  1. thx for pointing out battlefield training those were supposed to be in riot strike. And i see what you mean with pulse generator i thought about doing that myself but now it even more viable with 1.4 and probaly a better choice. i thinking of just droping the gut slow and throwing it into the pulse generator instead and just deal with the 50% chance. The combat tech set is better with auto crit cause you can reduce the amount of crit you need and stack even more power and the 15% to auto crit dosen't help at all so have your stock crit more is much better but your more aoe spec would be much better in elim gear. thx for the feed back and i will adjust appropriately
  2. this is a good nerf for us we were to OPed with teh range but we are still deadle just easier to kite that is all
  3. So i ahve been researching BIS gear for pvp dps vanguards and haven't found anything. I know there really isn't a BIS for pvp but i want to know a general consesus to whats needed. I suggest going to Askmrrobot.com and sign up and allow you to make gear and too see what your final stats and what not. really useful to see were you need to go.   4. get to 35% tech crit if you can without losing too much power also stacking aim augs is better then power augs cause the 5% buff will help kee it up till you are 1850 main stat buffed then stack power augs
  5. might just be luck but it could be thats your stats are all messed up right now and need to re do some off pieces to get your stats in a better place. or not in right stance or wrong set of gear idk could be a number of things

  7. the question isn't what piece is better is what stat do you need. like if you low on power get a power piece or crit or surge but sometime stats don't line up properly do do this and thats why the off pieces are there to also help balance out gear. so my answer in short is get the piece that will benefit you most. i figure this out by looking at my precentages and seeing how far each is from soft cap. surge 72% soft crit 35% soft power no soft cap to speak of. my recommended ccaps are about 75% surge (i am at 76.6%) crit 35% tech crit which is about 28% ranged crit(i am at 27.4%) then stack power when you hit those bench marks (i am at 618 power)

  9. i agree some people deserve to get yelled at but you shouldn't do it. it really dosen't help anyone what people should be doing is telling them to not stand there to stay at node or tell them if your last person at node you have to stay there. now if its just random person and continues to fail our vote to kick system should be better for kicking someone. I know its frustrating when someone stands on the edge for them to get leaped too or leave the node even though there the last person there. but yelling at them and not pointing out specifically what they did is a waste of time for you both.
  10. this ability covers slows roots knockdowns(Operatives and shadows) physics(sorc and mercenaries knockback) choke is considered a stun i believe push should of been blocked though HtL might have dropped by the time he used it
  11. removes movement imparring affects mean you can't be slowed or rooted but you keep control of you r guy were stun is a lose of your character
  12. going full 31 AS is worth it for pvp but for pve is not worth it in the long run. i don't pve as assault so i am not 100% sure. With pvp what your trying to do in this spec is increase your burst as much as possible. have assault plastique crit for 4.1k compared to sticky's 3k+ is a much better choice in terms of burst. We are a burst class not a high damge sustained class though we do sustain pretty well maybe to well imo but thats another story. PVP objective for AS spec is spike damage which is done well with AP crits combined with HiB procs. it is possible to hit for 15k+ in 4 gcd's(4k HiB 4k AP 2k Ion pulse with 1k cell hit then 4k HiB proc)
  13. pick this spec up 2 weeks ago and its awesome great for shutting down healers. and will probably be the vaguards healer killer spec if the AS get nerfed to hard. I love the utility of the 30S cd on HTL which is amazing btw. but i do miss the big numbers in AS. this class resurce manageent is really quite something i thought it was gonna be bad even though you said it was good and turns out its pretty good management. its a lot hard to 1v1 anyone now but exccellent in small team fights and healer control with increase speed HTL(AMAZING i don't care if you hate me it really is amazing) and gut slow and decrease cd on interupt. very fun spec though not as affective as AS for actual competative play but great fun for reg WZ. been really enjoying the spec kinda feels like a ironfist but dps lol if that makes any sense.
  14. so i prefer 1250 aim from my gear which puts me just over 1800 aim fully buffed with my base aim. and start to stack power augs. overall i got to ~75% surge maybe a little higher because about 53 surge from 72% will get you just over 3% extra were another 53 surge on top of that is only a bonus 1.5% about. then i head to crit till you get 32% from gear cause buff are calculated after stats so the 3% talent and 5% from smugg is just flat and will get you to 40% with out DR affecting it at all(not sure when DR start to kick in for crit). then stack power from there on in. i do keep some accuracy on my gear just a little about 150 i think which is about 95%. though this is just my opinion and what i have noticed I COULD BE WRONG
  15. thats a good idea actually but the other spec wouldn't benefit much but i guess that why you take tactics. that would be a very good move would reduce the overall burst while still hitting hard with Thermal detonator(assault plastique) but a hard reduce to railshot(HiB) which needs the nerf more then thermal detonator(assault plastique)
  16. this thread is not about yes they need a nerf but how specificly to nerf them this is mostly for people who have played one but anyone is welcome to add an opinion but plz be constructive. don't just say there oped give us something to nerf. I personally play a PT and i think 2 talents need to be nerfed first one Puncture(Brutal impact) need to be reduced to 10% each point for an overall 60% armor instead of 90% Second Firebug(assault trooper) need to be reduced to 10% or 7.5% per point. Keep both points to fill the same just reduce them this will decrease our damage by about 15% which is about what we need considering our outrageous spike damage
  17. playing a PT i know we need a dps nerf thats abouut it but in team fights knights rule over anyone for one reason people are blowing there cc on the PT and knights usually get free reign. but the utility of the defensive CD's are not there to kill but too keep them from dieng which is almost always when team fighting a sentinal also sents are right behind PT in terms of damage and they hhave much less up time then PT which is crazy considering if they had 100% up time they would destroy PT in damage the only reason PT are oped is cause they are ranged. sentinals burst and survivability in team fight is much bigger then PT's but PT have the continuous spike damage that is so very overpowered and need about 10-15% damage decrease

