  1. Haha this is brilliant! first I was afraid that you were referring to an item giving you an unfair advantage by being unlimited uses or something similar, but when I saw the picture I laughed and would love seeing this in the game! Although, I have a hard time seeing how you could summon and kill the Taun Tauns on a Space Station far from Hoth ;-) But a big +1 from here, I'd love seeing this in the game
  2. I see what you mean but don't really see a problem here. People who have a Subscription (P2P) have chosen to pay a fixed amount instead of having to pay small amounts to unlock bits and pieces of the game. See it as a "package deal" where your subscription gives you far better deals on unlocks and, since you are a paying subscriber, you also get certain advantages over people who do not pay or only pay very little compared to you. F2P people have the option to pay a lot more than your monthly subscription to get pretty much the save advantages and unlocks. They too can buy items from the market and sell them in the game. But since P2P people pay every month, it's only fair to give them some advantages. Nothing prevents you from buying cartel points every month, or even every day if you prefer. You just end up paying more than with a subscription and can select to pay that one instead, and get a fixed amount of coins every month. As P2P we do pay for our Cartel Coins, it's part of our subscrition. We don't get massive amounts and can, like F2P, add more coins by paying with real money. Therefore I don't really see how P2P get any advantages over F2P other than a better package deal, which can always be discussed depending on how many characters and alts you choose to play.
  3. As much as I'd love more Story in the game, I just don't believe we'll see it. He probably may be coming back to be a voice actor of Imperial Guard #2242 on Makeb or some minor quest giver, I don't think he'll come back to added Story for our characters. If Bioware were planning to expand it now, they'd annonce it like they announce everything 2 years in advance and then change their promises many times underway. When Bioware confirmed there would be no more class stories, I left the game for a long time and just recently came back to play some of the classes I hadn't played before. As soon as I hit 50 (55 possibly), I may lose interest very quickly again as it's the story that drives the game for me. So as much as I'd wish and hope for BW to expand the class stories, I just don't believe it until I read it in a patch message
  4. I find the looks of the Republic Fleet very fitting. The Empire is a huge established force with plenty of money from their conquered species and planets, easily enabling them to maintain a fancy Space Station. The Republics, however, are struggling with raising support against the Sith Empire. People are afraid of openly supporting them, as they fear the Empire. Thus the Republic is having a much harder time than the Empire to raise fundings for the Fleet and Space Station.
  5. You can already do this while onboard your ship, but I would love to see this feature when you are not on the ship as well. In addition to this, it would (in my opinion) be great if the selected companion would also display as the comparative tool tip when you mouse over an item. For instance, if you have an STR based tank companion, the items compare with this companion. If you then select another companion (not summoning the companion), then the tip could compare with this companion instead.
  6. As much as I'd love this as well, I highly doubt we'd see anything like this. Keep in mind that Anakin Skywalker isn't born in another 3000 or so years. And, unlike that other Trek Universe that we must not speak of, Time Travelling into the Future really isn't an option here But they could evolve the game in Real Time so that we'd see the birth of Anakin in the year 5012 ;-)
  7. When you mouse-over an item and see that it's an upgrade to a Companion, it would be great if there was a quick way of equipping the item, just like you normally right-click to equip it yourself. Yes, opening the character sheet window and selecting the companion isn't really a big deal, but if you could bind a modifier key (i.e. ALT) and then ALT + Right-click the item, it would be one of those little things that didn't seem all that important but would help the overall game feel even smoother
  8. Of course you can never make certain that some people won't abuse it by clicking NEED over COMPANION NEED, but it does present an option to honest players who respect the personal need over a companions need. Granted, some players would continously hit the NEED button as I have unfortunately on many occations seen people do in groups today, regardless of them needing the item or not. But for that I can see no solution other than to report them for abuse. It was merely a suggestion for people who respect a player's need over the companions, but would like to hit need for a companion. With the proper legacy binds, it would ensure that people could not hit need and sell it on the Trade Network.
  9. I love the idea of having Need and Greed when rolling for loot in groups. But some people unfortunately hit the Need button for their companions, even if other group members need the items for themselves. The argument is always that it's gear for yourself and your companion, so I guess there is no right and wrong whether you need it or not. What I would love to see, is a new option where you get NEED, COMPANION, GREED (and DISASSEMBLE). Win Order: NEED: If you need the item for yourself (Possibly Legacy Bind since you only should hit NEED when you actually are going to equip or use the item, not for trading it to friends or selling on the Trade Network) COMPANION: If you need it for a companion (could Legacy Bind so you can use it for alts but not just click the button to trade it on the Galactic Trade Network) GREED and DISASSEMBLE: If you don't need it or want to disassemble for tradeskill resources It's not perfect but neither are the options we have today since people can still abuse it by needing on everything (which not only applies to this game but pretty much any mmo I suppose).
  10. If I could play the game, I'd give it a rather high score. But with the queues limiting me to not playing, I'll be generous and give it 1/10 for the pretty login screen.
  11. Playing is a lie, there are only queues. Through queueing I gain upset. Through upset I gain anger. Through anger I get furious. Through fury my heart is broken. The unsubscribe shall free me.
  12. Normally I hate seeing them names being so unimaginative (Darkvader, Bobabob, Obihave etc.) but this one made me giggle. I really like this one
  13. Hours of waiting in a queue is NOT acceptable since we actually paid for this product and are expected to pay a monthly fee.
  14. So far I have enjoyed the game and have found it to run very smooth with virtually no bugs. Of course there have been minor issues, some may be bugs and others may just be me being used to other MMO Games :-) But the Server Queues... that's killing my game play. Playing on EU Servers, I can easily log on during morning and during the day. But trying to get on in the evening, especially later in the evening, is met with a long queue. Often for so long that I end up playing something else. Since this game isn't out yet, I can't really complain about it as we have yet to see how the Launch goes and if the queues disappear after launch. However, there is another problem that has been the result of being queued. When I got access on December 14th, I jumped onto our "designated server" where our Guild had been created. It all went well and a couple of hours later I had reached level 10 and had a lot of fun. The following day, my girlfriend and a common friend both get access but are unable to join the server due to a large queue for 1+ hour. So they start playing on another server. Another friend had the same problem and ended up on a 3rd Server, causing us all to play on different Servers. Neither of us wants to reroll our characters and start all over again, wasting the time we alredy spent. But as it is now, we can't play together as the queues forced us onto other servers where we have now leveled up our characters. Therefore I would be VERY happy if we were offered a free Character Transfer so we could all agree on a Server and finally be together as a guild and group of friends. We all bought the game to play it together, but now we end up playing alone. Please grant us a free Server Transfer so we can once more fight side-by-side. I am not going to pull the "If we can't play, we quit!" cards or anything as drastic, but in the long run I am sure it may affect how much and for how long we decide to play. Being an avid SW fan myself, I expect to subscribe for a long time, planning to get several characters to level 50. But it's not nearly as much fun when you can't share the adventures with your real-life friends. Although I am no fan of micro transactions since I already pay to play per month, I wouldn't mind paying for those extra services like server transferring. Heck, I'll even consider to pay a fair amount of money to transfer my level 22 character to another server if that is what it takes. P.s. Don't give me the "just reroll and stop QQ'ing" since we have all spent quite some time already getting where we are now, and we don't want to do it all over again :-)
