  1. I really enjoyed it. It got a little annoying that I could still get the disease after the event, but that was minor. I think for a future event it would be really neat if you could drastically change your character for a while. Example: A Jedi starts the event questline which sets him/her on the path to the dark side. Each daily progresses this descent, gradually replacing the Jedi's animations with those of his/her mirror Sith class. Eventually it accumulates into the Jedi almost committing an unspeakable act and one of their padawan helps bring them back to the LS before the act is committed. The rewards would end up being some really cool looking Sith-type orange gear. A similar story for Sith turning LS. Troopers could start a questline that relies on them going deep under cover. Each daily requires them to train under mandalorians to become a BH, gradually changing some of their animations to the BH ones. It climaxes by finishing to under cover mission for the republic and gaining some cool BH orange gear as a reward. A similar undercover mission could be given to Smugglers/Agents.
  2. Playing quite a few of the classes so far I've noticed that a lot, if not all, of them rely heavily on proc based skills: E.G., Troopers high impact bolt, Assassin's Exploit Weakness, etc... While I am getting used to it, I hate having to constantly look at my buff bar/skill bar to see if I have the specific proc buffs needed to use a skill. This is especially annoying in PvP and Tanking while movement is key and glancing away from the action could mean death. Would it be possible, or is it in the works, to add some sort of graphical overlay right on the screen that shows up when certain buffs have been gained or specific proc based skills are available? It took Blizzard 6 years to implement this in Warcraft, and they didn't have as many proc heavy based classes as this game.