  19. around 1850-1900 aim at 27% crit(34% tech w/o smug buff) 77% surge 550 bonus damage(like 850 tech) and 97% acc these are estimates cause i am not in game atm but there pretty close
  20. Bioware i wouldn't have tried to squeeze everyone on to 2 servers i would of made 1 more and ahve decently high pop's and no ques instead of 2 max pop servers. So ahve people xfer to belgoth beacon (Just a thought). i just hope there is a good reason for leaving 2 low pop servers out of the pvp east transfer. But overall its good your doing free transfers and hope for tomorrow transfers
  21. i am on one of 2 east coast pvp servers left that need transfer. why did you leave 2 instead of allowing us to move to one of the 2 big servers i know you want to monitor the populations of the servers but i would ahve made 3 pvp servers for east and spead the population between them cause you don't need max population on a server just need an active communty to make people happy. So my question is why didn't you just transfer us then watch and adjust if needed
  22. So the question is would it be worth the dps loss to turn your tank stane on and guard the healer or someone. This is for purely situational not an entire match. The situations most common is that your healer is being focused you switch stances and throw guard up you lose a bunch of your dps and either your healer lives or your healer dies with half your health missing. Is it worth it?
  23. man most classes are fine were they are sure a couple things need to be brought ack into line (looking at you warr's and knights). consular and inquisitor need a damage increase a bit and merc/comm need a dps and healing increase other then that most classes have a good spec for each role they can fill.
  24. i have to agree with the ones stated snipers operatives marauders and guardians especially if they go focus and have all there cd up but other then that i can give most a run for there money. i ran into a BH not sure what they were but they hit super hard and killed me everytime i think they were powertechs but in full BM gear i was getting hit for 3.5k or more on crits
  25. yes i agree sentinals/marauders are a bit OPed atm but all the other classes seem to be pretty balanced in a certian spec. i don't know the other specs of classes atm but every AC has atleast 1 good spec that can compete. i am on a pretty small server compared to others and maybe there not a big enough sample but it seems pretty balanced on my server for pvp. i run as a sheild vanguard. all healers should be able to survive 1v1 but should have lots of trouble 2v1. the only class that seems to be lacking to me is merc/commandos but not by much just a slight increase in healing, also lots of expertise for healers is bad just to let you know. but as everyone gains in gear the urst will go down and everything will seem more balanced. i may be wrong on some classes and ac's but that is what i ahve noticed.
