  1. Ah. That's... inconvenient. Strange that they don't have a Repair function in the launcher. Every other game I've seen does.
  2. I went to log in, but I find I can't. The game goes to a splash screen then there's an error code C5, something about being unable to load assets. I went to verify the files, but the launcher won't let me do a repair. Not sure what else to do. I looked online, and found some suggestions about deleting the Bitraider folder, but there IS no Bitraider folder I can find... so I'm stuck. Anyone got any ideas?
  3. So now the outfits can be renamed... which is nice and all... but all my outfits are now out of order. I spent a small fortune remaking outfits so they were in the slots I wanted them in, and now they're all out of order. Can we get the ability to reorder them as we please?
  4. A couple of those are Republic only, but I'll keep my eyes peeled... they look pretty decent.
  5. Well, the colours aren't really an issue, it will be coordinated with the chest armour. However, that's not the armour I'm looking for. The one I want has kind of metal plates at the hips that run down the legs, and ribbed leather (rubber, whatever) on the insides of the legs.
  6. Checked the Terenthium and all other craftable armours I have access to, and none of them look like the one I want. Sure would be nice if I could transfer the one on one of my other characters.
  7. Well it's too late now, my character has reached L60. If I play the Advanced Prototype spec, I lose my Flame Burst and instead get a damn silly looking purple fart blast (Magnetic Blast). If I play Pyrotech, I lose my extended range on several abilities, I lose my Retractable Blade and my Thermal Detonator, and I lose the variety of skills, as everything is now about fire. If I play Shield Tech, I lose my extended range, and don't have even ONE longer ranged ability (unlike the other specs), I lose Retractable Blade, and I lose most of the variety, as the build relies VERY heavily on Heavy Flamethrower (which also makes Flame Burst kind of redundant). So, as usual, I am forced to lose something, no matter what I do. How disappointing. Let me therefore reiterate my suggestion. Instead of replacing a skill with another skill, allow us to CHOOSE whether to retain the original animation OR to upgrade the skill. For example, Flame Burst would be upgraded to have the Magnetic Blast effects, but I could choose to have it use the Flame Burst animation OR the Magnetic Burst animation.
  8. For several years now, I've been trying to find the Boltblaster's Legplates Mk-6. https://i0.wp.com/torf.mmo-fashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/parts-2016-12-29-19-59-23-04.jpg I've been unable to find them. A search online suggests they're found on Hutta, but I've never seen them in any loot of any kind. I looked on the GTN, but there's none there. Were they discontinued or something? Is there some way to get them that I don't know about?
  9. Well... Magnetic Blast is discipline specific too... but I do understand what you're saying.
  10. The problem is the other trait lines are unsatisfying too, for different reasons. Pyrotech is far TOO flamey. It does have one decently ranged attack, the Incendiary Missile... but it looks and sounds rather underwhelming. More, I would lose the 15m range on my various other attacks, AND I would lose my Retractable Blade. Shield Tech still has too many flame attacks. The Heavy Flamethrower is awesome, but makes Flame Burst kind of redundant. Worse, it has NO longer range attacks, and also loses the Retractable Blade. Really, this would be less of an issue if Magnetic Blast replaced the ENERGY BLAST power. I mean, they have similar looks, and it would leave the PT with the iconic Flame Burst power. Of course, there would still be the giggling...
  11. It's a sound that plays when a trait procs. The thing is, it has no purpose. The trait activates when you use the skill... EVERY time you use the skill, so you don't need to have audio feedback telling you it activated. In addition, the affected skill on your toolbar gets a glowing square around it, so there's also a VISUAL cue telling you you've activated the skill you activated. It's not doing anything useful.
  12. So, I've been playing a new character. I've been here since beta, but I've never really played a Powertech until recently. After watching some of the Mandalorian, I was inspired. I've been playing the Advanced Prototype trait line. I like the extra range, and the variety of the weapons. However, as I've been going along with no new skills for a while, I decided to look ahead at what was coming, and I saw that at level 60, my iconic and marvelous Flame Burst skill gets REPLACED by Magnetic Blast. This was very disturbing to me. I stopped playing my Commando because of something similar, where Full Auto was replaced by Boltstorm, which I loathe. The flame thrower is one of the Bounty Hunter's most recognizable, iconic skills, and it gets taken away. To correct this problem, on this class and others, I have a suggestion. Simply that the skill being added be OPTIONAL. That is, don't require the change to the newer skill, let us use the one we prefer. Alternatively, allow us to keep both the original AND the new skills, but make them share a cooldown. That way, the character could only ever use one or the other. A third option, and not one which I prefer, is to give us the option to turn off ALL xp gains, allowing us to stop leveling. That way, we could stop leveling before we reach levels where skills we like are replaced. Another problem is one which has come up repeatedly since launch. I haven't reached it yet, but apparently on acquiring the passive trait, Prototype Particle Accelerator, my character is going to start giggling every time he uses one of several core skills, denoting the activation of a proc. The giggling forced me to stop playing my Operative, my Scoundrel and also my Commando (who abandoned Gunnery because of Boltstorm and Assault Specialist because of the giggling). This is a long standing problem. When the game launched, characters giggled as they do now, and people complained about it. It's a BEHAVIOUR inappropriate for many characters (for example, my Operative was supposed to be a cold, emotionless, robotic character, so giggles were way out of character for him). So, the giggle was removed. But then, people who liked it complained, and it was put back. Of course, the people who complained originally complained again, and have BEEN complaining for YEARS to no avail. However, I've been given some semblance of hope by an excellent CSR who answered a ticket for me, and at his suggestion, I'm making my own suggestion once again. Make the giggling OPTIONAL. You don't want to remove it entirely, some people do like it. I get that, people like what they like. However, there are plenty of us who greatly dislike it. Making it optional would satisfy BOTH camps. It was removed once before, I can't imagine it would be all that difficult to make it an option. I could make many more suggestions, but these are the ones on my mind right now. Perhaps I'll add more later.
