  1. Good question. The Character Logged in or the Character that shows up as the 'owner' in the 'U' panel, whichever is logged in at the time. If logged off, the default statue will be that of the 'owner' that shows up in the 'U' panel. The gear will change when the visitor leaves the instance and returns again. I know it will be complicated to have the statue's gear and appearance change in the same visit, so leaving and coming back in will have to do. In part of truth, yes, this has a hint of egotism in the idea; but the egotism can make sales. That being said, I think holostatues are on a timer before getting re-used again (if we are talking about the Toy items of holostatues). I will be content with a holostatue decoration, maybe something like a hologram of your character being displayed from a device on the floor or wall.
  2. Over the course of playing Swtor and devoting a big portion of my playtime with Strongholds as well as decorations, I have a couple ideas for new decorations for SWTOR, specifically for PC (player characters). Since the release of Strongholds, we are all aware of the Decorations: Companions. With Companion decorations, you as the player can place Decorations of Khem Val, Scorpio, Xalek, Vette, etc. in your stronghold and the looks of those said companions change depending on the characters you enter the stronghold in, such as your Sith Assassin's Xalek might be wearing one look that differs from the Xalek of your Sith Sorcerer. The point I am trying to draw out is the Decoration Adaptiveness of the Companion Decorations. With the idea of Decoration Adaptiveness, we can open a new door to Decorations in Strongholds: PC Statues. The idea here is to have a decoration that adapts to the appearance of the PC (ie. the owner of said stronghold) that enters into the stronghold, or is online at the moment. Details of the statues can mirror the art styles of the Commemorative Statues that was already have. Default Poses for PC Statues. Poses are big for the Commemorative Statues that we already have, so it should be big for our PC Statues. Here are some ideas for poses attributed to classes. The Sith Inquisitor PC Statue can have the pose of the Force Storm animation, since the ability itself is exclusive to the class and you know the PC is a Sith Inquisitor from just looking at the pose. The Sith Warrior PC statue can have the pose of the Force Choke. The Agent can have his weapon drawn out, as well as the Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, and Trooper. The Jedi Knight could have its lightsaber drawn and ready for battle, and the Jedi Consular can be in a meditating pose. PC Adaptiveness for Guild HQ (Stronghold): With PC Statue adaptiveness, it'll be assumed that the PC Statue will adapt to the individual holding the Gold Key to the Stronghold, ie. The GM only. Inspiration of the idea: Awhile speaking with guildies in Teamspeak, we all were talking how cool it would be to have decorations of our characters, more specifically, large statues. The idea came round and the idea became more and more ironed out. Shout out to DEV Team: Please make this happen! Even if you decide to make this a limited time offer decoration, I am sure the Strongholds community would enjoy something like this.
  3. Image Translated from Galactic Basic to normal text I see why you translated to Galactic Basic. I would've placed in for the dialogue... Chiss: "Hey babe, wanna go out on a cruise on my Crimson Sand Crawler?" Human: (Thinking) "A Crimson Sand Crawler? I have one of those, this guy must really be desperate."
  4. Have you done a comic making the different body sizes into some sort of parody?
  5. So you're saying that the campaign wouldn't be canon if I allowed a player to make their character an ewok. Okay. that is the reason why I posted here. So I can get some answers. My only other option for my mother to have her character as is a Jawa if she so ever wanted to play a little alien race. Otherwise, there are plenty of other races from the Alien Anthology and in the Saga edition Knights of the Old Republic campaign manual she can choose from as well. The reason why I brought this up is because my mother wanted the ewok to be force sensitive. Yet I did think to myself in my head that a level 1 has a primitive stat that forced level 1 ewoks to have no weapon proficiencies regardless of class, until the ewok leveled to at least level 2. But I'll take your comment to note and spread it around to my group.
