  1. Haven't been able to confirm anything about another expansion, but they have stated in the livestream that new uprisings will be released as early as Jan
  2. And then there's this... http://massivelyop.com/2016/12/16/massively-ops-best-of-2016-awards-worst-mmo-business-model-2016/
  3. Most of the things I found to be improvements have already been listed, but I just wanted to thank you for making this post. Nice to see someone focusing on the positives, as opposed to just the steady stream of complaints that seem to inundate the forums.
  4. Thanks for understanding what I was trying to say Tsillah. It's hard to understand some of the constant negativity I see expressed in the forums, and in game as well. My only interest is in making this game, which I believe is incredible, even better. So many people point out only the things they dislike, without even acknowledging the amazing things that they do enjoy. I hope that as a community, we can express ourselves better, so that our voices are heard more clearly, and we can actually inspire some positive changes.
  5. Houston here. Interested in partnering with people who want to create content (streaming, podcast, etc) for SWTOR. Please PM me
  6. Saw that they announced new Uprisings in the livestream, but I didn't know that there were already plans for another expansion. Thanks Aussie!
  7. SWTOR Development team, I know you all don't respond to many messages on this forum, but I am hoping you will make some time for my post. The current development and business model for SWTOR does not suggest any sort of long term investment in the game from Bioware/EA. The gutting of the development staff, the lack of a new class after 5 years, and the failure to address the dying servers in any fashion certainly suggests that the game is in decline, as opposed to moving forward. The failure to capitalize on the revitalized interest in Star Wars created by the new films is disappointing to say the least. Is there ANY information or news you can share with us to give us some reassurance that the game will continue? Is there a 5 year plan in place, or even a 1 year plan? I'm not asking for details of such a plan, just knowing that one exists would be comforting. I truly enjoyed KOTET and eagerly await future chapters and proposed uprisings. Is there anything we as players can do to advocate for SWTOR to Bioware/EA? I have played since launch. I continue to maintain my subscription to help fuel the game and show my support. I would journey to a Cantina event, if one happens near my area. I post actively, though what feels like futilely, on the forums. I'm not sure what else as a player I can do. This is my favorite game of any genre of all time, and I have been an avid gamer since the Atari 2600. It is such a superior MMO to anything else out there, that it is heartbreaking to consider that it may not outlive its competition. Any response would be greatly appreciated.
  8. The day we stop reporting on things like this, we may as well all unsubscribe. Their level of response is completely unacceptable. I truly love this game and have been a sub since launch, but I think I may be at the end of my rope with the level of support provided by EA, and even the responsiveness of the SWTOR community reps. They still haven't even responded to what happened other than, "We're investigating."
  9. More this. I'm still waiting on a reply for information regarding the content creator support system. The public face of your customer support needs a makeover Bioware
  10. You haven't even explained what the "issue" was yet... More information would be appreciated, as this cost many of us hours of playtime
  11. I was halfway through Alderaan Star Fortress, and got rolled back hours... And not even a system notification from Bioware, ***
  12. I completely second this idea. I understand one of the challenges is that characters start off completely Grey. You could set a minimum number of interactions that must need to be completed before a character can lock in their Grey status and go from there.
  13. No offense, but with the resources available to maintain and progress the game, I hope none would be spent on this.
  14. Only Powertechs and Vanguards are losing it. Commandos and Mercenaries will still have it
  15. I love the BH ability Death from Above, however, when you cast it in PvP, you may as well put a target on your head for CC or DPS focus. The Trooper can cast Mortar Volley and not necessarily attract the attention of the entire enemy team. I know a lot of people consider this ability to be iconic and signature, but is there a way to make it a little more discreet; perhaps just lower the height at which you elevate when casting it?
  16. Shared credits between Legacy please!
  17. There's no way customer service can monitor chat all the time. They aren't staffed for that.
  18. Maybe I should clarify my position. I am not suggesting that SWTOR has not been successful. What I am suggesting is that I believe it should be even more successful. It is a superior game to WoW in every regard, in my opinion. I believe the mis-handling of the server populations has held it back and needs to be looked into more seriously. I don't know if lack of support from EA has hampered the game's progression, or if the business model for the game has it right where they want it to be. As a dedicated fan of the game, my only interest is in seeing it progress and continue.
  19. If you haven't already heard from one of our officers, I'll have someone get in touch with you. And thank you for your service. Who should I look for in game?
  20. Also, please consider some sort of in game guide for Boss Encounters, ie: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=900383
  21. I am all for some sort of increased monitoring/regulation of chat. As a returning player, I like to keep Gen chat on, as there is occasionally good information, the ability to get a question answered, and grouping opportunities. However, it is so overrun with trolls and immature, ridiculous conversation that it is almost unreadable. Maybe a moderator could give a temporary chat ban to those who are abusing the channel, and reassign them to a different channel? All the trolls and 12 year olds might even stay in the alternate channel, where they can feed off each other to their hearts content, and those of us who are actually trying to enjoy the game can be free of their nonsense.
  22. I have toons languishing on PoT5 as well, including my beloved Valor 66 Vanguard, wearing Conqueror gear (my favorite skin). I re-rolled on Harbinger. Mis-management of server populations has been a huge issue with this game since launch, IMHO. You might want to check out my thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=899525
  23. There is a feature that was implemented into WoW with the Legion expansion called the "Adventure Guide," which is similar to the SWTOR Codex. However, the Guide has a feature that stands out, that SWTOR could really take some inspiration from. Inside the Guide, there is a list of every instance and raid. When you select a certain encounter, there are a few (4 I think) tabs which provide information about the instance, including: - A short background of the story regarding the instance and each encounter - A loot table for each boss - AND, most importantly, a short guide to each boss encounter. The boss guide gives you a brief description of the mechanics of the fight and gives guidance for each role a player may be performing (tank, heal, DPS). It allowed me and my friends to jump right into new instances and raids, without having to study for 15 minutes outside of game, for each fight. It makes PUGing soooooo much easier! The loot table was nice, because I could decide if I wanted to burn an extra roll on a certain boss, trying for a piece of gear that would be a significant upgrade (especially trinkets/relics). However, I would have gladly sacrificed the loot table to keep the encounter guide. I'm sure there isn't time to expect any additional features to be added into the expansion that are not already set. That said, maybe in a patch down the road, we could hope to see a feature like this added to the codex? Please consider it Bioware. I can't tell you how many clusters I've seen with PUGs and even new guildmates in OPs and Hardmode FPs because people simply don't know the fights.
