  1. I experienced this while questing last night as well. It seems to affect things that are at the furthest away view distance. As I ran forward, things that were hazy would pop back to being properly filtered. http://i.imgur.com/dg1Q9L9.jpg
  2. * Non-trivial PVE gear progression * New story, dailies, HM flashpoints and a drive to do them with guildies * Some new toys on my Shield Tech (Shoulder Cannon, Hydraulic Overrides) * Shield and Defense works through Guard, Shield works on more attacks * Achievements * Class balance - not that I expect it to be perfect as it is a never-ending challenge, but we have been in a holding pattern since 1.4 with (assumed) development resources going towards 2.0
  3. I'm OK with it being easier to get with 55. There will always be new and progressive challenges/titles for dedicated groups.
  4. On live, there are groups of Codex entries that are prefaced with "Achievement". You got a title and a Codex entry.
  5. I haven't seen anything that indicates that the reputation vendor or items on it will go away. http://www.swtor.com/blog/developer-blog-cartel-reputation This mentions embargoing items, but I think it is in reference to the packs, stuff from the packs, and the reputation versions of items from older packs on the vendor that you can buy with Cartel Market certificates.
  6. It's probably no more rare as far as coded drop rate goes than the Enforcer title, but very few Regulator packs get opened vs the Enforcer packs, because the Enforcer packs offer better value. The people in guild that cared about it and myself (completionist collectors) were able to acquire it, but had to pay completely exorbitant prices. I posted feedback in the suggestions forum that future shipments not have unique items in the small "mini" pack. Having a single chase item in there is a poor situation.
  7. It would be probably pretty hard to implement, but making the looks of speeders customizable would be awesome if only for the fact that many of them clip terribly through many gear looks.
  8. The CE / Deluxe STAP was changed to be Adaptive. I use it on my alts. The Refer-a-Friend speeder is 110% base speed though (regardless of speed piloting level).
  9. I wouldn't mind a new tier of speed, but I'd prefer if they focused on making all existing mounts adaptive and have the same knockoff protection.
  10. Expertise only works against other players, so it is useless in PVE. It doesn't make you weaker (like a debuff), but you want PVE gear for PVE and PVP gear for PVP. Every item has an item level that controls how much of various stats can be on it. It can be confusing, but as an example, Campaign gear has the following properties: 61 Level (I'll use this number for comparison below) 146 Rating "26 Mods" (This is the identifier for mods - for example, you might have a Bulwark Enhancement 26 in the gear) On live (1.7), Expertise is part of the item budget for its item level. For example, War Hero (PvP) and Campaign (PVE) gear are both item 61 level gear. The War Hero gear has Expertise on it, while the Campaign does not, but the War Hero gear has less of other stats (primary stat, Endurance, etc) than Campaign, so it is worse than Campaign for PVE. When 2.0 hits with the new PVP gear, they are changing this to make the PVE effectiveness of an item much easier to determine. Expertise will not be part of the item budget, but the available PVP gear will still be poor for PVE because it will be a lower item level. For example, Partisan (PVP) and Dread Guard (PVE) gear are both item 63 level gear. The Partisan gear has Expertise on it, but the same amount of the other stats as Dread Guard. The two gear sets are of the same power in PVE, and the Partisan gear is much more powerful in PVP due to the large amount of Expertise on it. However, the highest available PVE gear is level 72, while the highest available PVP gear is level 65. The Expertise on the PvP gear makes the 65 PvP gear better than the 72 PVE gear when fighting other players, but it is several levels behind the PVE gear for PVE. The net result in 2.0 is the same (you want PVE gear for PVE, PVP gear for PVP), but it is much clearer how good PVP gear is for PVE when compared to gear without Expertise.
  11. I would suggest not putting unique items in the low end pack. The Regulator title appear to only drop in the Regulator pack, which means it is incredibly rare since Regulator packs do not offer good value / return, so not very many people open them. Alternatively (or in addition to), please put the Regulator title (or future "mini-pack" titles) on the reputation vendor for Cartel Certificates.
  12. It exists. I've seen it on the GTN. I think it only drops from the Regulator packs, which are being opened in substantially lesser quantities as Enforcer packs. Its scarcity makes me sad.
  13. I was far luckier with my packs as far as certificates go, but I don't particularly like that the certs are completely RNG, bound, and can offer unique rewards from the rep vendor. The "previous pack" items seem to be a decent implementation for continuing to offer items for old packs after removal (such as Revan's Mask, etc). The rep is manageable, as it is reliably obtained (with the blue or purple rep items being a nice bonus), but I can see how obtaining an Aratech Eclipse or Crown of Avarice can be extremely painful with bad RNG.
  14. There are not enough capital letters or exclamation points.
  15. Well, it exists. A guildie just bought one off the GTN for several million.
  16. Thank your for the official response, and a good solution.
  17. Has anyone gotten the "Title - Regulator" item? If so, how? It is listed as existing in the blog post here: http://www.swtor.com/info/news/blog/20130313-0 I have yet to see this (nor have anyone in my guild who have opened a large number of Enforcer packs), and my concern is that it may be unique to the Regulator mini-pack.
  18. Thank you for the official response.
  19. A lot of people in this thread are missing the point. There are game mechanics in place to avoid powerleveling through "XP farming". If you are grouped with someone that is much higher level than you, the XP gain is nerfed. Ilum's bolster mechanics is allowing players to bypass the above protection and receive XP based on their Bolstered level, not their actual level. (This is likely an unintended consequence of the desire to let level 45-50s enjoy the event together.) The nature of the pylon quest allows players to repeatedly spawn waves of mobs in the same location, which can be killed for XP for the whole group. Low-level characters are too low to actually receive the quest, but they are racking up experience from the mob kills. This is also achievable in a full 24-man Ops group, with 20+ of them AFK while 2 or so players actually kill the mobs. The Double XP weekend multiplies the gains from doing this. This seems broken. The only limiting factor on the moment is contention over pylons in all instances of Ilum, and there is a very large amount of players exploiting the system to powerlevel alts. Suggestions: Nerf XP to the mobs that spawn from the pylon. Deny access to the bolstered area for characters under level 45. Make XP rewards scale off of your actual level, not your bolstered level. (This will impact level 45s grouping with 50s, but oh well). If all else fails, deactivate the event or quest, until a fix can be deployed. I really hope there is an emergency patch tonight to fix this.
  20. Need For Speed World is a F2P game. (N4-SW Runner) Battlefield Play4Free is a F2P game. (BF-4F Warrior) Hypothesis: Register and try out both games and see it results in FREE PETS. Any other EA F2P games that could be part of a promotion that is not quite announced yet? http://www.ea.com/1/play-free-games
  21. They could give them to loyal subscribers too. ;P
  22. As someone who collects every pet (even promotional ones and simple reskins) and has been playing since Early Access, I'm really hoping these reskins are somehow available to existing subscribers.
  23. Is the Regulator title only available in the Regulator packs? I haven't seen people get it, or on the GTN. If it is, s this the only unique item in the "minor" pack? Is it intended that the Regulator pack has an item unavailable in the Enforcer pack?
  24. I'm not sure if it was in doubt, but the EU codes definitely work on US accounts. I haven't seen the US cards yet.
  25. Please consider changing the Imperial Trooper and Republic Trooper gear on the Collectors Edition vendor to Bind on Legacy. If it is undesirable to have one faction's looks on the other, it can adapt to the other faction's look through mail (like many other items in the game already do).