  4. Like I said, didn't expect much. I don'tblame BW for the imbalance but I sure as heck can blame them for not implementing solutions to the problem. And it IS a problem. Easiest solution? Cross server WZs. There is a fine line between making a QQ thread, and stating a fact. Fact: Imperials have an easier/faster time getting PvP gear (Luck of the draw with the bags not withstanding). "Don't be stupid". Whatever mate, go back to your imperial buddies and have fun playing huttball forever.
  5. I don't expect a good response seeing these forums are generally a cesspool of flaming and epeen wars. I also don't want to be one of those people that go "Fix this or I quit"... But... I play this game with a RL friend. I rolled Gunslinger and he Vanguard. We don't really do much PvE, as we're more into the competitive PvP. We were really looking forward to this new ranking system coming out in March. But I gotta tell you, I don't think we'll last that long. For the past week, we have been trying to do WZs. Every night now it's the same thing. 4 vs 8, 6 vs 8, etc... And more often than not, a good portion of their team has 18 to 20k HP (I take it that means they're highly geared). We try to go to Illum and no joke we are usually the ONLY two republic players on the planet. I don't think we can hold out for a fix, or for the ranking system. This faction imbalance, which ties into the Imperials having an easier time getting PvP rewards is just too frustrating. The worst part? Still no little hints from anyone at BW that the faction imbalance is even on their radar. Any other Repubs feeling the same?
  6. As a gunslinger, I have to root myself (cover) and use more than one skill to demolish someone that quickly. I also can't heal myself.
  7. I love these BH/Troopers that just use the LOS excuse for their OP skill. Guess what, I'm a Gunslinger and CAN'T LOS and still do damage. I will have a face-off with a BH where all he does is TM. I use ALL of my skills, including defensive ones, and still lose. Please, tell me how that is balanced.
  8. Allow us to go into cover when rooted. Since the majority of our abilities need cover, a root is basically as good as a stun, but does not affect the Resolve bar. Besides the fact that a root is supposed to inhibit momentum... not the ability to squat.
  9. Love how you speak as if the patch has already gone live. Not saying you don't have a reason to be upset, but try to contain yourself until it actually hits the live servers. On a side note I play a Gunslinger, yes 50, with 4 pieces of champion so far. Currently an Operative can take me from 100% to 0% in the span of the one 3 second knockdown if I don't have my 'trinket' up. If I do, I can generally get away at about 70 -80%, but then they just vanish and do it again and I die. Whether the Op is using a stim and buff stack (probably) is besides the point. I should have at lease a chance to do something. I agree the changes on the PTR currently are a bit drastic, and there are much better solutions. I gave my story so you Operatives can imagine how FRUSTRATING it is to be ganked by your class.
  10. So I get on today ready to do some 50s WZ. Nothing is popping. Waiting for over an hour and nothing (I'm republic) and this has NEVER happened before. So I decide to go piss around in Ilum and what do I find? A huge group of Republic standing on top of one another letting a huge group of Imps AOE them all down. Then one minute later the Imps stand all together and let the Republic AOE them all down. This went on for a while. So not only is everyone exploiting Ilum, again, becuase of it no WZs are popping because everyone is in Ilum cheating to get valor. FFS Bioware, please just scrap Ilum and put the resources to more and new WZs. Either that or learn from games that actually do World PVP reasonably well.
  11. I think the OP is upset because there are no dailies he can complete without actually PvPing. Unfortunately for the OP, he's whining about lack of dailies on a PVP specific planet. I'd love to hear his logic on why he should be able to do dailies for PvP rewards without actually pvping. As a republic, I've been to Ilum twice. Both times I just drove around looking for some PvP action. Both times I got killed and camped by 5+ Sith. I will not go back until something is done to fix the imbalance whether it be some kind of bolster buff, and a equal population cap. As much as I hate Ilum right now, i'm glad it's sitting where it is. Republic don't stand a chance to finish their dailies, so they dont go to Ilum. Therefor Imps can't finish their dailies either. I'd rather everyone loses than one side wins with no effort.
  12. No worries, also not that that Green bubble is another skill called Dodge which gives us a 100% chance to dodge pretty much everything except force powers for 4 seconds: Dodge *edit* base skill is 3 seconds, it's 4 with a specific talent.
  13. Hunker down is when two little probes come down and make the portable cover larger.
  14. As far as I can see, they only sell the same thing as the PvP vendor on the fleet (level 20 and 40 pvp gear).
  15. So I've never seen any level 50 missions over abundant. Is there something I need to do to see bountiful and/or rich level 50?
  16. Wow, so many people jumping to the conclusion that this is a whine post. I didn't make this post to whine, I did it to draw attention to what I think is an exploit. Does this stop me from playing? No, it doesn't even stop me from PvPing. I thought I'd try to draw some attention to it. It's easy to say to just learn and adapt. Unfortunately this kind of exploit just gives pre-mades another advantage over PUGs. A team will go into the game with the strategy of using this method to score points. If anyone has a sure fire way for organizing a PUG into a proper defence, I'm all ears.
  17. I tried to knock her off, unfortunately the ball spawn thing is one of those weird environments that prevent my portable cover... hence no knockback ability for me.
  18. I dunno what to tell you mate, maybe it had something to do with the fact she was standing somewhere no one could hit her. She stood on the ball spawn thing, threw pink lightening everywhere while no one could hit her while her team set up a line right to our goal. Once they finished they just pass, pass, pass score. When they climbed up into the environment they just passed it around.

    Huttball Exploits

    So just lost a Huttball match because the Imp team would grab the ball then stand on the ball spawn thing. While standing there, the sorc could hurt/kill anyone else, but we got the LOS "can't see target' message. She would stand there until they perfectly lined up a pass line right to our goal and score. They did this twice, then grabbed the ball, ran to the side of the map and prceeded to jump into the environment and hide in the corner where they could keep the ball and farm kills.
  21. Pros: Good skills Decent quality picture Fun to watch Cons: Music sucks You fought mostly keyboard-turners (Which is death against a rogue archtype like assassin).

    Inquisitors

    So, um, why are all the Imp teams I play against made up of 50 - 80% inquisitors (Or the advanced classes spawned from them)? I'm getting sick of seeing nothing but pink lightning on my screen... Are Inquisitors FOTM?