  13. Good LORD, the Advanced Prototype BH is burdened with the damn giggling TOO? That stupidity forced me out of my Operative, my Scoundrel and my Commando, and now it's going to claim my Powertech too? I can't believe they STILL refuse to correct this. They removed it YEARS ago, and then put it back for no good reason, and have obstinately refused to even give us an OPTION to not giggle like a fool all the damn time.
  14. I've just noticed that the Bounty Hunter skill line for Advanced Prototype REPLACES Flame Burst with Magnetic Blast... and I REALLY don't want that. The flame thrower is one of the most iconic BH weapons, and I love using it, so I don't want it replaced. My Commando's best skill, Full Auto, was ruined by Boltstorm, and now this. Is there some way I can stop gaining levels before the game replaces the Flame Burst skill?
  15. Still an issue, all these years later. As a solo player, I can't queue for this, and it doesn't appear in the group finder. No way to continue the Iokath story. I know it's a necro of an old thread, but that's the point... that this is still an issue that was raised some considerable time ago.
  16. So, having done the story, I've been going back and doing all the exploration missions on all the planets. However, I'm never quite sure if I've got them all. Is there a way to know if I've done all the missions on a given planet? For instance, in the codex, there's an entry on the Planets tab indicating achievements, another for datacrons, bestiary and so on. It will show a number completed and a number available on a bar. With that, I'd know whether or not I'd completed all the various things available on that planet. Is there something similar for missions? (If there isn't can I suggest it be ADDED?)
  17. There are a few that are harder, but it's usually because of the deluge of nostop stuns, knocks, bounces, and so on. For instance, I just did that one on Nar Shaddaa where you go in to kill some Jedi trainers and trainees, and EVERY ONE is knocking and stunning you every second. That makes it "harder" because you can't DO anything. You break free once, then get immediately stunned again, and have to rely on your companion to do essentially everything. You can call that "harder" if you want, but I just call it irritating. Healing is reduced on companions, but not dreadfully. What I'm noticing is that companions just randomly stop doing ANYTHING, for no apparent reason. No healing, no attacking, no taunting... nothing.
  18. Is that a change? I've had exploration missions turned off for years, and was still doing those multi stage missions.
  19. I don't notice it taking any longer (except that I need a bit of recovery time after some battles), but then, I'm used to playing tanky characters.
  20. I have noticed that Heroics seem harder, but not unmanageable. Let's be honest, there really needed to be a nerf on companions. I could do heroics and never EVER felt threatened in any way. In fact, there were some heroics where my companion did everything (usually because I spent the whole thing stunned or otherwise controlled). I'm still evaluating, but I think it's fine.
  21. So, I'm on Nar Shaddaa with my new Bounty Hunter, but I've noticed something. You know those missions you get while you're doing OTHER missions, where the little droid drops down and projects a screen with a mission update? For instance, there's on on Coruscant, where you're in the first zone. You go across the bridge and defeat bad guys. The little droid drops down and says to disable (or repair?) some node things. Once that's done, the droid drops down again with another stage. The final stage is to defeat a boss up on the platform next to the giant droid world boss. I've not seen ANY of those kind of missions. I'm pretty sure I remember them on Nar Shaddaa and elsewhere, so I feel like I SHOULD have had some by now. Were they removed (and if so, WHY?!??), or are they bugged? I'm kind of stalled, waiting for an answer, because I don't want to miss out on them.
  22. Wow. I've discovered TWO MORE instances of abilities being added that don't actually modify anything because the skills they modify aren't available yet. Another one for the Powertech, and one for the Sniper. Did they not PLAYTEST this? I mean, seriously... I've been playing with it for less than a week and I've found three instances of this. How could they let this go live with glaring mistakes like this?
