  1. What about the crafting items that have different names, but the same stats in the same armor type? I noticed in synthweaving, there is some light armor items that are just like that.
  2. I totally agree with Blackardin. I believe that Bioware is working as fast as they can. I can't believe that all these people are going through it so fast. I been playing since Feb. and only have one lvl fifty and my three other toons are not even half way there. If you have gone through all the classes, lvl'd all of your crafting, and maxed out your gear for pve and pvp, well then it's time for you get off the computer and go to that wonderful place they call "outside". There are eight storylines to go through, not just one. If all you've done is one and expect Bioware to come out with more stuff for you do past 50 for your one toon, then your crazy to think they are going to try to keep up with you. There are plenty of people that dabble in a little of all the content and not streamline themselves through one toon, then run all the FP's and ops, then go "I want more"! I guess there are people out there that live and breath this game to the point that once they're done, they just don't know what to do with themselves. Then they get on here to complain about the lack of content. I say there is plenty for now, but that is my opinion. I like this game, I'm a starwars fan, and I will continue to play it through all the bugs and glitches, because I know that no one can release a perfect game. Eight months people, give'em a break. You know sometimes I believe that there has to be a perfect balance between listening to the customer and doing what is right for the game. All this stuff that people want can't be done over night or at all. It has to be reviewed and tested. Eight months, c'mon, do you really think that Bioware is going to catch up with WoW or any other game that has been out there for years. Seriously. Play the game, have fun, and get some of that bright orange stuff they call "Sun".
  3. What are you talking about? Where did I say I don't care about loot? Where did I say lower the chance of getting loot? Do you have reading comprehension?
  4. Really...Really? Did you just quote my reply, then gut it to make it seem I was talking about something I wasn't. I was saying that I don't like the need option and that everyone could use an item in some way, so if you don't get it with greed, then oh well. Not sure what you were getting at by your reply. This was my whole reply: There is way too much discussion on this topic. I don't like the loot options at all. There is way too much trust factor on whether a person in your group actually needs an item or you don't. I have seen people "need" when clearly they are not needing for their current character. I just say get rid of it completely and go to a random lottery loot sytem where the player has no say at all. The computer generates a random roll for everyone and you either get an item or not. There shouldn't be this much thought going into this at all. I'm really tired of going through the flashpoint and trying to read what people are choosing for their loot option and trying to read for someone asking for need. I really don't care if you need it or not. We all could use an item for something (GTN, companion, another toon, etc). If you don't get an item you want, rerun the FP until you get it. If you don't want to work for it, then move on.
  5. I'm not "bummed" that I lost a roll. I don't think it's fair that you lose a roll to a person that has the upperhand by choosing need over greed. We might as well all choose need then we are all on level playing fields. I also don't think you read my post or you don't understand what I was saying. I was saying that everyone should have an equal chance at getting loot. Noone should have an advantage. I don't get "bummed" losing fair and square. I get "pissed" when I choose greed and someone clearly doesn't need an item and chooses need.

  7. Yeah, making housing on a planet with a population does make sense. You have to go there anyways.
  8. I do like the idea of player housing. I played FFXI and it is nice to customize you're pad. Then you could invite your friends in. Which in turn leads to either a reason to loot so you can buy more stuff and maybe incorporate customization items into crafing. Now I don't know about it being your ship though. It could work, but I would like a blank canvas to work with. Your ship is kinda busy as it is. Another idea, but would take alot of work on bioware's part, build a planet just for housing and you could buy an apartment, maybe upgrade later to something bigger who knows. It would be an alternate place for people to meet instead of the fleet. The fleet would be more for FP's, OPS, and Missions. You could even have a battle arena for ranked pvp. People could watch and put down bets. One on One or group battles. Sounds stupid, but just thinking about the social aspect that is missing.
  9. You got a point. Once you hit lvl 50, the green items are pretty much worthless. You would think at that point, they would drop either more higher lvl mods, proto gear and higher, or more money. Of course I think the drop rate on gear is a little high across the board if you ask me. Almost not a real reason to craft. I went to fifty without crafting or buying anything from the GTN. Maybe that is why the GTN nver has anything up for sell. I would think they would make you work harder for drops. I actually don't mind looting for items that don't drop as often if I know when they drop, they are good for something. I find it a little exciting when I see the mobs drop light turn dark blue or purple. Most drops are only good for one thing and that is selling back to npc vendors. Maybe all this other loot is fodder and we're supposed to sell it and we're supposed to be killing more mobs. They might drop more high end items, we just ain't killing enough. Who knows?
  10. I do agree, there is a lot of quests to do (not complaining though). If you do all the quests on a planet, you usually find yourself well prepared for the next planet, but I do think there should be more open quests for everybody. Something that may not have to do with the main storyline of that planet. All the quests seem tied into each other in someway, but quests outside the norm. Something that doesn't really have to do with anything. Like a npc asking you to retreive an item or killing someone or something, but then it is not marked on the map. A npc that is not mark themselves, yeah that's it. Something I have to go looking for. Most quests are guided. I know that speeds things up, but maybe just a little too much. Give me something I have to think about. Like a puzzle. Maybe the item the npc requests is not obtainable until i do another quest for someone else, but I don't know that right away. I might have to talk to a few npc's to find out. I have to ask the right questions or give the right answers. Make me work for it, not by strength or willpower, but with my brain. I think if people had more quests like that, they wouldn't get so bored after getting a character to 50 in a week or two.
  11. I'm still a newb at this game even with a lvl 50 character, but I would like to see something like final fantasy xi had with each class, specific armor that had a quest for each piece. It was available at different lvls. A piece at 30, 40, & so on. The quests were class specific, but other classes could help. Do they have something like this already in place. I don't mean pvp gear, I've seen that. I find that too easy and i'm mean by that is you just a have to play till you get enough comms. I would like something that if you're not into pvp, you could still get some really good armor that when you stack, give you nice stats and some cool benifits.
  12. Oh you're right, people will never be satisified. Everyone wants something for free or feel they are entitled to something. I've been playing since Feb. and despite a few bugs, I love this game. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and look foward to playing this game everyday, even if it's for a couple of hours. A lot of people that have something they don't like about the game threaten to quit, well quit. I would rather have low server population that have the dev's try to accomodate every little thing that someone doesn't like about the game. Sure if you have a bug, you hope they will fix it, but eveyone has different playing styles and they can't change everything to apease every single person. Another thing that bothers me is that people complain about stuff that seems like it's more of a computer issue or operator error. Don't blame bioware for you're personal problems. And one more thing, If you play through all the content in three months with every character, then you might want to find something else to do. It's not bioware problem if you don't have a life. Get some sun or read a book.
