You mean you didn't see Anakin's eyes? Anyway the corruption is mostly a game mechanic to allow dark siders to look awesomely evil (for lack of a better phrase). There's no hard written law for it, but hell it's fun to see in action so why not?

I personally despise most of the expanded universe however there are some good books out there. Anything by Timothy Zahn is good. Shadows of the Empire is a competant filler between Ep V and Ep VI. The first book of the Bane trilogy is excellent. Avoid Kevin J Anderson like the plague. Everything by him reads like a decievingly well written fan fic. This is common amongst SW books but Anderson is the most well known writer of the series to do this (to me at least).

As a Republic player I've won in warzones far more than I've lost. I honestly don't know what all the whining is about.

Hit stealth and aim for sorcs and snipers. Shadows/assassins are anti-nukers. You may not have the highest dps, especially when in a tanking spec, but you'd be far more valuable to the team this way.

That's why us squishies tend to stay back, preferably behind walls.

Which is absolutely fair. If the CC-removal ability had the same CD as all stuns then that would completely remove the usefullness of it in PvP. That's a fair point, but the more a team actually works together the less useful the focus fire tactic becomes. My team once tried this on a bounty hunter who had lots of support with shields/heals. I was just left facepalming as the group got obliterated by the DPS while this bounty hunter was still standing. Of course the CC abilities aren't perfect but it's early days. I'm sure we'll have a lot of tweaks come through with the PvP update.

Have you completely forgotten that every character upon reaching level 10 gets a skill that allows him to shake off CCs?