  6. "Greeting: Hello fellow meatbags." ~ HK-47 Anyway, I GM for a few games and recently I am GM-ing for a KOTOR styled SWRPG adventure that I am creating with the given KOTOR d20 rulebook, and the d20 RCR. My question on canon is really on the historical aspect of aliens and their discovery. One of the players in this session (amongst some of my friends) is my mother, who grew up with episodes IV, V, VI and she liked the Ewoks and Yoda. (She likes the cute little guys, LOL). So, I said (without knowing), "So do you want to be an alien or a Human? If alien, what race?" She replied, "I want my character's race to be Yoda's race." I stated, "That is not possible because George Lucas never revealed the name, planet of origin or history of Yoda's race." So my mother asked, "What about an Ewok?" Without knowing too much about canon I said, "Sure." Now, I am wondering. This adventure, campaign, etc. is in the era of KOTOR which is the Old Republic era. Now I know that ewoks made their first appearance in the movies towards the victory of the Rebellion. And I was wondering (and this is my question): Were ewoks founded at that time in the Star Wars Universe, or had they always been discovered?
  7. Well a Trooper dressed as a Jedi Knight. LOL (I have a bad correcting habit.) May I take a moment to quote a Sith Lord? "NOOOOOOOOoooooooo," Darth Vader. Please don't go Pontius, I just found your thread last week, read every post from the OP post and now this. Please don't go to GW2 and leave us alone, at least keep in touch.
  8. I don't have any good recommendations because my style of SWRPG is picking and taking that makes the gaming experience more fluid depending on the people I am working with. So initially I use almost all of the books I can grasp. [edit] I have ran "Dark Side," "Light Side," "Jedi Training," "Sith training," "Jedi vs Sith," "Sith vs Jedi," and many more types of campaigns from just splicing the books. It is really fun to do, but then I had four plus years in GM-ing.
  9. Can you do a webcomic on some particular classes wearing gear of other classes? Such as Warrior/Bounty Hunter, Knight/Trooper, etc.
  10. IC Info (put as little or as much as you like, I like to just do the basics and let RP develop the rest for people.) 11. Would they transfer with all skills, items, and credits in their possession and cargo hold for characters moving from one server to another?
  12. I was wondering about this and it can go for discussion, but some of the mid-level to high level story/plot gear is orange gear. Now, I know, they don't have "Custom" in their title but let's fantasize a little bit. I know for the Inquisitor story line you get , both of which are orange modifiable items. And my fantasy about it is: if you can reverse engineer those story items and get a critical to learn their schematic; then you can make them. Which would be AWESOME.
  13. As I recall, you can still have all the buffs of the classes under the banner you wish to play on (Imperial or Republic) prior to the patch because people would buff each player in their team in WZ. It has always been placed in the system that players can buff one another in PvP WZ.
  14. They'll only fix it when some group rises again to say that even to (freely organize) your tree the way you want. Like having same sex spouses would forcefully without remorse turn your children into same sex lovers. I believe that is bull, the game is a game after all. It is not real life. I personally wouldn't mind if they fix it, but if they don't, it could add to some interesting stories in the RP servers. Which, as a Role Player myself, like story making a lot and this 1.2 patch legacy system is like a gold mine to me when it comes to story ideas. And yes, some people would argue it is a bit over the top in Star Wars lore, but George Lucas only wrote the movies, the books where written by different authors and Lucas approved and disproved lore that can be added. What SWTOR MMO is doing is not going over the top of the lore, but adding to it. Just like those authors. (That is my view on the patch)
  15. This I can agree with, but I'd like to say you should watch the 1.2 Patch video speaking about that. I know abilities that carry over to different classes will nerfed in combat, because the main purpose of those abilities that are past down are for Legacy RP. As for Sith pureblood means they were born with stronger sith genetics and force sensitivity, usually they're raised sith because of the empire's treatment of them but they're not pureblood because they're sith (it's confusing). It's possible but extremely rare for a pureblood to be completely non-force sensitive (there's one of these on Voss), and a pureblood can seek redemption (the jedi knight's companion lord scourge joins you for this, and he's the one who killed the jedi exile.) So, not impossible or spitting the face of lore, but extremely improbable.
