  1. Experience with politics, and a decent relationship with the Republic...

    Hmm, if I could choose based on those parameters, I think I'd choose Senya. As Valkorian's ex-husband, she probably does have some knowledge of politics. Plus, she helped out during the war with Zakuul, so I imagine she does have fans in the Republic.

    Definitely Senya (for those characters who didn't kill her).

    Theron hates politics and Lana would rather stay close to the PC, so they're both out.

    Aygo's still the admiral of the fleet (or else probably invited to return to his previous Republic post), so he's out (though I think he'd do a decent job of it).

    Not sure who else would be a good candidate, tbh.

  2. Your JK doesn’t sound like a Jedi then...

    That’s the problem with the Alliance. Jedi who want to remain Jedi wouldn’t carry on with the a Alliance shenanigans. Troopers wouldn’t be Republic Troopers anymore. So really the only class for the Republic faction that works to remain Alliance without totally ripping the reason for choosing the class in the first place is the Smuggler. Oh and if you really wanted to be a Scoundrel then that’s not really going to play out for a lay low type if you’re the “Commander” of the Alliance. It just kind of ruins the reason why people wanted to be the OG class imo. At least for Republic characters and in my mind Imperial characters too, though I know there are more arguments (valid ones) for Imps doing the whole Alliance Commander deal.

    How's this for a reason for a Jedi to keep the Alliance:

    My JC feels that, while still an ally to the Jedi, she herself is no longer truly a Jedi - she's been set upon a different path by Satele and Marr, one that she feels she needs to follow and explore as far as she possibly can. In addition, Odessen is a key strategic location in the galaxy due to being perfectly balanced in the Force, and thus needs a caretaker to protect it. After all, what happened to the only other perfectly balanced planet that's ever been encountered? Oh, right, Tenebrae ate it (Nathema), which was how he became so immensely powerful in the first place.

    For these reasons, she chose to remain the Alliance Commander and hopes to reshape the Alliance appropriately to act as representatives for the Barsen'thor, a title that was never (and would never have been) stripped from her, as through KOTET/KOTFE, she lived up to it yet again - initially killing Valkorion (even though that proved a mistake, there's no way she could have known that beforehand), defeating Arcann, then Vaylin, and finally Valkorion once again. And let's not forget the superweapons of the traitor arc, as well.

    Basically, she feels her responsibilities as Barsen'thor, the Galactic Warden, would be more readily performed by remaining where she is as the Alliance Commander.

  3. Simply put, after playing through Onslaught on both a SW and a SI...the "generous offer" to fully and officially return to the Empire is either laughable or insulting, depending on your perspective.

    Also, between the offer presented to the SW and what Malgus tells you about why he's serving Acina (I haven't had a character side with the Republic on Iokath yet) makes it clear that Acina is a *threat* to the Alliance and at some point probably intends to seize control of it by force if necessary...

    And it's right there in the Sith Code: "Through victory, my chains are broken" - but Acina makes an offer that will effectively give you shiny new chains to replace the ones you broke when you created the Alliance.

  4. There is one companion-related issue that only came to my attention when bringing Anlavi (my LS SW) up to date story-wise: I put Lana in the Revealing Bodysuit, but in some cutscenes she appears to be in the Concealed Bodysuit. I *think* it's primarily in the cutscenes that open new content chapters (i.e., each chapter of KOTET/KOTFE), and in one instance (the opening cutscene for JUS), she had the "classic customization" that overrides what she's wearing. I haven't noticed any other companions being affected by this, but that might just be because Lana, Vette, and Jaesa are the only companions I use with Anlavi outside of story requirements (Jakarro on Onderon, Major Anri on Ossus and Meridian Complex, etc) so haven't changed their outfits.
  5. Yes, I know there were post about it, but would like to create another with few questions.

    1. What do you think will Malgus do in next story patches?

    2. How do you think why and for what purpose Malgus wanted ships and a droid at the end of Onslaught?

    Just to escape, to prepere revenge or something entirely different?

    3. Am I only one that would love to make Malgus a new Emperor of Empire? Do you think it will be possible?

    1. I'm guessing either he'll try to convince us (as Alliance Commander) to help him overthrow Acina/Vowrawn, or else he'll turn up in the mess to deal with Valkorion's "resurrection plague" and make a headache out of that. possibly both at the same time.

    2. The droid was a medical droid, he wanted it to finish healing him. I'm pretty sure he only wanted one ship, not multiple, to facilitate his escape.

    3. If Marr were still alive, he'd have my vote. Not sure if Malgus would be better or worse than Acina/Vowrawn. And it's entirely possible that helping Malgus become Emperor is planned for a future story arc.

