  1. SWG vet from Scylla/Starsider here. Was Sawney Rath and Selique Lasra! Miss old SWG, RIP.
  2. I'm sure its been asked once, but I don't have time to look at the moment, so I'l ask it myself as well: What news is there of Chat Bubbles being introduced into the game? Would make my life RPing, and PvPing a lot easier .
  3. Bump! Still waiting to see some sort of information on chat bubbles from the devs.
  4. Bump for chat bubbles. I'm very disappointed to see that we aren't getting any sort of input from the devs at all about this. At the very least we should be allowed to know why or why not they haven't commented on this topic. It seems like a legitimate subject, and addition to the game.
  5. Bump for Chat Bubbles. SWG did chat right. It was easy to read and did not clutter the screen. They also changed the boarder of the chat bubble depending on the "mood" of the speech (An response in the cold mood would make icicles around the edge.). It was cool, and I hope for something similar comes to TOR already.
  6. I sent a dev a PM asking for an update on Chat Bubbles. That was like 3 days ago. No answer yet :/. I'm going to go ahead and say that his inbox is swamped with other PMs from players, and he hasn't gotten around to answering my question yet. (I hope this is the case ).
  7. To Khem, you are a piece of steak . Seriously though, I've never seen Khem stand up straight. He always has his head tilted toward me, and it looks uncomfortable. His neck probably has such a kink in it.... I think some idle animations would go a long way in making the companions seem less stiff for sure. Khem would be so relieved lmao.
  8. Bump for Chat bubbles. I still want them D: It just makes life so much easier for me in an MMO.
  9. I'd also add in there some sort of tag on your name or nameplate when you click on someone to see if they are OOC or In Character, sort of liek SWG's Roleplay and OOC tags over your head. WOuld help in finding players who are RPing and not just questing or something.
  10. Heres a bump to the thread, since I support this, and really want this added to the game as soon as possible. I sure don't want to wait another year, 2 years, 3 years... This is something that would make my game experience so much better.
  11. Here's a bump because I still support chat bubbles. Can't wait to finally see them in-game!
  12. I highly agree with this. This is something I absolutely want to see make it in the game. Its very annoying for me to have to use general all the time because no one uses /say and its even more annoying because /say and general look the same in my chat box. Yeah sure I could change the chat colors, but they could also just add in chat bubbles so I can just use say .
  13. There was no Christmas event because this is Star Wars, there's no Christmas. Now if you want a "Life Day" event, go find some wookiees
  14. That's what I mean. It seems like a fact of life that MMO forums are full of the vocal minority that scream for changes, when nothing really needs to be changed.
  15. (Anything in this post is opinion only. Do not take anything I say for fact unless cited as such ) Alright, so I see so much negativity on the forums, which is not uncommon in almost all MMOs. Why is this? Becuase only a SMALL fraction of people that actually play the game, visit the forums. This causes great games to be ruled by the "elite few" who see themselves as helping the game, when in actuality they are helping destroy the game. Even when they have the best intentions. No player (especially at this point) knows more than the developers. People will cry and complain about everything. When they ask for a change, and its changed, they will cry that they want it the old way again. When they get the old way back, they will cry and say they want a different way. Its just how it goes. So, to try and help keep the game from falling down the same path that other games have fallen down, (In my own experience Star Wars Galaxies, but not limited to just that) I am saying what a lot of you already know. Most people are in-game enjoying the hell out of it, and rarely ever come to the forums to post or read them. Its just how it is. Very few of these people who suggest anything know what they are talking about, and only want what they know from other MMOs introduced here. SWTOR is its own MMO, and should not have to "conform" to others before it. TL;DR The forums are full of the vocal minority. These are the people that give the devs feedback, and in essence, are responsible for any bad (and sometimes good) changes done to SWTOR. Also: I'm not trying to offend anyone. Should someone feel offended, I apologize. I'm just trying do the exact same thing most of you do: Help make the game a better place. (And possibly have an intelligent discussion about this topic in the process.)
  16. My bad I did get them mixed up. To be fair Shock stuns normal and weak NPC's for a few seconds too though .
  17. And this is where we can all take heart, that SWG's good name will forever live on.
  18. I like the lightning lol. Its not actually as good as you seem to make it though. Most classes I've seen have some sort of stun breaker that allows them to get out of Shock.
