  1. The thing I like about open world PvP is that it is on your terms (or your opponents)! no goals! no defense or offense of nodes, no timers to care about etc just you and your opponent *********** each other over till one dies. Same concept in OW group PvP, your team Vs there's killing each other for the simple fun of it all! not clock watching or node sitting. BTW I love WZ's aswell so dont get me wrong they are good too. Also I do like having goals in OWPvP like capture points etc which I guess you could class as node watching but it has a different feel to it when your not on a timer and knowing it can happen at anytime! /my2cents
  2. Duck-butter http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=duck+butter
  3. I actually had to put a tinfoil hat on my cat which is asleep on my desk aswell!
  4. I never quit a WZ because of lowbies..... I have quit WZ's because of douche bags on my team. I will say though that I wish BioWare would lower the level that everyone gets there run speed skill "Sprint" from lvl 14 to 10! I would be lying if I said I didn't cringe a bit when I see 3+ people on my team that are lvl 13 or lower especially in Civil War and Huttball where sprint is probably the most useful skill they could have. Makes running from node to node backing people up that much easier and catching up to the ball carrier that we bit easier.
  5. On my server the Imp completely out number the Pubes BUT in WZ the Imps are so retarded. Most of the time is spent fighting between each other and the rest of the time everyones just trying to go for kills, doesnt work together, runs in to a group solo etc etc. sadly I am Imp but if they brought out faction change I would be first in line for that shiz. Its like someone gave a group of special needs kids potato guns and sticks and told them what direction they should run in.
  6. Also looks like the ongoing offence/defence posts about BH/Commando. In the end everyone will feel the sting of the bat until the classes are so broken that everyone stops playing then the game will go free to play and the cycle will start again
  7. ^QFT Most sorc/sage damage, while plentiful from DoTs and force lightning etc, isnt that meaningful.... I cant really put into words what I mean by that because I've had to much to drink lol. I roll hybrid spec and must say I LOVE instant chain lightning MWHAHAHA:D
  8. I dont think any class need a nerf as such. Maybe some minor adjustment but not enough to call them nerfed. In saying that BioWare WILL nerf BH/Com and then it will be the Sorc/Sages that get hit for a homerun by the nerf bat..... After that they will find out that Jugs/Guards and PT/Van are dominating because of the nerfs to the other classes so they will nerf them too! Then the cycle starts all over again
  9. DAoC was probably some of the best PvP I have ever had outside a first person shooter! And as for LOTRO PvP.... It was pretty good. May be a bit stale after years of the same thing but its still fun. I think of LOTRO as fun PvP, not SUPER competitive, just a nice experience. Also the 50 Vs 50 raids were FUN. IMO it was the community on my server that made my experience what it was In saying that this is >>>MY<<< opinion so trying to degrade me because I have different taste in games than you is a bit unfair
  10. In that screenie 4/8 look to be Assassins.... just saying Ya'll think thats bad....... Try a group of 6 Commandos 2 Sages. I actually couldn't stop laughing at how fast they rolled us! Wish I had a screenshot for that
  11. 1. DAoC 2. Warhammer And 3rd I would probably say LOTRO..... yes, I know that sounds odd but I really enjoy it
  12. I'm going to be honest. I f I didn't roll other toons after I got my main to 50 and gears then I would of left the game by now. You are spot on that PvP end-game is seriously lacking. Granted its a new game a should cut it some slack but as it stands there is no point to PvP. If there was some good open world PvP it would be finw but as it stands (on my server anyway) Ilum is just zerg Vs zerg with no fun PvP to be had. Go to Ilum > join zerg > get daily done > leave > sit in Fleet while waiting for Warzones. As for the thing about rolling other toons. I personally always do it so I can know other classes strengths a weaknesses and experience how they are best played so I know what I should do to counter it and how best to play my main. However I only have a mind for PvP.... Raiding/instances dont really do it for me so everything I do is for the sake of PvP. Which by now I should know that I have to learn to love PvE and do endgame raids in SWTOR because endgame PvP sucks and isn't enough to keep me really. So I say "yes" in your downtime or if your feeling bored just roll an alt and hope it keeps you occupied till more PvP content comes out. Plus the story in this game is great to experience from different classes PoV even though I dont really get into all that much
