  1. That is kind of funny, even when using "wow" regularly, you still capitalized the two w's.
  2. Warhammer and AoC are still running, technically.
  3. Although some of these threads I'd consider whiny, the OP's wasn't, to be fair.
  4. I'm not sure how you disagree with what I said....? They are not in the game, give them time, and you will see them? Regardless if it was supposed to be there day 1, it wasn't there. What else can you possibly do at this point?
  5. I'm just using whining/complaining as general terms, it's not meant to be insulting.
  6. That would be true, expect we've been complaining about the same things over and over and over again. I'm pretty sure Bioware is aware of them now. If you have a new bug/new problem, then go ahead, you're helping the game by pointing it out.
  7. I understand, but honestly, whining about it on the forums will not make these "basic features" magically appear on the game. People need to either be patient and play the game as is, or come back later. It's not rocket science. We are beating the horse so dead right now you can see it's bone marrow.
  8. I think someone needs to relax. It's an MMO, and MMO's gets patched, features are added. Anyone who wouldn't want their MMO to be patched is probably a moron. And yes, for some of these "basic features", you have to give them time, because they have already talked about adding them soon.
  9. I don't think anyone is arguing that the game doesn't need to be patched, or have features added.
  10. I love customization too, played City of Heroes for a long time. Sadly that game's biggest downfall was there was no gear grind, so it had no sub retention. If GW2 can pull of that happy medium of addicting gameplay and extensive customization I'll definitely be happy. But honestly as long as I look cool, I'm content. Right now I'm pretty happy with Assassin PvP armor, regardless of the clones. If they come out with a really crappy looking set in a couple months, I'll be crusading for either PvP mods, or an A-Tab.
  11. Eh, their best game is GW1. And don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the game, but it was not that amazing. It was an average MMO at best. It's better to go into these MMO's not expecting the world, because developers are only human. There's going to be bugs at release, features they will add later ect... It's just reality.
  12. I wouldn't really call a nice character creator and dyes "raising the bar", those have been done to death, but to each their own. I'm more interested in the combat/world PvP area. But you also have to look at GW2 realistically, not everything Arenanet promises might be as great as they claimed/even be in the game at release.
  13. That was more of a mini game than a boss fight. But you're right, it's not really a "boss" fight. It's more akin to the public quests in Warhammer, just a lot more epic.
  14. You have to read what I originally replied to, to understand the context. The guy was implying in GW2 no one will look the same while bashing TOR, which just isn't true. The appearance customization isn't advanced enough for that. Once again, I know GW2 will have less clones than TOR, but until the game releases there is no way of knowing how much of a difference it will be.
  15. I know, I played GW1. But it was not like City of Heroes, there were clones of each other, it just was not as likely compared to games like TOR and WoW. Yes, I know how the armor customization will work. It still doesn't change the fact that there will be clones running around. People will find the same pieces cool looking, and wear them. It happened in GW1, it will most likely happen in GW2. And again, playing at pax for a limited time does not tell you how all the classes will differ at release. I know the world PvP area is big, but there is only one. That's why it isn't like DAoC, it had multiple RvR maps. I'm not bashing GW2 for future reference, but comparing two games that harshly, one which hasn't even come out yet, is pretty silly.
  16. Yeah, because the GW2 devs have given more information about the way gear customization will work and their world PvP area. They're hush hush atm, I follow GW2 also.
  17. Actually, they have one area for world PvP. It's hardly comparable to DAoC. It's only like DAoC based on the fact that it will be a 3 way battle. Also, the game isn't out yet, so you have no idea how similar/different the classes are, if there will be no bots, or if everyone will look different gear wise.
  18. Yeah, it's a never ending cycle. Has been like this since EQ. There's just a lot more MMO players nowadays.
  19. Eh, the rage on these forums do not really equal that of the release of NGE. But I understand what you're saying, you should listen to the complaints of your customers. But a rage filled forum during an MMO release (and beyond) is as normal as apple pie. The only thing it indicates is that your MMO is not perfect, like them all.
  20. I'm not saying this game is going to be the most successful MMO of all time, or that it won't die after the first month, because it is impossible to know these things. But if we solely base a game's aptitude off of its general discussion on a forum: WoW would have "died" about one thousand times for a thousand different reasons. Skyrim would be the worst single player RPG of all time. MWF 3 would be complete **** compared to BF 3, while at the same time (somehow), BF 3 would be complete **** compared to MWF 3. Ect, ect...Until you're bored of typing.
  21. Yeah, they're going to wait two years to add more end game.... Sigh.
  22. There is some much sensationalism in this thread it hurts to read.
  23. Most servers have an extreme imperial bias. On my assassin I see republic players every now and then, on my gunslinger I see them all the time, in big groups. *shrugs*
  24. Yes, on the imperial fleet, and some places in Dromund Kaas. There was about 15 people having a gank fest on Voss earlier today also.
