  1. swtor pvp is so good that all the competitive gaming pvp websites gave it negative feedback..as well as professional gamers.

swtor pvp is so good that every gaming "pro" or "celeb" left the game...

swtor pvp is so good that it wont ever make into sponsored competitive circuits

swtor pvp is so good that people say its "has hard as a 4 button fps due to its IMMENSE depth"

swtor pvp is so good that there is still no "skill" measurement tool...( grinded team ratings are...GRINDED)

and did i mention the lack of depth?...i mean..u cant get more homogeneous then this...everyone ahs the same interrupts..stun...knockbacks..4 main damage abilities....and u barely...BARELY have to use keybinder modifiers(where in other games u cant play competitive with less then 30+ modifiers)

ohh and swtor pvp is so good that its the laughter of the mmo pvp market in every serious gaming comunity board.

swtor pvp MIGHT become "good" when the game becomes free to play...and by wtaching how fast subs are still going down..i would say that gonna happen by xmas! hurray

Congrats on being a sheep, BAAHH BAH BAH BAAAAH

    "Because it's not mainstream it's not good!!111"

"Other people say they don't like it so neither do I !!!"

  2. No matchmaker system killed pvp. Inexperienced players should be matched up across from inexperienced players, 3 man premades across from 3 man premades etc, also the idiotic notion of "community" that can not obtained with a cross server queue system in place killed this game, cross server should have been in at launch. As such, this game was killed by the designers, SWTOR, at times, seems to be tailored for and designed by the MMO dejected players with anti-group finder, anti-combat log policies and so on.

Those things didn't save Rift and won't save SWTOR. There's no substitute for a healthy community, and you can't have a healthy community w/o healthy server populations.

All the cross server, addon, log, etc stuff are things that people who have been in WoW too long think are necessary for a game to work. The people asking for that stuff are the ones that will leave the game anyways.

Lets go back to Rift... The WoW kids clamored for this stuff. Said they were leaving if it didnt get put in. Trion put it all in (ostracizing the faithful that didn't want it) and most the people asking for it left as soon as the new WoW expansion hit. These are people who only know WoW and want to turn other games into it because it's all they know. They'll go back to WoW any time anything shiny is released.

Same thing here. The majority of the people asking for it have left or will leave whether it's put in or not. The people who will stick w/this game are mostly the ones that want nothing to do with WoW and it's war on MMO community.

  3. people were leaving before those things.

I still fail to see this extremely short TTK issue... am i playing the same game? People die in the same amount of time as pre 1.2 in my experience and I seem to die just as fast, my damage numbers aren't over the top huge and they never have been, neither is my damage taken... strange... must just be when people focus fire you it seems like you're dying oh so fast.

I don't think there's much doubt that people across the board are dying faster. I'm not saying it's why people are leaving. Not saying it's a problem. But it's the truth.

The EXP change fixed exp to be 1:1 damage:mitigation. Before exp mitigated more damage than it buffed. Die faster

Healing nerfs to all but 1 healing class. Die faster

Add to it that the gear gap was supposed to be closed but the difference between recruit and WH is more than centurion to BM ever was...

Not everyone has the best defensive cooldowns in the game to use...

  4. It only appears so to players who posses even less skill, aka below average.

trying your best and still be average, is not the same as succeeding and being pro.

So who is your pro sponsor?

Where does one go to find out they've been below average for 20+ yrs at PVP across multiple games compared to pros like yourself? There some sort of secret ranking of all pvpers to ever pvp that you frequent?

What has been your contribution to the PVP community across multiple games for multiple years?

What's the link to your blog that's helped tons of people understand and flourish at pvp?

    eagerly awaiting your pro responses

  5. I rerolled a few months back to a healthy Ajunta Pall, however in the past few weeks since 1.2 pop is dwindling down. We has 56ish on the fleet around 7 PM PST, I went to the Fatman listed at full: 108 on Koriban and 124 on The Jedi starting planet.

They really need to make transfers happen, f the LFG tool if there's no one to use it with what's the point. It should be all hands on deck attending to this.

That's the scariest part. You would think that it would be an all hands situation but it seems like they're treating it with mild urgency...

  6. If you would have watch all his pvp videos, hinsights about tactics , strategy and game mechanics you would not be

    embarazing yourself right now.

He may not be THE best, (although a VERY good one, way above average), but he is the best mmo PvP analist,so to speak, that has ever taken the interest to help with so much commitment to the "mmo PvP community". He is always spot on. If i were a dev i would hire this guy ASAP.

So why should you listen to smart people you say...

    QFT

The guy has probably helped more people be better pvpers than these pro leet dudes who are knocking him have ever played against in their lustrous pvp careers...

  7. Just a big EL OH EL to the people asking who is Taug and why they should care what he has to say...

"he's not a top player" lol?! *** does that even mean...

