  1. My companion and myself are not the problem, as I stated in my post. I already have a hotkey for my own companion (and 2 keyclicks to target my companion is one keyclick too many IMO, default keybinds are not always the best ones to use), and since I have ops frames and a Naga mouse, it's not hard to target/heal myself. The problem is other people's companions. Besides, the F-keys are way out of range of where I keep my hands on the keyboard plus they do not work as Function keys in Bootcamp.
  2. I, for one, would space Skadge and Kaliyo in a heartbeat. I don't agree with kits that would allow you to make any companion into any class. I can't see Andronikos healing me while I dps. I can't seen Theran dpsing while I'm healing. It just doesn't work with who they are.
  3. Okay, here's a papercut that I've had for a while and have just recently thought of. My Inquisitor is a healer. Exclusively. I leveled as Corruption and my guild and I have an agreement that they don't ask me to DPS. It's just a personal preference. That said, I use Ops frames exlusively. For Ops and grouping. I have my UI set up so I can quickly target my companion for heals with a hotkey. However, when grouping with others for such things as Torvix or just doing dailies and we're using companions, I have no way to be able to quickly target companions. Yes, I know there are hotkeys for them, but I am not familiar with them, and they are probably key combos that I wouldn't use anyway. I could set up my own keybinds for them, but that's a pain and then I'd have to remember yet another set of keybinds. A workaround is to Focus Target (Alt-F) someone's companion. But every time we get on a speeder, go through an elevator, change phases, I lose my focus target (which is really really annoying). Yes, I could use Party Frames that displays companions, but I don't like the Party Frames and they don't fit on the right side of my monitor as nicely as Ops frames. What I want is for companions to be able to be displayed in the Ops frames, so I can do my job and heal them when I'm with someone and they're out.
  4. Yes, but... You always seem to run into someone who, after everyone else rolls greed, will pipe up, "Can I need for a companion?" Almost always someone will respond with "idc" or "sure" and it's really not that big of an issue, but ya know, that's really not fair to the others who may have a companion who can use it. And saying up "Just greed" sounds mean. Or they'll hit need after the first affirmative response.
  5. This is a nice idea, one I agree should be put in place. Another thing we need is to allow only green on things like Biometric Crystal Alloys. Absolutely no reason to roll Need on those and yet some yahoo does it all the time. There should be one choice only for them.
  6. The Minimap can be moved to where you want it. I currently have it in the upper right corner not the bottom right. What you need to do is reverse or flip the orientation so that the time and connectivity indicators are on the top. If you select the toolip, there is an option in its option pane to Attach to Minimap. Uncheck it and you can move it any place you want. This was discussed in another thread where people were talking about LS/DS options. My SI is (almost) LV and a healer. I really don't like using the Seethe health regeneration. There are people out there with DS Jedi and feel it's inappropriate for them to be using LS spells and animations. What was suggested was have it be a LS/DS unlock or perhaps a Legacy unlock to be able to use spells/animations geared more towards the polar end of the Force you're using. Would give a little more meaning to that little meter on your character sheet other than getting a title (which is annoying because the minute you make a decision that grants opposite LS/DS points, and fall beneath 10K of either side, you lose it).
  7. As much as general chat on both Dromund Kaas and Nar Shaddaa has made me want to cry/has made my eyes/brain hemorrhage the last few days, there is a purpose to it and is needed. If you ever find yourself in a position where it becomes annoying, you have several options: 1. Close your chat window. You can toggle the entire chat pane open or closed so you can't see the chat window. 2. Ignore users who are are annoying you the most. Then you won't see their comments. 3. Leave general chat. 4. Create a new chat tab that will allow you to only see Guild chat, Party chat or something else and filters out General. I actually have several of these so I can quickly see different things: Guild, General, Other (System Feedback), Combat, Convo, Party... It's up to you to filter out what you do/do not want to see.
  8. This would be a great idea. I love the Agent ship and my Sorceress would really like to have that ship. Not that the Fury isn't bad, mind you, but the Phantom is more luxurious and... well... luxurious. Sith need their space or they get cranky. This would be quite nice. I would actually go back and pick up Major Bessiker on Balmorra on my Assassin (sadly can't do that on my Sorcerer ). This poor man deserves more than a backwater posting and an ungrateful son. Another thing I thought of that really REALLY irks me: For every character that wears robes/skirts/kilts, when they walk, why does the model bend in the back with their legs? Material doesn't behave that way and it makes it look as if everyone is suffering from an extreme case of static cling. (Okay in the case of an Inquisitor, maybe they are.) I know that fabric can be programmed to flow (semi) freely (see the Agent Tionese/Columi/Rakata level jackets, Jedi/Sith robes, trench coats, etc), so why do the skirts/kilts have this awful, clinging style to them?
  9. I just wanted to chime in with this. This happens to me, but not only does it move, but if I leave a group/op with people near enough to get the "your companion has been dismissed because" qualifier, my companion is locked out and cannot be summoned until I relog. I've tried resetting the UI, rezoning and the only thing that works is either grouping with someone or relogging. Very annoying.
