  1. This is Star Wars. The glass is in space. Now what wise guy?
  2. Am I a griefer, or are you a crybaby? A paradox! The glass is half empty sir. The two posters above have the right idea of what I meant. The entire Star Wars story revolves around the Empire and Republic being at war with one another. Why is this not reflected in the game? Sure, Flashpoints are fun, but wouldn't it make it that much more exciting if you're clearing trash in a flashpoint and all of a sudden a group of jedi and/or sith appear to take down your entire raid group? Why shouldn't one faction be able to board another factions fleet and/or encampments on the different planets? Is this not about war? How much mindless npc bashing can one person endure before it becomes boring? This game needs more spice. Spice spice spice.
  3. As a Sith, I would find it very appealing to dock my ship on the Republic Fleet and proceed to cause many tears and broken keyboards from the poor Jedi. Please give me this feature Bioware. This game is of course called Star "Wars". Why are there no Wars? Give me the ability to unleash some Sith destruction. Thanks.
  4. Stop spilling things on and/or using Razer keyboards and your glitches will subside.
  5. All the whining and crying about changes from the PVE crowd are ruining the advancement and improvement of gameplay for people who PVP..... Its a 2 way door big guy. The PVE crowd are not special snowflakes.
  6. What leads you to believe that "achieving greatness" and "contributions to humanity" go together? Get yourself a Guinness Book of World Records and pick a page. Most of the people in that book contribute absolutely nothing to society and yet some of the accomplishments are downright amazing. By definition, a "professional" is engaged in a specified activity as one’s main paid occupation rather than as a pastime. - oxford dictionary If there was a way in which an individual could earn an income by watching tv or playing snakes and ladders as you sarcastically described, by definition, they would be a professional. Your personal opinion towards gaming does not in fact change reality. "Competitive types" have in no way affected the decline of MMO's just as "Competitive types" affected other various sports/games negatively throughout history. It is human nature to be competitive. If an activity generates enjoyment, rest assured there will be competition. If you are not here to compete and your entire purpose for playing this game is for leisure activity with friends or family as you described, thats perfectly fine and i'm sure both myself as well as everyone else can respect that. However, if this may be the case, what purpose could you possibly have for posting in a thread that was very clearly aimed towards a competitive crowd? I also must insist on asking the question, why exactly are you playing a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE ROLE PLAYING GAME at all if your only intention is to play with "friends" and "family"? To be honest, if thats your goal, perhaps watching tv or playing "snakes" and ladders would generate better quality time with said individuals.
  7. Jonathan Wendel has achieved greatness in video games. The Socratic Method proves your theory to be false. Thanks for playing. If one fails to become great, they failed to remove all the inefficiencies of said thing they chose for the pursuit of greatness. Would you know who Albert Einstein was if E did not equal MC squared? Would you know who Michael Jordan was if he had trouble shooting a basketball? Would you know who Leonardo Da Vinci was if all he could do was finger paint? Would you know who John Lennon was if he could play a guitar like a 4yr old with rubber bands? My statement is true kind sir, and there is nothing you can say to invalidate it.
  8. Yes, it is a video game. I clearly referenced that fact in my post which you clearly did not read. This may be of some use for you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reading_comprehension
  9. To achieve the highest level of success, one must remove any and all inefficiencies from their game. This applies to all things in life, not just video games. Sometimes one must simply accept that their way of doing things is not prime and learn to understand why this may be so. If you refuse to understand why clicking is inefficient, you are in fact refusing to take your game to a higher level. If you are stubbornly set in your ways, you are destined to never achieve greatness.
  10. And there we have it folks. The very thing I talked about in the first paragraph of the initial post. Idrik, you have an extreme lack of intelligence and/or grasp of interpreting the english language and I kindly ask you to stop posting in this thread. This topic is for people who care to have a mature and intelligent discussion. You sir, failed to understand sentence #2 of the very first post and to be honest, your lack of understanding is quite frightening to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-cpojkILO0
  11. Rather than acknowledge the people who feel the need to advertise their superior skills on a forum, let me pose a question.... If theres 3 classes with knockback ability on the top floor, which one do you adjust your position for? I wont even address the other responses because again, I could care less about your personal skill.
  12. This is not a thread about how good or bad the class is. Its not a thread about my own nor anyone else's personal skill with the class. Its not a thread about crying or praising. If thats what you're looking for, stop reading right now. 1. Disruption. This ability is supposed to be an "instant" cast. Why is it that this ability can not be used until a previously used ability has finished playing out its animation? Waiting 2-3 swings on a normal attack before being able to use this ability can be the difference between a kill and a 5k heal. 2. Top Level - Huttball This is a major concern. As a Marauder, the only way we can be effective is by point blank contact. Charging the ball-carrier on the top platform only to be thrown off to the bottom floor time and time again makes us completely useless. We don't have ranged abilities. This is not fun. This is not enjoyable. Perhaps an ability that keeps us grounded for 5 secs and/or slows our speed as a result? Perhaps anyone we have in a force choke pulls our target down with us? 3. Crippling Slash See problem #1. Same rules apply. This ability should be able to be used immediately after a force charge. The slow speed should also be debated as well. Something is broken when classes have the ability to slow a marauder and press nothing more than the backwards key to very easily prevent a marauder from reaching them.
  13. What about the fact that expertise also reduces damage taken? Does your cute little calculation take that into consideration?
