  1. Odd MZ-12 doesn't look like an imperial astromech droid looks more like a pub or hutt astromech. I wish he looked like an X2-C3 Imperial astromech now those are nice looking astromechs.
  2. This insidious vile attack on morality must not go unpunished! Life day is proof that the Republic is the lowest of amoral degenerates!
  3. I wouldn't mind strike foils serving a purpose like in Rogue squadron....they don't even open to attack position in game.
  4. Well according to Dulfy.net unless it's inaccurate or outdated info. It says 15 Tauntaun Domestication Data (subscribers only) , I assume that means they can't use the lures or maybe it means they can't trade the Data in either way my point still stands.
  5. Just saying you're not going to die instantly without either but both are nice to have all the same.
  6. Well actually F2P players can't access the tauntaun lures so they have to earn over a million credits and subscribers have the monthly fee which I consider part of the package deal so it's not exactly free. Granted the analogy could have been better but then again people were referencing cars too so hey why not. The company is about as much at fault as a phone company that charges extremely high service rates. I can assure you most of those phone companies are trying to squeeze every last dime they can out of their customers. Is Bioware...well I wouldn't exactly say that given there's a lot of hidden players to be considered that want their piece of the swtor pie too. I think the hidden investors/companies pulling the strings are more to blame than Bioware per say. Not to say I'm out for blood but I'm just saying it doesn't look like they have the customers best interest's at heart. It's not a physical item true but it is a product that requires production time. When the costs heavily out weigh the effort involved to make it then I tend to call that a rip off.
  7. I was referencing personal use not global use. Not too many people complain the price of gas is hyping up food prices , they're usually more direct and just say food is too expensive in that case. Also I said we don't necessarily need it , I used necessarily because obviously it's not an all encompassing situation.
  8. You don't need it take a bus , ride a bike , walk. Driving is a standard of living that we expect in western society but it's not necessarily something we need but I digress. As an example of my thoughts on this I doubt few of us wouldn't say a company was ripping off it's customers if they sold a black gaming console for 150 dollar but sold the exact same gaming console with the only difference being white for 350 dollars.
  9. That depends on how you look at it. If it was more affordable it would be available to a greater percentage of players. Which would mean more sales for bioware evening out the price difference so it's win win. I would think a greater percentage of pleased players would be better than catering to a few bling snobs. I'm not deciding anything I'm voicing my opinion which I'm entitled too just as anyone else is. Really? Are you so certain of that I think you're insinuating a lot given you don't know what my motivation is. No one is forcing people to over pay on gas either but people are still going to complain when prices get out of hand.
  10. *Shrugs* I call it how I see it. If it looks like a rip off then I'll say it. Unlike some people I'm not going to blindly defend bioware out of zealous fanaticism. If there's something I think is amiss then I'll say so in hopes that changes maybe implemented for the good of everyone.
  11. I don't know why people are comparing family cars to sports cars there's a considerable difference between those types of cars hence the price difference. A better analogy would be you could buy a red car for 20000 dollars but for 300000 dollars they'll repaint it blue for you.
  12. If it was a new model like maybe a rideable Rancor that would be acceptable , I'd buy that in a heart beat but a texture colour swap that probably took a minute tops to make in my opinion is just a rip off plain and simple.
  13. Yeah this is crazy one might get the impression the company has a total disconnect to what a reasonable price is , what next 3K for a different coloured Tauntaun...oh wait.........
  14. I don't know I was rather disappointed in the ending.
  15. If mounts were speeders then when you collided with something your mount would explode and you'd be dead.
  16. Well it could be a hanger if they have fighter hanger racks like they did in the galactic empire era.
  17. That's not entirely true they looks like something in star wars, they look like a republic/empire walker hull.....with wings.
  18. I bet they've only sold like three of these from the entire swtor population. I mean you have to be really addicted or pretty dumb to pay 30 dollars for a mount that's nothing more than a colour change of a mount you can get for free.
  19. Psttt designers you keep putting ships in with strike foils but they're always locked in the closed position when actually playing the game. This happened with the Fury and now it's happening with the S-12 Blackbolt just a suggestion but you might want to fix this so ships look right while in combat.
  20. I just hope they don't do something stupid down the road like let Republic fly Empire ships it's already bad enough that they allow opposite faction to wear the other teams gear.>.>
  21. For the next expansion add a ground based walker version of this.
  22. Well I think the biggest problem is a lot of the heavy armoured classes can do equal or more dps than the actual light/medium classes while having no mobility problems. Such as Jedi knights/sith warriors flying half way across the screen or troopers/bounty hunters with their ranged attacks , leaving the squishy classes very little room to maneuver. This really hurts the operative because pretty much for all intents and purposes it has a poor mans rage system in place which requires a player to go toe to toe with tanks to use most of their abilities. That said I wouldn't suggest going back to the builds of super stealth and instant dps death that really ruined the game for everyone else. I would though suggest for lethality that tactical Advantage be earned from ranged attacks not close combat abilities. While concealment be given a self armor buff that puts them on par with tanks because that's basically what's being asked of a concealment operative to go in close and tank.
  23. I think Sorcerers really need to be able to summon a pet/pets to provide a bit of a meat shield. It makes sense lore wise plus it's almost a necessity given they have the weakest armor in the game , are easily focused down and don't do enough damage to compete 1 on 1 with anyone. If they could summon a Tuk’ata or maybe a juvenile Rancor then sorcerers could dance around the pet and possibly actually win some matches without having to rely on other players to save their rears from a smack down.
  24. The problem I have with that is both the Republic , Jedi and Imperial troops are referred to as crazed and their faction title while the Dread Host aren't which kind of suggests they are autonomous. Also the vendor reward gives Dread Host gear implying it's the the Dread armies official uniform. Unless the Dread host are brainwashed while the crazed are just troops that have gone mad. Which I suppose could explain the Dread slavers with the dread host since then they'd be out to get more slaves to be brainwashed for their army.
  25. So I'm a bit confused why the Dread lord troops are wearing Republic uniforms? Was the uniform retconed as Imperial given Republic can no longer earn the uniform , or are they Republic troops under the control of the Dread lords , or something else completely?