  10. No. Valor needs to be limited to a per character basis. But Social... It would be nice, but once you hit 50 and start doing HMs with the group finders, it's ridiculously easy to get SPs. That said, I'm not against it. Just perhaps at a lower rate, or like legacy XP, you gain a Social XP that applies across your legacy when grouped. Or they should just make it easier to get SPs, is all.
  11. That's a nice idea. Then you could pick and chose where to invest XP bonuses for alts, companion affection gains, crafting bonues...
  12. To lazy to reformat. My responses/comments are in red.
  13. This would actually be kind of interesting. The Smuggler gets an ex-Force user as a healer (doesn't actually use Force abilities), and the Agent gets a companion who has "secret" Force abilities, but why can't the non-Force classes get Force-using companions? For Empire they could be... failed acolytes? Bottom feeders? Other Lord's Apprentices? So much this. It's just kind of silly for a Powertech to tank with a blaster pistol. A rifle or even one of those cannons would be so much better... As someone who enjoys having her companion out because... er... well I like having my companion out for story reasons, I would enjoy this. As a healer it's a little difficult because I've actually got to tell him to shoot things, but it's not that hard. But it would be fun to be able to do this. I really don't understand what the basis of giving some of the different types of companions at different times for different classes was. Smugglers/Inquisitors get healing companions on Hoth, which is well into the game. Yes, both have a healing class, and you *can* use the ship droid and yes it is possible to level without a healer (I've done it quite well on several classes but I'm strange and like to do things the hard way), but compare to the BH who gets a healer right away... /shrug Never understood this myself. Except that it might be considered "cheating" in that the lower level doesn't actually have to do any work as opposed to a group that does and has to work together. Again, /shrug. It really shouldn't matter, imo.
  14. I'd like some sort of reward for hitting legacy levels. About to hit 49, myself. Doesn't have to be much at all, just something.
  15. This, so much this. The price to acquire the items is too high for an item you will use once, then vendor. Maybe if that were the price for the orange shells, I might consider it, but at the moment, no.
  16. Very impressed with your post. You make some excellent points and I hope that most of them will be addressed. A few of the things you mentioned regarding class/faction limitations on gear really irk me. My inquisitor is really tired of wearing robes or having all her choices limited by whether or not she wants a hood/no hood or to show her belly or not. I made a previous post on the differences between appearances when equipping such items as the Traditional Brocart Vestments on a female and a male, and would really really like the ability to chose NOT to have the top be cut off at the midriff on my SI. Most of the beautiful artwork on this chest piece is removed as there is elaborate detailing around the waist when displayed on a male character. Plus there's the fact that it's one of the few sets that is not black, red or purple centric. As for faction specific items, this same set displays radically differently depending on whether or not you are Empire or Republic. On the Republic side, this set looks like the robes that the Revanites on Dromund Kaas wear, something I'm sure quite a few Imperials would love to look like. One thing I don't think I caught is our companions insisting on not putting away their weapons. It's annoying and seems random. I know when out and about that Andronikos runs with his blasters drawn about 90% of the time, but occasionally he'll start holstering them. I have no idea what triggers it but it shows that yes, they will sheathe their weapons when not in use. One thing I would like to suggest to add to the UI functionality is a right mouse click menu for items in our inventory. On it would be certain options that would include "Equip on Character," "Equip on Companion," "Never sell to vendor" (for those items you may want to keep in your inventory but may forget when it's full of other things), "Never RE" (so you don't accidentally RE an item you didn't intend to), and... I had a few other ideas but have forgotten them. Maybe a "Equip on..." and have a fly list of all your companions.
  17. Please, please, please. Or at least make it longer. And give us a slow dance!
  18. I'm sure the Empire would be quite happy to relocate the Imperial Fleet to Corusant, as well.
  19. There's absolutely no reason why the devs couldn't come up with something to design a "holiday" event around. There are always things people celebrate in any culture. Harvest festivals, Foundation days, the turning of the year, days to celebrate the birth/death of a king/leader/political figure, religious events, etc. A galaxy without holidays seems just a little empty to me...
  20. When I was leveling my Consular, the outfit that I liked the best was a light colored robe (hoodless) and the Balmorran social gear pants, boots and gloves, these latter two color matched to the chest. It just looked like a working Jedi outfit. I'd love to be able to get something similar for my Sith Inquisitor, only in a different color, of course. I don't mind black, but I would love a dark blue or green (she's got fair skin and dark red hair), but is really getting tired of wearing black, hoods and getting chills because of the belly baring tops. And the Elgant Dress is just awful looking.
  21. I'm thinking we'll probably see a change when the HK-51 companion becomes available. This is a very good suggestion. Or at least offer a mod table for our ships, though... /sigh, it will probably cost a million credits and I'll be too cheap to buy one.
  22. This would be a nice thing to include in a right click mouse menu, something like "Mark as junk." Another option would be "Mark never to sell" so you don't accidentally vendor any gear you don't want vendored, like a green item you wear only on the Fleet for its looks.
  23. Even the BM stuff you can do this with, if you don't want the set bonuses, and I've heard a lot of people say the set bonuses are not worth it for a lot of classes. I've seen lots and LOTS of people in gear that isn't the PVP stuff, including Adaptive Armor.
