  1. A new MMO should NEVER have all of their end game raiding content completed by a large population of their players in less than 2 months. THere shouldn't be a large population of max level players in ONE WEEK after release. This is extremely poor design and complete lack of foresight. Oh and to debunk the OP here is what I can do in WoW every day. 1. Dailies 2. Raid all content (if I choose to) 3. Enjoy my professions to get the best items/pets/mounts 4. Play the AH game and make lots of money. No you can't do this in SWTOR, quit lying to people. 5. Level a much larger amount of unique alts. Not the same 4 classes regardless of faction I choose. 6. Run diverse Battle Grounds where I actually get to choose the BG I want to play, not have it chosen for me even when I would rather gut myself than play Hutt Ball again. 7. A lot of times there are some kind of Seasonal Event going on that I can participate in. 8. I can get a group together and go kill all of the Iconic 'Heroes' on the other factions side. 9. Play with my guildmates to attain new abilities for my guild via leveling up our guild. A fun activity to do together. 10. I can force World PvP by picking on a Questing Hub and forcing the high levels on the other side 'Come to the Rescue'. These are just 10 things I came up with off the top of my head. I'm sure people that play more actively could come up with much more. V
  2. So abandoned planets really captures the 'essence of the galaxy'? Some how I think even Hoth has a few people, yet last night on my server there were 5. V
  3. They have a bajillion bugs they need to fix before they think about a translation. They can barely keep the game afloat with English. Lets hope they fix the bugs before they divert resources to something that really isn't important to the health of the game. V
  4. That's what I figured. Thanks for the response. V
  5. Does anyone have a link to any kind of Patch Notes for 1.2? I see all kinds of people saying "that is coming in 1.2" but I can't find anything. Or is this just cobbled together from a bunch of rumors? If anyone could post a link I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. V
  6. Pretty good read actually. She seems like a cool gal. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/loretta_hunt/02/16/amanda-lucas/index.html?hpt=hp_t3 V
  7. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that replied to the thread. For the most part all of the responses have been very good and everyone stayed on topic. I think there is some really good feedback in the thread and also gave me what I was looking for from the community. Thank you again and have fun. V
  8. I think for SWTOR the 3 month patch will be it's largest. A lot of people went that route vs 6 month subs when they started. So that is when it will really matter IMO. V
  9. I really think that if they get a Customizable UI implemented and some kind of LFD tool then I'd be really happy. V
  10. Thank you all for your responses. The majority of you gave some good ideas and it was pretty obvious those that didn't read my original post. After reading the responses I think I'm going to wait until 1.2 and see what happens. Hopefully by that release I'll feel the game has a long term future and worth being in for the long haul. Thank you again for your responses. V
  11. I asked a question of the community to get their thoughts. I'm not looking for any kind of validation from people I don't even know. If you are so worried about how people should think exactly as you, then I would say your expectations are rather sad. V
  12. Which is a shame I think. I think that BW can learn a lot from this release and subsequent maintenance. I think their next MMO could really benefit from that and would be infinitely better. I would even dare say many people are really looking forward to Titan because Blizzard will take all their knowledge from WoW and utilize it there. However, everything I have read is that it will be a Casual MMO with a FPS flare. Nothing confirmed but that is from all the information I have read. V
  13. That was extremely painful to read, but I did chew through it. Please, next time use paragraphs. If you had read the whole thread I did define what things I was looking for based on feedback from people. Also, I am not trying to hide anything in my original post. I asked a legitimate question of the community to get an understanding of how everyone feels. And if the thread is so worthless how come everyone that has viewed it has commented? I would say that's a successful post. V
  14. Azzras I think I am someone who hates the RAGEQUIT posts more than you do. No one cares that you are quitting and they also don't care about your QQ. Just leave quietly and not look like a troll. V
  15. I think I am going to give them 3 months and see if things improve to what I would like to see. I want to see them put forth a customizable UI, ability to choose which WZ I want to play, and a much better LFG system. I'm not saying a full blown LFD type of tool, but something more than flagging yourself LFG. Also, I'd like to see old bugs that have been in since Beta get some love. There are still many and they are game breaking for some. Get these things fixed and I'm definitely in for the long haul. Thoughts? V
  16. Did you even read what I wrote? I said how long is long enough to quit giving them the benefit of the doubt and say 'Give them more time...'. I'm not expecting a perfect game in 6 months, but I am expecting significant improvements, and that goes beyond just bug fixes. But mostly I just wanted to get a feel from the community how they feel about it. If they feel like giving them a year, then great. But I just don't think people will stay subbed that long without a much better MMO experience. V
  17. So for all the people that are saying 'Give them time to do X...', how much time should we be giving them before we say enough is enough? This isn't a troll or a negative post, I'm just trying to pinpoint when we should be fed up. Are we saying 6 months? 9 months? A year? Personally, I think if there isn't a significant turnaround in 6 months then you seriously have to consider if the game has a long term future. I think after 6 months that you have to really start looking at Server Merges, forced faction balances, etc. I truly don't want to see any of those things, but after so long you can't use the argument 'Give them time...' anymore. What are your thoughts? V
  18. I have to say that this post pretty much sums up the reasons I cancelled my sub last night. Although I have had the unfortunate experience of having my fun obliterated by bugs and just poor design decisions. Thanks for summing it up better than I could have. V
  19. One of the very best posts I've seen on these forums. You lay out your issues and actually suggest solutions. Rather than just ranting and QQing, you gave fantastic feedback. BW, these are the kinds of posts you should be drooling over. V
  20. For the people that are saying that each server houses 'Thousands of players' you couldn't be more wrong. In a MMO there are several servers for each 'Server' you pick on the Select screen. As you zone in and out of areas, your character and everything about your character are passed off to another server. Some MMO's do it much more cleanly than SWTOR because they don't use Load Screens. But every time you see a loading screen, you are being passed to another server. I don't know the architecture that SWTOR has in place, but I would guess there are at least a dozen or more servers per 'Server' you are on in the Select screen. V
  21. Well, I truly believe I'm in the majority here that have never even turned on Chat Bubbles. I know you are all passionate about them, but I would say they are extremely low on the list of features to be added. When WoW forced Chat Bubbles on it was the first thing I turned off. I have a lot of friends and never heard of a single one that ever used Chat Bubbles. For all yours sake I hope they implement them in the future, but not at the cost of many more important features the game needs. V
  22. So perhaps your 'I quit, game bad, me important saying stuff' thread was a bit premature? Perhaps if you give them more than a month to fix some issues then all your problems go away? Perish the thought. V
  23. Actually I can. Because it's completely subjective to whomever is making the statement. I really like SWG, but I like SWTOR more. /shrug V
  24. Actually, I would just prefer you didn't post anything and quietly just cancel. The only person that really cares about you cancelling...is you. V
  25. Wow. I hope this does what I think it will do. Revolutionize the gameplay. V
