  1. So what is more valuable in the current meta-game? A Jugg tank or Tanksassin? I've heard tremendous good things about Jugg tanks, especially in huttball. I guess I am not fully aware of the differences, strengths, and weaknesses of the two classes. Also, it will be my first tank roll. My server, as I am sure many are, is in dire need of more tanks. I personally find the lack of tank disturbing. Any answers are greatly appreciated.
  2. So my phone doesnt allow me to use the search feature so if this is a reoccuring question, I apologize ahead of time. my question in regards to lvl 50 gear is basically this: if I have a lvl 50 Pub character, JC Sage, and Im lvling a Imp character, this one being a IA Sniper, can i purchase and use up my RWZ and WZ comms from my Sage to buy gear for my Imp. I would be buying Smugg GS pvp gear, and then transferring them to my IA. I cannot remember if pvp gear is bound or BOE, if its not bound can i email it to my alt or will only GS be able to equip it. Sorry once again if this isnt written well, my phones a POS. >
  3. http://s1286.beta.photobucket.com/ I tried going for the minimalist feel.
  4. My problem is that she wont even give me a conversation to remove the collar. She has >2000 affection and I am in Kaas City, and lvl 16, and she has yet to give me the first conversation. =(
  5. My question here is what spec tree would really play more like the Sith Lord himself? I hear Vengeance but also read that Vengeance is more companion oriented.. I personally do not think Vader would worry too much about a companion. And Rage doesnt seem Vader like... Also sorry is this isnt posted in the correct thread, and feel free to move. Any feedback is appreciated.
  6. In the patch notes, it states the emote changes, now being voiced. Is there a list somewhere that actually states which ones have been changed?
  7. Vaas'Goth <- Thank you to Magic: The Gathering EddieVaa'der KingJer'emy
  8. I use the 4 hotbar set up and still have my melee binded ;however, I hardly use melee. As a healer, you won't be using your lightsaber very much, unfortunately. Disturbance is more powerful and easier on your force pool, also ranged; however its channeled.
  9. Its been my first serious healer in an mmo, and I am enjoying it very much. My DPS was kind of boring playwise, but I thoroughly enjoyed that class's storyline, and that what kept me playing. Like you said, soloing heroics is possible and still offers a challenge vs. getting your *** pounded being a dps while trying to solo the same stuff. Theres a difference between impossible and challenging. You also stated that fps are easier to get into. Idk if you ask me, healer is fun and enjoyable. You have to manage more during raids, fps, operations, etc.. So the only time I ever feel bored is if someone is way overleveled for the missions at hand, be it me or another player.
  10. This^^^ Was excited since I live in a burb of Chicago and none of the aforementioned cities are even close. I'd even go to St. Louis for this Q&A but they aren't even visiting there. da ***?
  11. also Deception follows this game as does Fatal Alliance and Revan. I did read Deception, however, after reading the likes of Dune and Foundation, I thought the writing to be too childish imo. Deception held my attention lon.g enough to finish. The main character in Fatal Alliance had the last name of Nebula.... Isn't that what Zena, girl of the 21st century said all the time? So after reading that last name once, I put the book in the B&N bag, started my car and drove ten minutes and promptly returned the book.
  12. Not to rain on your parade, but Malgus and the Twi'lek from the intro video of Deception were lovers. Her name is Eleena. And if you'd like to know what happens between them 1)read the book Deception or 2) click the spoiler: So with that, I find any love relation between Malgus kinda far fetched. Also, Malgus seems so ****** until I found out he had a lover. And constantly had to protect her. Then I decided he was a little *****.
  13. Wow. Too easy. Actually disappointing. His endless minions on that ship was harder than he, himself.
  14. Also, the New Jedi Order, created by Skywalker and gang actually promoted love and marriage. They thought the celibacy of the Old Republic-era was backwards and cut off Jedi to their fellow counterparts.