  6. What Acina gets:

    † your powerbase (the Alliance);

    † to be your superior and boss you around;

    What you get:

    † nothing (you never technically lost your Darth title)

    Yeah, that choice was so, so hard for me. :D

    IKR? The SI technically gets to *keep* everything, but you and it become under Acina's control, so it might as well be hers, and the SW is quite literally asked to hand it all over to Acina in exchange for returning to the role of "Empress's pet puppet assassin". To me, it seems that for either class, the offer (for most, at least. motivations vary) is insulting and offensive, and suggests that Acina's primary if not sole motivation is having direct and undisputed control of *everything* around her...and likely to prove to be worse than Valkorion or even Palpatine in the long run (Valkorion's penchant for eating worlds aside)

    All that said, let's not forget the Sith Code:

    There is no peace, there is only passion

    Through passion, I gain strength

    Through strength, I gain power

    Through power, I gain victory

    Through victory, my chains are broken

    The Force shall free me.

    The only thing our characters would get by accepting Acina's offer is shiny new chains to replace the ones we've broken.

  7. Gnost-Dural is either captured / dead Imp side or perfectly well and free and back as a Jedi Master on Pub side.

    Malora is either dead / captive Pub side or i don't remember every choices for her Imp side but i think you can either kill her, let her go or ask her to join your Alliance.

    In any case, she's not part of the Empire anymore, which is why she was replaced for everyone, while G-D is still there pub side

    Speaking of Master Gnost-Dural...after Acina's "generous offer" of "give me total and absolute control of your entire power base and I'll graciously allow you to return to my predecessor's chosen role for you of 'pet puppet assassin'"...my SW is wanting to:

    (a) get in touch with Scorpio, whom she'd allowed to replace Aries on Iokath, to inquire about the possibility of either providing ships/support or else a means of hiding Odessen from the empire, perhaps by erasing (or scrambling) all data in all computer systems regarding its location (except for Alliance ships, of course);

    (b) run a covert op to extricate Master Gnost-Dural from the Empire and let him go free with a promise to keep Odessen's location secret (assuming that portion of (a) is successful);

    © send an official apology to the Republic, explaining that what she'd thought were signs that the Empire was changing for the better proved to be false, and offering to aid the Republic, with a mention that a possibility of actually becoming a full member world is on the table for negotiations - provided current Republic leadership proves far less fanatical than Saresh and Malcolm;

    and (d) pack up the entire Alliance base and move it to Nathema.

  8. It would be great if it was Marr and/or Satele. I'm also thinking Meetra Surik/Exile, however. (I likewise echo the hope that it'll be without too much nauseatingly saccharine Kumbaya BS, though.)

    As stated by many others up-thread, though:

    Revan really needs to stay dead this time :confused:

    Let the poor sod rest, finally --They've surely got someone mouldering away somewhere that they can use as a tired and hackneyed plot-device for the next 10 years, no?

    I'm *really* hoping it's Marr. Keep in mind that Satele is currently comatose suffering the effects of Valkorion's "final weapon" (I'm betting it's a resurrection contagion and the renewed pub/imp war is fueling it), and anyone else would also be vulnerable to that. Unless it's Vaylin returning as a force ghost? Now *that's* an interesting thought...but Scourge never knew Vaylin...

    I actually LIKE Marr. And I can't say that for very many Sith (aside from Lana - two of the three of my characters that I've actually gotten full up to the current plotline have proposed to her. Vaccina flirts a lot but won't ever go beyond that, she draws power from keeping her own desires unsatisfied, as opposed to drawing on hate/anger/fear)

  9. There was a problem with inq's ships, but it appears that's been sorted with tomorrows (14th Nov) patch, so hopefully our ships will no longer be ghost towns... ( secretly I was blaming treek, thought she had ate them all.....) :eek:

    I was wondering why Vaccina's ship was still empty...hopefully tomorrow fixes it.

  10. So, going over keybinds just because and...

    Discovered one to expand/toggle the companion quickbar somehow...

    Spent half an hour trying to figure it out before I learned that it was something that had been removed.

    Either bring it back or remove the keybind from preferences.

  11. Uh... what?

    You can use any authenticator application with your SWTOR key and you can run it on any device. You can even run the same key on multiple devices.

    I recommend Microsoft's authenticator. You can run it on any device, including phone and PC, and it will back your keys up to the cloud. That way, if you change devices, you don't have to switch keys on everything.

    I've used Google's as well and it works great.

    You're just one app download away from extra Cartel Coins every month and vendor access.

    Wait, you mean we don't have to use the SWTOR specific one? I could be using Authy or Google Authenticator?

  12. It's really not hard to get the Social requirements, even these days.

    Really? Because I have a lvl 75 SI that's gone through all story content *and* a weekly guild FP run for MONTHS and is still social 1...

  13. Quick note for Ord Mantell: Trooper and Smuggler start *almost* simultaneously (Trooper’s opening cinematic first, then Smuggler’s). Corso mentions the downed walker carrying the trooper, yes, but also at the end of the Trooper cinematic, you see the smuggler’s ship dodging fire through the open hatch of the walker as it comes in to land. That’s how close the timing is.
  14. I see. So, a trailer for a not-yet-made game somehow predicts the fate of BW? Seems a bit of a stretch. I think maybe you worry too much, stop looking for signs that BW is going to survive some perceived failure of business.

    I just got sick of hearing “how Anthem does determines what happens to BioWare”.
