  1. Is anyone else still experiencing extremely low drop rates for Galactic Seasons reputation currency? I've played for probably 5 hours with PH4-LNX now and only received 1 GAME Analysis Module. That really doesn't seem better.
  2. I can attest that this bug still exists. If that holographic weapon tuning is added, the problem can be easily seen.
  3. That looks exactly like what I posted several days ago and sent to Support. They have obviously made no progress on it if they are still asking for the same information. smh. This is getting really frustrating after more than a month of intermittent interrupted play, no answers, and no compensation for lost subscription time.

Doing a packet capture during one of these install runs, I see that the web server is sending back a HTTP 403 error every time right before I get the Host_WindowLoadTimeout error.   5. I'm still in the same position also. Given the silence from customer support and @JackieKo, I think we are on our own. Their silence on this matter speaks volumes.
  6. I think we need to start facing the fact that we are their acceptable margin of error in this new launcher. This has happened to me twice in the last month. I follow the process and emailed customer support. I sent my logs and tried new executables. I’ve done all of this multiple times, all the while receiving no response and no compensation at all. It was a good 10 years, but I think it might finally be over. 😞
  7. Just to be clear, I also tried installing via Steam and the regular launcher and both crash with Host_WindowLoadTimeout. So none of the solutions work for me.
  8. So once again I have been "chosen". I'm getting the exact same thing. The launcher crashes with "Host_WindowLoadTimeout". It looks like this time I'm completely out of luck and nothing will fix it. Last month when I got screwed for a week, reinstalling fixed it. This time nothing works. I downloaded the new installer listed in this thread, I tried reinstalling, I tried restoring from backup. Nothing works. I'm really beginning to feel like this broken minority is an acceptable loss to you and we will never be fixed. No reparations or compensation have been made or even discussed. I receive no response from customer support after numerous email in the last month. It has been a month since the last time I was chosen and had to spend a full week troubleshooting and reinstalling rather than playing. I'm just really disappointed that this is how paying subscribers are treated.
  9. I am finally back up and running. I wiped the whole game and re-installed. The launcher patched about 4 times, I think. I didn't expect it so many times, so I wasn't really counting. I restored my client settings, UI, and key bindings from a backup. I think everything seems about the same, maybe slightly slower, but I may have missed a graphics tweak that I previously had. I don't see any change in the launcher speed or behavior. So now I've got a few days to kill pirates at least. I really would prefer to avoid this experience again.
  10. It's a little late for this now. I've lost this entire week of playing. I haven't been able to participate in the event this week. I look forward to playing for an hour after a long day at work to relieve some stress, not to add to it. This experiment has cost me numerous hours this week, for which I also have the privilege I paying for as a subscriber. Before you had posted, I had already deleted everything in an attempt to install fresh and get it working again. I have a partition that is dedicated for this game, so it wasn't too much loss, but it has been a considerable amount of time. I just really hope that you have plans to make this right with your subscribers so that EA/Bioware doesn't walk away from this event with an even bigger black eye and having learned nothing. And yes, I am still not working yet.
  11. I decided to restore from a backup from before this little experiment. Now the launcher works, I can login, the game launches with the splash screen, but then crashes with "This program encountered an internal error and will exit. Error code: C5. Failed to load game assets. Please contact customer support." When is this going to be fixed? And when will I be compensated for loss of a paid service?   12. Nope, still not fixed. Launcher will still not run. So as a paid subscriber, will I receive credit for you choosing to kill my game without my knowledge or permission? How do I fix this? Do I need to reinstall the game?? You need to revert all changes and publish a fix for your subscribers. How do you not understand this yet?
  13. Well I guess I'm not playing today, even though I have been a paying subscriber for 10 years. This really sucks. How did I get selected to be a test subject? This is thoroughly unacceptable. If I randomly selected customers to disrupt their service without telling them in my job, I would be fired. How was this random selection process approved by management?? You knew this was a test period and there could be problems. Hopefully this is an all-hands-on-deck situation for you and it will be fixed soon. When my job has customers out of service, no one leaves until service is restored or a root cause and fix have been identified. I hope you will act with the same level of professionalism. In the meantime I will send my logs to support as instructed.

  15. Ah, ok. Thanks. That makes sense, but the numbers still don't work out. I need to turn off Combat Technique next time I am in-game and see what the base damage is and also review the logs to see if there is any clue there.