  15. On my first smuggler, i went light side and it was easy scoring points with corso, bowdaar, or risha. Although risha does prefer to keep credits a priority over alignment. Due to the fact you dont get any bonus for staying neutral, its to your benefit to choose light or dark, so after i switched from my dead server to a populated one ,and i know the storyline, ive decided to roll a dark smuggler because so many people deserve to die imo. i will shoot every female or male between the eyes if they betray or trick me. Screw Corso. i just couldnt stand being a doormat for everyone to get light side points. same thing with KoToR or Fallout or Skyrim. being good sucks most of the time. imo.
  16. Don't blame BW. They just listened to the majority of their players. Everyone complained about his hook shot. Instead of complaining, I just learned to utilize it and I agree, it was better than his jetpack, which looks cooler though. But Corso is supposed to be ranged... Why's he jumping into battle.
  17. Some may disagree, but Han also lived in the time where there were practically no Jedi. Straight forward fights seem ******, but fighting Jedi/Sith in this kind of magnitude, well thats stupidity, not ******ery. I think Hans smarter than that. Gunslinger= Malcom. Scoundrel= Han.
  18. Movado Plissken; Scoundrel at your service til the other guy pays more.
  19. Make sure you are grabbing the commendations instead of the gear after quests too. The gear bought with those are almost always better than quest gear. As a Scrapper myself, the only quests I've had trouble where against the Sith and Diago and some of the final secondary quests ie: destroy x amount of baddies, interact with x amount of objects, kill final boss. Other than that, the game hasn't proven to be that difficult. I usually start with my DoT or Shoot First, then start pistol whipping them and kicking them in the nads, make sure to throw on Pungentcy, and if Corso is around half health switch to him and start healing. After that, make sure your DoT is always up and be ready to use Cool Head and All In. Usually can take a champ or an elite out everytime less there lvl is higher than you.
  20. Also, 20 minutes in beats almost an hour in before you see Anakin for the first time, if you believe him to be the main character. The main character doesnt need to be there right at the beginning. ANH did exceptionally well telling the story.
  21. Thank you all for educated responses. I admit naming this thread "3D"mustve led some of you to believe I was talking about how the 3D looked. And in the OP I didnt say one word about it. Well, if you like to read the famous Star Wars introduction and subtitles, the 3D will certainly pop out at you. Other than that I didnt really notice it. It didnt win me over. I dont think this whole move to converting into 3D is a good idea, but eh, Lucas needs to feed his family. For everyone that did enjoy it, I am glad you are getting what you paid for: entertainment. And if you enjoyed it, good for you. /sincerity Thank you all for your well educated responses. During Amidala's Senate hearing, The Chancellor seems to be on her side, until Mas Amedda (the blue alien with horns that sticks around for Palpatines terms, and becomes part of the Imperial council after the rise of the Empire) whispers in his ear and then he totally decides pretty much, "Eff you, Amidala." We will settle this another day, and yada yada yada. I think this was actually done to show that he was in fact under bureaucrats power. After this, he also let the Trade Federation Representative speak over her through their objections, which two minutes prior would not. And thats when they asked more or less, for evidence, in which, amazingly, she had none.... Why she didnt show the little hologram of Sio Bibble i do not know.. I didnt post it, but i, too, have always thought why a Trade Federation would profit over a blockade that bans trading... How would that profit a Trade Federation?? Making Qui-Gon a main character is weird because, say what you will, he has so little to do with the saga as a whole. For the record, I love both Liam Neeson and Jinn, with Jinn being probably my favorite Jedi. I posted this because its been about ten years since I have watched this film. I was too young when it first came out, and not that I would ever go out of my way to defend these prequels, I always tried to accepting of what Lucas tried doing.. But man when you write a story that makes no sense with weird plot holes, its so hard to defend Star Wars.
