  1. There was community post stating that it would be too difficult to modify all of a character's gender based interactions and equipment. The community is eager to echo this every time someone asks about changing their character's gender. Where does the difficulty come from? Other MMOs have successfully offered faction changes and solved many of the same problems that SWtoR would have with gender changes. Faction based equipment, gear, titles, and more are simply swapped out for their appropriate equivalent. Replace the word Faction with Gender. For relationships just reset the relationship status of character. Mark the character as having had no romance with another companion or NPC. This isn't something that's impossible to do. It's not like creating a new talent system or building a new game engine. It's as simple as resetting some quest flags.
  2. In other games, their currency will expire if you don't use it in a certain amount of time.
  3. There is one. You can send your companion to sell your junk for you. It's been in the game since launch
  4. I think it's counter-intuitive to reduce the amount of EXP that F2P players earn.
  5. I agree with the credit limit, but I do not agree with double dipping by then charging more for everything else. The decreased EXP gain cannot be fully nullified. It's estimated that non-subscribers gain EXP at around 20-30% slower than subscribers. The EXP consumables from the cartel market are available to everyone, including the subscribers. As I stated before they didn't increase the speed at which subscribers level, so it's not a perk for subscribers.
  6. You have missed my point. I never addressed restrictions on crafting, pvp, operations, or space missions. I am disagreeing with the restrictions that are counter-intuitive and unnecessary. I listed them in my original post. I understand the point of restrictions to crafting, pvp, operations, and space missions. I also see the point on capping the credit limit, but there is no reason to charge more for everything else on top of that restriction. There is also no reason to slow down the rate at which people gain EXP when they are already limited by the more reasonable restrictions such as FP, Warzone, and Space Missions limits.
  7. In regards to the experience restrictions they haven't increased the speed at which subscribers gain exp. They have just decreased the rate that all non subscribers gain exp. There are plenty of other restrictions that I believe to be reasonable, and the player has the option to pay to lift them. The decreased exp gain is an unreasonable restriction with no option to even pay for it to be lifted. It is counter intuitive when restrictions clash: Capping a players credit limit while charging them more for everything. Decreasing the rate you get EXP and limiting the leveling options available to them (Space Missions, Flash Points, PVP) To clarify, I don't see anything wrong with the current limitations to Space Missions, Flash Points, or Warzone access. I do believe it is wrong for the company to double dip, and restrict EXP gain with no option to remove the limitation.
  8. The current playing options F2P, Preferred Status, and Subscriber is a wonderful business model for both the company and the player. However, a few of the restrictions are unnecessary. I understand that at the F2P level the player has paid nothing for everything the game is providing, therefore my concerns are based on the Preferred Status restrictions. I understand limiting the amount of credits a player can hold, but why then increase the cost of Vendor Items, Mod Removal, and Augment Costs? Why prevent any player from equipping event items when regular events through out the year can keep a player coming back? That same player may even purchase more than the items related to the event on the cartel market. Why reduce the amount of experience any of the players receive just because they are not subscribers? Why remove rested experience? There isn't even an option to remove either of those restrictions on the cartel market. You are already going to make money off of people paying to remove the more reasonable restrictions. The ones I have listed are unnecessary. Don't use this model as a way to force people into a subscription. This is a wonderful game, and I have defended it against many unreasonable criticisms. I don't believe the lack of subscribers was a reflection of the quality of the game, but a reflection of the current MMO market climate. I ask for you to give up focusing on gaining subscribers with the restrictions I have listed, and instead focus on the potential strengths of your F2P model. EDIT : To clarify, those 3 points I made are the entirety of my criticisms of the current F2P model. That means that I agree with the many other restrictions that are in place, and that I believe the system is near perfect.
  9. The part I found counter-intuitive was not that you had to search through the crates to find the quest item. It was competing with people who had already completed the quest and just wanted to farm tokens and the pet. It was an unnecessary element of the quest that made it take longer than it should have.
  10. I am disappointed in the design of this quest. I believe that the Smuggler's Crates that contained the quest objective should have been separate and less RNG oriented than the Crates with the Tokens and the chance to find the Pet. The quest is counter-intuitive. For those of us who were/are just trying to complete the quest, we have to compete with players who are farming Tokens and the Pet. I am enjoying the rest of The Grand Acquisitions Race and the rest of the game but this particular goal seems to have been designed with the erroneous idea that a time consuming task is a difficult task. I enjoy this game very much but, this quest was like a stain on one of my favorite shirts
  11. I agree with you on GW2. I have started to juggle multiple MMO's and the subscription costs started to stack up. I am very excited about this transition.
  12. I wonder what the exchange rate is from Cartel Coins to USD. Maybe 1000 is a lot.
  13. Lost one name. Been spending the entire day thinking of a replacement. It's difficult to make it "Star Warsy"
  14. Is it profitable to just select three gathering skills or two gathering and one mission skill? I've searched the forums and goggled for information on it but it seems like no one is trying it.
  15. They said that they are going to implement a "Grey Side" reward system. It just wouldn't be ready at launch.
  16. I would like this to be implemented too. I would also like to see character name changes and re-customization implemented. I understand that due to the nature of the game a sex or race change may be overwhelming to not implement but simply changing where the sliders rest wouldn't affect anything. Hopefully with little to know charge but a "cool-down" period would be understandable.