He's spot on as usual. BW repeated mistakes made by many others. They might not have a chance to recover though. While the new games coming out might not be the sole reason people are leaving, they will be the reason people do not decide to come back after BW "fixes" things.

  8. I usually race around the imperial fleet with my speeder I also enjoy strolling the lonely cantina. I pretend the Imperial fleet is really the Normandy and I am commander Sheppard.

So what fun things do you do to past time on your empty server?

    Well done

  9. Coasting on the free 30 days. Haven't played in almost a month probably.

Not very optimistic about the future of the game. With the number of highly anticipated games releasing this year it's going to be hard to resub knowing nothing drastic is going to be done soon. Even after they've manned up and merged some servers it'll probably be too late. i don't have time to play 3-4 games. I wish this was my ONE, but it doesn't look like it.

  10. Paid MMO Server status in all countries- an hour or so ago.

( I don't know what D3 auction houses are but i'm counting them as a server. Nor does D3 have a high, medium, low status)

    wow- 36 high, 124+ mediums, 58 light

D3- 9 available servers, 9 servers are down for maintenance

    Tera- 2 high, 3 medium, 6 light

    Rift- 11 medium, 21 light

pretty much Diablo 3 isn't an MMO in the traditional sense. They really don't have servers, communities, etc. What are the #s for SWTOR?

  11. If you think there are 1.3 mil players playing you must be living in your own dream world. There are 1.3mil active subs, and i am sure 50% of them arent even playing anymore.

Well that's what i meant... Active subs w/the 30 free days. Most people coasting on that, like myself, are not playing. We're just waiting to see what's gonna happen. We wanna play... we just wanna play w/more than 20 people...

  12. I think there are 123 North American servers, with about 66% being PvE and 34% PvP. Add to this the mix of East Coast and West Coast servers. Needless to say, those 123 servers should probably be more like 20. This would push the servers up to Heavy in prime time and Standard most other times.

So, after the merge/transfer, I would probably expect 12 East Coast and 8 West Coast servers. Of the 12 East Coast, 8 would be PvE and 4 would be PvP, on the West Coast you'd probably have 6 PvE and 2 PvP servers.

Well that's the problem with transfers. They OFFER them to people they don't force them to move. So there will still be 123 servers out there after the transfers. There will just be a few more that are right on the cusp of being healthy and a few that are hopefully beefed up to healthy while making a ton more dead ones...

If they pulled their big boy boots up high and just merged all these servers down to 30-50 they would be taking a huge step towards solving the problem. So what if they tick off the 10 people on different servers with the "Skyballer" legacy name that 'll have to be changed... Think of the thousands that will thank them for making the game playable again.

  13. Excellent post and right on I think. However..there are not 1.3 million players now I donot think. Even 500k would be pushing it.

There might be 1.3 mil right now. With everyone that got a free 30 days. After that expires... well no telling.

There are a lot of people still playing, just spread out. There are a whole lot more wanting to play. That are waiting and hoping that BW will make it playable again for them soon. Hard to play an MMORPG with out the MMs... heh.

  14. We've been screaming for them to merg servers for months. nothing.

Now we hear 1.3 is gonna have character transfers... maybe... WTH?!

The servers need to be merged. We don't need you to give us the option to move to another server in trouble that MIGHT be saved by the transfers. Most people who are serious are going to hold out for paid transfers to get on a server they KNOW is going to be healthy anyways.

MERG. Best do it soon too. Like before this free month you've given us runs out. Most people are coasting on that, myself included, and when it's done it's going to be hard to start paying again w/o a clear sense of things being/getting better. Especially hard with the new games coming out this year...

  15. So sad that the game isn't 6 months old and people are already having to migrate to healthy servers/communities. And they're having to do it themselves due to lack of transfers/mergs...
  16. Spot on with the expertise breakdown above.

People saying everyone left because of this expertise change are crazy. Yeah, some people left... the ones that had no idea what it really did. The good pvpers left and are leaving because they have no one to pvp with and/or against and no real goals in pvp.

If you're going to have to pvp with a small community it has to mean something. Like in SWG where you took each other's bases and such.

If your pvp doesn't mean anything it damn well better be fun and there better be a lot of it to hide that it's meaningless.

At this point, this game's pvp is meaningless and not very fun on low pop servers...

  17. People have already said it, but it's because of the low server pops.

BW has about waited too long to merg or do free character xfers too. I'm running on the free month but haven't played the game in over a month. With D3 and SC2 expansion (later this year) it's gonna be hard to come back when they do finally get around to addressing the server population issue :(

It's a shame too. This is a good game. It's just hard to play an MMO w/o a healthy community...

  18. how hard is it to "leave warzone" and queue for a new one

obviously its honorable to stay win or loss but with the current reward system you will save yourself lots of rage by just leaving

    You're one of the problems...

When you leave a WZ you're effectively guaranteeing someone no comms that has been waiting in queue... Man up and take your medicine...
