  1. That's not what's happening to me. It toggles fine, and I can still kill them, but it's just as if they take twice as much damage or if I'm only doing half damage. With my shields up, I can't even kill the wimpiest fighters.
  2. The biggest problem with this game, and I said it before it released, is that the quality content would never last. It's too hard and expensive to develop and maintain 8 different classes each with a bunch of different companions. That's a lot of conversation. That was never going to last. Obviously it didn't. Now they're just making generic MMO content that fits all classes. That's not going to change. I'd be surprised if we saw any more individual class story quests, or companion quests. And EA in charge, with their quantity over quality policies, certainly doesn't help that either. The biggest way I can see to create content is to make all the content scalable, like Guild Wars 2. That way no matter what level you are, you can go where ever you want and progress. I know that doesn't help a lot since it wouldn't be new content, but at least it wouldn't make the old content forgotten.
  3. No. I've been doing the rank 1-5s for years. Last time I did them was Monday. They were fine then. Today, with the same gear, same level, same character, I try them and the enemies aren't dying as easily.
  4. I've done the rank 5 missions a million times, so I know them like the back of my hand. Today I do them and I feel like I'm doing 50% damage. Before I would even be able to kill fighters even with my shields up without too much trouble. Today I couldn't even kill the weakest fighter that way. Something happened. Anyone else notice this?
  5. I'm browsing around looking for any new content added since the Lost Island, and I can't find much at all. Even on the official page, they don't have any new flashpoints added. Can anyone direct me and show me a list of the flashpoints, new quest zones, and operations added since the Lost Island?
  6. I think without some kind of content scaling or level scaling to the content (Guild Wars 2), raising the level cap is a horrible thing. It just renders the previous level cap content useless. And without some kind of level lock, that's even worse. What if I'm a brand new player that wants to experience all of the content? I'm going to hit level 60 just from trying to gear up enough to do the Hard mode operations from level 50. It just doesn't make sense. I think a level cap is fine, but it should never increase. After the level cap, make it a gear level progression. Once you have your "tier 1" gear, you're ready for "tier 2" content. Then tier 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. Take notes from Age of Conan.
  7. Can we please have companions in operations? I have a small, tight group of friends that I play with exclusively in MMOs. We very very much dislike having to bring in strangers into our groups, and we'd rather take the no brain companions of ours to join us.
  8. Every time I read stuff like this, I get more depressed about this game. Just knowing that there are many more issues with it that I haven't even experienced yet makes me feel hopeless that this game will ever meet it's potential. Bioware just has WAY too much to change in this game. It will never happen.
  9. What game does that? It reminds me, Everquest II has an option similar. I only played for a moment, but there is a slider that you can adjust so your xp goes away from leveling and is used to get points towards something else. I thought it was a FANTASTIC idea.
  10. Again, OPTIONAL. The current leveling pace should stay the same, but for those of us that want a slower experience, why not let us have that? Give us an item we can equip, a stim we can use, or a vendor we can pay to have a debuff for experience gained. I want to go through all the content at the appropriate level. It's impossible to do this right now due to the leveling pace. I'm level 38 now and I've skipped probably 3 full areas as well as skipped out of a few early. I don't like that. I also don't like doing grey quests which pose no challenge. The ONLY way for players like me to get things our way is for less experience gained. It doesn't hurt any other players. I can't see how we can take advantage of it. All we're asking for is an OPTION to adjust it for ourselves.
  11. I agree with a dual spec, but it needs to come at a cost. You can do it right now, but you have to zone out, respec for the cost, and then make your way back. Really annoying. I think it should be an option, but instead of going to the NPC to do it, you should be able to do it anywhere at the respec cost. Roles are important in an MMORPG, and when a class can handle anything, suddenly nobody matters in the game.
  12. Along with slower leveling. I want to still level, but at like 30% the current pace. Give me a 30% experience gain relic.
  13. I just read http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.cfm/loadFeature/6045/page/1 I feel the exact same way, but there is a simple solution. Much like WoW's experience gain buffs and items, give us the opposite. Let me equip a relic and gain 50%, 75%, even 90% less experience (let me choose). It seems like a simple fix for us that want it, but a massive improvement to our overall experience. The question is, why not?
  14. Not just skins, but different armor types. As a trooper, I feel I only have like 3 choices of armor style, and they all have some kind of pack on the back. We just need variety. The orange customizable armor is a good attempt, but I like the now standard appearance tab most other MMOs are using instead. Customization is one of the biggest features of an MMO, and sadly it's beginning to become one of the most overlooked.
  15. I'd like to go through all the questing at the appropriate levels to insure the proper challenge. Problem is, I gain experience too quickly. I'd like to suggest an option to lock my level or decrease my experience gain. Perhaps a relic for 50% less experience would do the trick.
  16. I was just thinking, why don't they have more interactive quests between players? For instance, you always begin your adventure by some training mission, right? And some higher up is directing you. Why can't your training partner be another higher level character? Why couldn't they get a quest to go back to Ord Mantell and train some newbies and you get the quest where you're the newbie to be trained? Perhaps you could get captured somewhere and have to wait for some higher level characters to come and rescue you and escort you safely out of the area. Yeah, that could be inconvenient if there is nobody else on those quests to interact with, but it could be like a chance of an NPC or a player. Or players could queue up for the Interactive Player version of the quest, or just choose to go the instanced route with NPCs. You could give social points for people choosing the player choice. A good example is in Demon's Souls. There is a boss in the game that will pull a random player in to play as that boss against another player. If there isn't a player to pull in there, the boss is just an NPC, but it's rather interesting when you suddenly get summoned into someone's game and you're the boss fighting against a player trying to complete their quest. Perhaps they could do things like that for instances in MMOs. Sometimes a player could queue up to fight as a boss against a group of players. It would be balanced so naturally the players would have a fair chance to win. Doing it this way would also mix things up so you don't have the typical hokey pokey rhythm fight. You could do all sorts of different things to help involve players with each other without the whole grouping up or PvP thing.
  17. These emotes sure are quiet. Where're the voices there? Laughing, crying, /no? I'd really like hearing more emote sounds.
  18. We're going to be playing on one of these servers and I'm curious for those on these servers, how is the community so far? How are the player names on your server? How is the maturity level so far?
