I dont really care for the prequels at all. RoTS might not be the worst of them but still its pretty bad. For one, the audience never really connects with Anakin. Lucas made the prequels to be a character story about Anakin Skywalker but we miss out on the most important parts of his life like his Jedi training and his relationship with Obi-wan. Everything is just slightly mentioned and we just have to assume thats what happened. Obi-wan spoke very highly of Anakin Skywalker calling him a "Good friend" and a wise and powerful jedi. But instead it seems like Anakin was just some punk that kills kids, complains and pisses off Obi most of the time. Doesn't really seem like "Good Friend" material. The whole entire fight scene at the end was just boring because we dont care for the characters. The scene lasted 30 mins to long and the CGI was just overkill. Obi-wan ultimately won because he "Had the high ground", but what happened when Darth maul had the high ground? but thats just me i guess.

How did CGI ruin the Original Trilogy?

I'm not saying the OT are perfect films but they are way better than the prequels. I mean what other movies have had such a cultural impact on the world? Its only natural that the public would expect something equal to if not greater than the originals. The problem I have is that Lucas sacrificed story for over the top CGI. Look at videos of him filming the prequels, he just sits in a room filled with blue/green screens with only two cameras. Im sorry, it just takes me out of a movie when 90% of it looks fake and every dialogue scene had somebody walking down a hallway or looking out a window. If you honestly think the dialogue, acting and story are on par with the originals then I respectfully disagree.

Did that guy just watch episode 4 with a blank stare, mouth open and the sound off?

Well Lucas did have a lot of help in creating the original trilogy from so many people. He didn't even direct episode 5 or 6. So my theory seems entirely feasible. But then George ruined everything with the prequels because he had 100% control over the films.

I thought I was the only one! I usually get home from work at 11pm PST so i dont have a lot of time to play on scheduled maintenance days. Like stated before, its frustrating when there is another day or two added on short notice. I would much rather have the maintenance just pushed back only one hour, I think two hours should be a decent amount of play time.

I'll wait until Episode 4.....

I like to think Lucas had nothing to do with or had very little input in creating Boba Fett and then ended up completely screwing it up like he did with everything else in Star Wars. I never much cared for Jango Fett.

Blame Lucas for making a crappy storyline like he does with most of his movies. Dont blame the awesome Boba!

This game is a month old... They just released new level 50 Flashpoints. Im sure a lot more will come.

I quit WoW close to about a year ago after playing since BC. I played a few months of Cata and just stopped having fun, plus most of my friends moved on to other games. I dabbled in a few other MMOs that were free to play like Allods and Hellgate but they quickly got boring. After the announcement of the Panda expansion I knew that I was not coming back to WoW. I get weeks free from blizz from time to time but I usually play for about a day or so then forget about it.

I'm 23 Usually play 2-3 hours after work on weekdays but its usually from midnight-3am pst, so i get screwed by the weekly maintenance and I try to play as much as i can during the weekends if i dont have plans.

The main problem i have with the ligthsabers in the prequels was that they were overused. Just about everyone had a damn lightsaber, even the kids. In the original movies Luke barely used his and when he did you knew he meant business. The limitations made it awesome. IMO the lightsaber battles in the OT have more meaning and emotion than any other duel in the new movies. The yoda fight is just silly and hard to watch for me. Yoda is supposed to be a wise and powerful jedi master, but seeing him jump around the room and throw his baby sized saber into a clone trooper is just horrible.

Obi-wan had the high ground in episode 3 but what about when Darth Maul had the high ground in episode 1? He learned to just swing up i guess?

... I'll wait until episode 4 comes out in 3D.

Hopefully Lucas will release the original versions of the film on blu-ray, Im not wasting money on that remastered crap.

One of the main reasons (to me anyways) that the prequels sucked so bad was the lack of effort or motivation Lucas had creating them. Go look up videos of George Lucas while hes filming the movies, all he did was sit on his fat *** surrounded by monitors and green/blue screens sipping coffee. He relied on CG way too much rather than actual story. The Episode 3 lightsaber fight between Obi and Anakin was way too long and drawn out and at the end of it did anyone even care? Also the over use of lightsabers! Luke barely used his lightsaber and when he did use it you knew he meant business. The prequels would have been so much better if Lucas went out on various locations, used props and models, real explosions, etc...

Thanks to Red Letter Media I dont even consider the prequels part of the Star Wars Universe anymore. Everything that was stated in those reviews are %100 truth. To me, the only reason those movies were even made was to bulk up George Lucas' bank account. .... Look what he did with Indiana Jones.
