  1. Yes... Arcann model looks so damn good compared to our low res characters. And Vaylens dark side eyes generally beat the snot out of our dark side eyes. Yes, updated char models and more options please. //Granted I was never really impressed with how the character models in this game looked even back at release. I'd seen prettier models in many MMOs. Story sure was better in SWTOR though, making it one of the few MMOs i've ever returned to.
  2. One thing I would like, and which bothered me, when you duel Arcann and beat the snot out of him in Ch8 and elsewhere you still end up losing. The losing part doesnt bother me so much, its the fact that I was winning the fight hands down and then cutscene and loss. If the story wants us to lose, then make the fight hard... take away companion beforehand... make it an inevitable loss so that asking old Valky for power or refusing him would make sense. So that losing would make sense in the first place... because sitting there at full health and Arcann(insert other baddie for future reference) almost dead and then a cutscene loss is just bad storytelling IMO.
  3. Now personally I find Artifice to be basically useless, crystals - you can buy cartel ones on GTN and have a limitless supply. Only other thing you can do is get those Augmentation Kit ingredients, which most other crew skills can do as well. Why not remove dye modules from the cartel packs and have Artifice be able to craft all of them, maybe have dye schematics instead in cartel packs(though would prefer not)? And put two dye slots on each item, and separate most dyes into primary and secondary(although doubles should still exist as well). Just a suggestion, being bothered that I couldnt find a single nice looking secondary color... And that most one use dye modules from the cartel market that looks decently good are up in the 10mil+ cost on my server.
  4. One thing... Stop making the Dark Side stupid. And Koth, should learn to fear Sith(and by extension other dark siders). That whiny little **** has derailed everything, and I am not even done with Ch16 yet. Should have Force Choked him through the comms, g'dammit
  5. If Sorcs/Sages are OP the solution is to look at the other classes and see how they can be brought up to the sorcs level, nerfing has only ever broken stuff. Granted, I've been away for 2 years and just recently started playing again and not properly taken out my sorc for a spin yet. I did however notice that my Marauder could actually do dmg again, unlike the situation 2 years ago, and my Juggs dmg was overall laughable despite having more experience playing that one this time around than my other chars. Overall there has been a few rather big changes in how the talents work since I last played, so need to work on learning that.
  6. Of course it makes sense... I want at least a 20% base crit, +5 for Coordination = 25% crit... Want to get as much use of that massive surge as possible. Since I already said I do not have that exact gear, any actual advice would be appreciated. Repeating again for clarity. I run full Conquerer Combat Tech, except for gloves which are Eliminator. Implants lvl 54 crafted ones, earpiece is Conq Combat Tech(I think, some Conq anyway)... Conq crit and power relics. Bounty Brokers Blaster with rank 28 mods, custom off-hand with 28 mods, +41 power crystal in off and +41 crit crystal in main. 1336 Expertise outside WZs, 1862 inside. Equip PvP main and offhand grants me 2018 expertise in WZs... Not yet having augments in everything, dont wanna put them in the Conq relics or earpiece just yet since I want Obroan first, and wont put em in main and off hand until I know what up - terrible waste of time and credits to do so... I dont know whats up... So anyone that can actually point to what the problem is, is very much welcome to sling some advice my way
  7. In the "PvE weapons" there is a +41 Power Crystal and a +41 Crit crystal.... And like I mentioned, it is with them that I dont get the full 2018 expertise even though all info here says I should.. Why surge? Cause you need a ******** of Alacrity for it to make a difference. More dmg is better than a barely faster Flamethrower... Probably need more than 500 alacrity for it to make much of a difference, and if you have that then dmg suffers alot. Cause I tried with around 300, got like .3 better heat dissipate and the channel time was still above 2.7 seconds, I think..
  8. Would really love knowing how to get the full 2018 expertise without full pvp set. Currently running with, all conquerer armor - mainly tech and 1 eliminator piece, conq earpiece, lvl 54 implants, conq relics, BBA Blaster with 28 mods, and custom generator with 28 mods. And in WZs my expertise with that setup is 1862, outside 1336. My theory was that it would add up the same in the end. Working on getting better gear, but it takes time. Got Eliminator Main and Medic Off as well, and pvp implants. So running all of that I would still max out expertise... Like I said in previous post, the issue seems to be around the "weapons". Wearing the 54 implants and having the pvp "weapons" I still get the 2018 expertise... So any ideas?
  9. Exactly how important is the exact type of gear? Cause with PvE main and off and PvE implants I dont get the full 2018 expertise... I do get it with PvE implants and PvP main and off, rest is of course pvp gear. Is it specific to the weapon model or some such idiocy?
  10. Dump any old pvp gear, replace it with pve mods... Recently came back myself and found that my old Champion gear nerfed my Expertise instead of boosting it, making my Mara tons squishier and less deadly. Bolster basically also grants max Expertise these days, although it works kinda wonky at 55... Trying to figure that out myself.
  11. Also, seems to me that people on my server tend to focus down Maras real fast. Guess they know how dangerous they can be even at lower lvls.
  12. Started with assassin, found their energy consumption way to high. Rolled sorc, found it be way to easy to get really good at. Rolled merc, dropped it after seeing that they are one-trick ponies requiring little skill to play. Rolled a Powertech, which is a very fun class. They rock in huttball with their many annoying tools, grapple into fire or acid is very fun:D... got bored. Rolled Marauder, still low level but i'm loving it and I dont even have the really good abilities yet. They require alot of skill to use, have lots of fun skills to. So far i've managed to do 2v1, me being the 1, on more than one occasion and come of on top. Give me a healer and i'm unstoppable.
  13. Problem comes when your opponents are good enough to reposition themselves quickly and knock of knockback. Which is the case on my server... If they get any angle on you then you're off the ledge. You'll still manage to pull down some hurt on their asses, but then you'll be dead due to ranged being so much better overall. The real problem for Marauders comes from the fact that most ranged have easy to use almost free ranged slows, proc-based of their free ranged attack in some cases, and when you close the distance you're KBed and rooted, then slowed, then stunned. Way to much CC in this game... Would help if Resolve actually made you immune to ALL CC, not just stuns, and potentially KBs, Resolve rarely seems to be working anyway. I do find it very bad though that Powertechs get a free to use to use Disruption with equal cooldown. Marauder Disruption should not have a Rage cost...
  14. Sentinels? Dont they have the same CC as Marauders, whcih would be close to none compared to every other class in the game.
  15. At least republic get actual functioning armor. Inquisitor gear would get them killed due to being utterly disfunctional.

    Quitting warzones

    I usually quit when the opposing team totally stomp us due to them having a good emount of healers when my team has none.. Hopefully someone more useful to my team takes my place. Or when the pug I get just dont act tactically... Hopefully somewhat done with pugs...
  17. Heh, the only way one can beat an Arsenal merc one-trick pony is by confusing them for a sec with an interrupt. But then again I cant expect everyone to roll a more difficult class just for the challenge The Tracer Missile spam is currently OP IMHO... My only other main grief is all the snares and stuns and knockbacks ranged classes get. Marauders have no KBs, need to specc for a decent snare quite heavily into one tree, and get one channeled stun.
  18. Ranged in Huttball indeed... Especially those who use cover, makes my lvl 23 Marauder so much harder... Like it wasnt hard enough already..
  19. Any and all classes with knockbacks. The CC is insane in this game. Oh yeh, and healers able to HoT through my dmg...
