  1. and that unintended action could very well have been taken care of it they would have put the restrictions in place for that planet. since there is nothing for a lower level to do on that planet other than running around looting containers with gear well above their level and credits in excess of what they need.
  2. there were also others that went there for their own gain and not so sell for real money. what is wrong with someone farming loot chests for their own gain?
  3. why allow lower levels on Ilum then? there is no intended difficulty since there are no mobs in the area. if a level 50 went into the area they would face the same difficulty that the level 16 would have faced.
  4. gold sellers are one thing and those got banned. people farming for their own use is completely different and warnings/suspensions for that i can not agree with.
  5. the standing all day in the city/hub in WoW because the game is 7 years old and many do not have a reason to go out and quest. it was going on before LFD was put in the game the only difference was that you had chat filled with "dps lfg" or "1 more neaded for (insert dungeon name here).
  6. then they should have i dont know put in level restrictions.
  7. if you are looking for a group for a flashpoint you would already be in the fleet station anyway, since the flashpoints are all there. what is so bout about an auto port back to it if you are out questing when you group finally forms? all it would do is allow you to go out and enjoy other parts of the game until you got a group.
  8. fixed for truth. since no planets have a required level to land on them.
  9. there is a difference between someone selling credits and someone farming resources(even credits) for themselves. the gold sellers got banned and the ones that farmed for themselves got suspended. again it does not say anywhere in this post that anyone was using an exploit only that they were exploiting loot containers by systematically and excessively farming them.
  10. no the definition of exploit is: ex·ploit 2    [ik-sploit] verb (used with object) 1. to utilize, especially for profit; turn to practical account: to exploit a business opportunity. which i see has a positive connotation.
  11. more like GTA series to Saints Row series. and yes its fair.
  12. and even if they sold them on the GTN how does that change what they were doing. I am not talking about the ones that got banned those were gold sellers. i am talking about the ones that they did not associate with gold selling.
  13. but he never said they used an exploit. exploiting does not mean using an exploit. exploiting means using for gain/profit. and he mentions doing it excessively. if it was using an exploit why worry about them using it excessively? using exploits is strictly prohibited in the TOS and can be cause for a ban. excessively using exploits should definitely be grounds for a ban dont you think?
  14. no the definition of exploiting is taking advantage or this: ex·ploit 2    [ik-sploit] verb (used with object) 1. to utilize, especially for profit; turn to practical account: to exploit a business opportunity.
  15. no he never said they were using an exploit to do what they were doing only that they were exploiting(taking advantage of)loot containers on Ilum.
  16. where did he say that they were using an exploit to make them respawn faster? I would like to see it.
  17. actually no were did it say that any of the temp bans were handed out for glitching the chests to make them respawn. it said systematic and excessive looting. so if you watch the chest spawns and create a system so you can loot them in an efficient manner and do it for "too long" then you can get your account suspended.
  18. also can get your account suspended if you farm it too long.
  19. no it doesnt since they are better equipped to gather them, they have speeders and can get to the nodes before someone without it. they also have better ways of getting money(dailies) so these are not being used by them anyway.
  20. many players like me have been playing mmos for over 10 years and have played games where we camped mobs in one spot for many hours a day for weeks. for me it would be nothing to spend a few hrs or even days doing the same task. not everyone that likes to farm is a gold seller.
  21. any player can reasonably go to ilum and loot the same chests. if the player were lvl 50 would they have gotten suspended for looting the same chests in a systematic and excessive way, and not letting others loot them? if not then the explanation that we were given was not accurate. it did not say that going there at a low level was unreasonable only that they were doing it too long. if the same player went back at 50 and did the same thing would they get suspended for doing it too long?
  22. also says they suspended and gave warnings to people for "over farming" to keep for themselves.
  23. no they should have not put it in with all the other skills. guess what other games like you know WoW have a completely different trainer for mount skills. works just fine in that game. when i go to my class trainer i am going for my class skills not my mount.
  24. because they want to control what a player does with their time and how credits are made. and they screwed up and allowed something like that to happen in the first place by not making the boxes level restricted. not the players fault for playing the game the way the devs designed. they designed it to be picked up by any player otherwise they would have restricted it. they were just niave that they players would not do this for extended periods to make quick credits. they did similar with the slicing nerf. slicing missions were like printing money and they were niave to think people wouldnt make slicing bots(setting up multiple character to run slicing missions). so they had to nerf it.
