terms of missions/quests. I know when KOTFE started I had been playing since launch so all my companions were max influece Pre-KOTFE, then they went to Level 10 Post-KOTFE. I know the max influence level is 50. I mean what level should I get my companions to prior to starting KOTFE, since I know after the KOTFE quests I won't have them anymore and thus will be unable to do the interactions/quests

What I thought to, but I just did it to another toon. Changed the first one, and renamed the second to that name with no issue. The original name I tried different variants, accent marks, adding - or ' to it and they all came back at "Unavailable" I put in a ticket but I'm thinking the original name had something..."wrong" with it. But since it was made years ago it never got changed. And now that I freed the name up and tried to use it the game kicks it back. Like some..swear word or something that it thinks I'm trying to say. I won't say the name for obvious reasons, but if it has a swear word of some kind..I don't see it lol

So I wanted to change the name of my new toon, to that of one of my old toons. So I got a name change, changed Toon A to a different name, then got on Toon B and changed the name to Toon A and... "Name not available" I highly doubt someone picked it in the 10 seconds between the name change, and its not a name someone would pick. Is their a time when a name is locked? Like I have to wait X minutes before I can use that name again. I did it before on another toon, changed Toon C to something else, then Toon D to that name. So whats going on?

First off, not a bash of the game or a "Lawl this game suxs, I don't like it and I want everyone to know and agree with me" post. So I've played TOR since Beta, played alot, but 2 years ago I just..stopped. Now I'm a big SW fanboy, love the movies, love everything SW, but...TOR just doesn't feel like its doing it for me anymore? I'll see a new SW movie, show etc and I'll get hyped for some Star Wars gaming. But for the past 2 years I'll make it as far as the char screen and I'll just close it down and do something else. I'm not saying its a bad game, I loved it, the stories were great, but then Fallen Empire came out, I played it about half way and just found myself getting..bored. I figured "Well it's just cause I played so much, give it a year and I'll wanna play more" and as I said before I'll get to the char selection screen and just deflate and go "Actually...I need to do some crafting or dungeons on ESO" or "Actually I've been wanting to play this game on this console" The reason for this post is to ask, is anyone else starting to or currently feeling like this? I figured making a new character would make me wanna play, since with Solo coming out I'm in the Star Wars Hype mode. But as I'm writing this I'm at the Char creation screen and...I just don't want to play. Now looking at the forums I can see TOR still has a good size population, but when I log on to check my characters, my +200 friends list is barren, almost 80% of them haven't logged in in over a year. Idk, I think my problem is I'm "bored" of the Old Republic timeline, with the new movies out I almost feel like it would be better to have a new SW MMO set between ROTJ and FA. I miss the time period of SWG. As I said, just my thoughts, not bashing TOR, when I did play I enjoyed it and I think its a great SW MMO [Minus the typical developer BS that ever MMO has from time to time]

I looked up some other threads and the ones I found talk about FPS, stuttering etc. I do NOT have these issues. The game runs smooth and no problems, just the screen turning off. Again this is ONLY The Old Republic that this issue is present

So had this issue for the past few months, isn't game breaking but still annoying. I load up the game, start to play and within a few minutes [or a couple] the game will go to the loading screen then back to normal. Then depending on what I'm doing [Just looking thru the Bazaar or RP does not do this] but when I PvE/PvP every now and then the screen will go black, and come back saying a Kernel has failed and recovered. The game keeps going, nothing freezes, no restarts etc. And from then on it'll do the same thing randomly [but never right after each other]. Screen goes black, Kernel failure/recovery message pops up and I keep going. Now this issue ONLY happens with TOR. ESO, Minecraft, Steam games, Elder Scrolls Morrowind/Oblvion/Skyrim everything else works with no issues. It is literally TOR that gives me this issue. Does anyone have the same issue and fix? My drivers are not updated to the latest but idk if its worth it if it wont fix it. Any help at all is appreciated [Posted in Bug and General to find some help]

So when Chapter X came out I logged on and had the HK-55 and Blizz alert, logged off and decided to play later, game patched again and when I logged on a couple days later I only had the HK-55 alert and Blizz's is nowhere to be seen, did something change? I submitted a bug report but curious if maybe I'm just missing something

Yea its a new comp but I built it, its got liquid cooling for the CPU and the Video Card has a program that it'll kick on the fans if the card gets above a certain temp, also the Power Supply is more then adequate to handle the load. So yea I think its just a problem with TOR, oh well its not that bad of a nuisance, but thanks for everyones input

I know how to delete the driver but how do I revert back? *EDIT* Nvm found it I'll try it tomorrow when I'll be able to play for a long period to test it

Comp is brand new with Norton and Malware Bytes on it but thanks for the input
