im pretty sure u dont have to put the excact mod back in its original place.Just put one with the same stats.Im mainly a PvE player and in my rakata head i havent keep the old mod so i bought a BM piece with the mod i wanted and switched it back.

IF u have the old mods then it wont cost u a think to put them back.just do it and get your gear upgraded