  22. I have just returned from watching Episode 1 in 3D, and I am completely baffled at some of the major plot points, among other things. I watched the midnight premiere back in its original release, and as a kid, I enjoyed it... Of course I enjoyed it, its Star effin Wars. This doesnt mean however that you can have such a stupid plot line up the rest of the saga. 1) The biggest plot hole is the decision for a vote of "No Confidence" in the former Supreme Chancellor. If he was backed by greedy corporations or bureaucrats, then while the hell would Amidala's proposal even get acknowledged, let alone get accepted? That makes absolutely no sense. 2) The whole midichlorian thing to explain the power of the Force.... I dont need to explain this, and if I do, you are on the wrong forum. Its dumb, pointless, and backwards. 3) As technologically advanced as this universe is... Why did no one believe Amidala during her Senate hearing that Naboo was actually invaded?? I guess this galaxy has no form of media whatsoever. 4) The whole Anakin blowing up a Trade Federation control ship is absurd... 5) The lack of an actual main character baffles me too. If anyone knows who the real main character is in Episode 1, please explain this to me. Other gripes, be it small or big, I guess: No Han Solo-ish type characters in the prequels. We get to see plenty of bounty hunters, but no daring, charming character.. Although I feel like young Obi-Wan was quite charming throughout, just not the same as Han is. Do Jedi, or better yet, anyone in the future, not mind the smell of burning flesh? Theres better ways to burn a body.. I am not sure whether every cast member just did their absolute worse, or if the direction Lucas wanted were for cardboard acting... No one displays emotion.. I get the reason behind Jedi, as well as Queen Amidala, but Shmi? Padme? Especially Padme, through this character the Queen can say or show her emotions as she pleases. When C-3P0 shows more emotion than your actors.... Something may be wrong. On the plus side: Podracing! Duel of the Fates! Qui-Gon Jinn! = Liam Neeson Natalie Portman! ::End gripes::
  23. Surely you couldnt understand my point of view without paragraph breaks; i can understand your confusion.
  24. Let's start off in order: Ep.1 had bad acting whether it be by Jake Llyod, Ewan Mcgregor, or Liam Neeson. None of them excelled, which is unfortunate because both Mcgregor and Neeson are great actors. Blame it on the dialogue which was horrible, but I blame it on the decision of making virtually everything in these prequels with computer graphics. Anyone realize how hard it must be to act against a green screen, green characters, and with nothing to actually act with while filming a scene? That's why I excuse Christianson's bad acting later on in the series. He's a novice in general, not particularly bad, but when you veterans such as Neeson or Portman not giving their best, how do you expect a novice to perform a role as complex as Anakin correctly? Ep. 1 also did something that should have never had an explanation: The Force. More specifically, the medaclorian bable Qui-Gon explains. For the love of droids, please don't explain the one, mysterious thing of the universe. It wasn't necessary and took away the element that made it so wonderful. Next, Gungans. There's no explanation on why they compete Ewoks on how pointless races are in this universe. Ep. 2 ruined Yoda and Obi Wan. Making Obi Wan look so dumb compared to Skywalker. We are expected to believe later he really bests him in a fight. Yoda became a gimmick with his fight scene and while I enjoyed it, his dialogue during this movie hurts his character development. What we see here doesn't feel like the Yoda we meet later. Really quick: Anyone care to clarify why Darth Maul had the upper hand or "high ground" and Obi Wan was able to jump and kill him, but Anakin couldn't? That's ridiculous. Did the Republic not have an Army of its own? Why was it forced to use the clones? Did people not feel like signing up? Because in Ep.4 whether or not they agreed, it seemed like the youth were all about joining and seeing the galaxy. The younglings idea was horrible, as was Padme's death to a lost will to survive.. How the hell does a droid even determine something like that? Did she use her dying breaths to tell it that? Mace Windu, Lucas's, imo, strongest, most ****** character in the prequels went out like a chump. I apologize for the rant, but the belief these were any good blows my mind. In my world, there's only Ep. IV, V, and VI. I also apologize for any typos, I'm on my BlackBerry at work and while I just milked the clock for an easy half hour to rant about SW, I just don't believe anyone besides Lucas' double chins actually enjoyed the prequels.
